Porsche 987 Boxster Cayman Battery Replacement Memory Saver

This video is to show how to replace a battery in a Porsche Boxster or Cayman