Been using mine for almost a year now and it is perfect... l do mostly xc though
don’t worry mate! i used to say headset before one of my friends told me, i got supper embarrassed on the trails xd
Mine was having beers before recoding and talking to fast. Hahaha
Bahaha
Didn't he mean grease instead of loctight
I've had mine on my mtn bike for over 9 months and I've zero problems. I'VE also go the wave bars installed. Both have held up just fine and Ive gone on some rough trails and small jumps. Although, I am mindful about not landing with hardly any weight on the bars, just in case they break. But man, they look and feel nice. I saved myself like 150 bucks.
Great to consider and be alarmed. Plus no one will ever put weight on the bars it's common sense.
@@jamesedmerdelacruz9478 I always put my weight on the bars
We have the same wake stem and same color too..been using it for a year and still no issue's.
Low stack height only 30mm ,industry standard is 37,so these are excellent if you're steerer is slightly too short. 👍🇬🇧🙏
Just got mine. Can't beat that price. Good vid man
Corrie Shepard thanks. ...
Corrie Shepard bro how did is that stem holding up ??, it’s been a year so that’s a good time test for me lol
@@philrobinson215 How is the stem if u got it?
Barack o Trump I never got it in the end
Just bought one myself, along with a set of Wake bars for my budget fat bike, (£6.76 for the bar, £3.98 for the Stem) I had exactly the same problem as you, needed another spacer, didn't have one :D . Just took a chance, half expecting them to be garbage, but they are great, amazing value.
9 months later, are they still holding up?
Matt Jones are the stem and handlebars holding up or what?
I have a black color it looks great and much comfortable to use on a ride very easy to maneuver on a curve i do hope so it will last long
in the Philippines, i got one online for $3. Been looking at getting a more expensive one. But this has survived rocky terrain and near everyday road riding.
Got one..love it bit i cut my forks just below the stem..worked great!
Good stuff!
I just ordered one in blue for my Giant ATX. Looking forward to the first ride with the new stem. I ride West delray trails in South Florida. Thanks for the video oh I also ordered the 720mm handlebars on Amazon in blue too.
Are the bars good?
@@finlaykiernan2712 yes, they are very good. Still rocking them.
Have fun!
In Germany it cost on eBay 6.65 EUR with shipping, i ordered one for my MTB Hardtail
i had one of these they are very light but be carefull about tightening them as if you overtighten it the threds snap
Crikey, you're going way overboard, you can strip any alloy threads with too much torque.
I ordered red as well love it so far!
Dakota Brown awesome! I can't wait to get the bars soon
SHO VLOGS samee
Is it still working?
Homeboy looks and sounds like rick johnson,to cool.
Lol at the people correcting him about it being a stem. Who gives a F? Y’all know what he’s talking about. That’s the thing about cyclists, they always gotta be technical. Bicycles isn’t anything sophisticated, I work on cars so bike builds are like putting together LEGO’s.
Hahha. Thanks. Yeah people have nothing else better to do
its Lego...not Lego’s
It's a goose neck,haha
Couple months later - R they strong?
SketAnon I have ridden trails in FL. And have had zero issues.
I have sold the bike , but my buddy who now has it, hasn't had any issues
So what was your verdict? I just ordered the green one and the 720mm riser bars since my bike started with a 620 bar. Not gonna rude too hard. But damn needed wider
760mm for me
Its not a headset... its a stem
Mat Daoust yes. If I called a headset, calm down, it's ok.
Headset = Brain of the bike = Direction
Scott Elder no it’s not. you don’t call the fork the wheels because the fork is the fork and the wheels are the wheelz
@@selder03 geez, the back lash in this comment section is worse than Christian apologetics on LGBT issues......for real. Nice video, thank you. I've been thinking about getting one of these for myself.
@@namelastfirstname4124 hahaha. Good call.. thanks man! Yeah the CZcams comments are fun.
If you like the stem at that height just cut the steering tube with a pipe cutter (a few dollars tool at home Depot)
ya, but its ireversable, and if this was a crappy product, he couldn't go back.
Eh, just put a spacer on top, spacers are cheap.
I’d have flipped it to get the bars higher/closer to me. Looks like you’d get more of a riser?
I’ve had my wake stem and bar on my bike for about a year now never had a problem with it the stem is blue bar is black but I picked up another bike and I’m going to start a build with red bare and stem
And I’m a big boy pushing 300 pounds
Do you have the wake handle bars?
Yes there 620 mm
I’m going to try there crank set next
Edward Merino where did you end up purchasing it?
put some gold colored parts...or frame....then go iron man bike!!
Great video
I have it on my dirt jumpwr its good for now but still kinda sketched out about it
On a dirt jumper? Nice
Did you install your handlebars in front of the steerer tube?
Yes?
Have you installed them behind before?
No, never tried that or saw anyone do it. I assume it's comfortable?
@@MrTrashcan1 no..just brought it close to the steer tube.
Can you buy any part which covers the gap as you see the top of the forks (metal) peaking through? 🧐
It's a copy of Funn Funnduro.
Old thread but just ordered this and no stem bolts, any ideas if it's m5 or m6 bolts?
Now if I only could figure my newton meters.
Google calculator. That's what I did
Isit a bright red or more pinky
Did you add some spacers when you change your stem?
A couple
is it strong?
Eduardo Rodrigues so far so good. I dot feel any flexing.
Now, I ha entry done any downhill, but it's cnc so I'd think it would be just fine
Thanks alot
no worries
Does this fit on any size bike and bars or what???
1 1\8 stem. 31.8 bars.
How do u nw Which 1 to oder cause som1 said in comment it don't fit his bike
Ashley Thomas depends on the handle bar thickness. Older handle bars have 1in thick bars where they clamp. (No bulge)
Most modern (1998+ bikes) will have 31.8mm clamps. (Bulge on the bars)
it on amazon for 3.35 pounds
What’s the diameter of your handlebar
31.8. standard.
I got mine today. I want to know if your handlebar is still good as new. Thank you :D 2018.
The stem is. My buddy who. Ought the bike from me , rides harder than I did and he has zero issues
do you still using it until now?
I've ordered one in blue
Approx 6nm
i bought it for 5 usd works fine....
sraki awesome!
What size are the bolts ?
what size is your head tube would if fit on my 1.5 inch
It's standard 38.1 mm I think. So yes, it'll fit
Hey, does the stem come with a top cap?
Stems need a top cap?
No top cap
@@selder03 k
Machine aluminium headset????
Drew Street yeah yeah...stem.
dumb question maybe but how are they on a roadbike?
Fine if you like the twitchiness
@@selder03 Got them already and they are doing a great job so far.
its a stem not a headset
I bet you give some good headset..
The bolts strip really easily and the machining isn't that great
Hasn't happened yet. And also haven't heard of that happening.
Bummer if it happened to your stem.
Do you have to have spacers?
Depends on your fork tube length
These stems are garbage. Don’t do any heavy jumping or hard downhill riding because it WILL break..maybe not right away, but it won’t last overtime. If this is your only option, at least go to your local hardware store and get some better bolts.
These stems are not made for DH or Jumping.
It is a bit scetchy on how cheap it was
It's a lower price because they make a ton of them on the cheap. Savings is passed when buying directly from manufacturers as opposed to bike shops tacking on extra. So in a bike shop you would feel better at a 30$ price when it costs them 10$.
Exactly. If you look at the over priced FUNN brand, it's all the same but 3x the cost.
Canada $18.18 :(
31.8?
Yep
Awesome. I just ordered that same stem a couple days ago and wasn’t sure if the new handlebar I got would fit it it but sounds like it will
What happened in your nose
Jiu Jitsu.
I've got 1
Ashley Thomas you go girl. Mine is still going strong.
5 bucks from china
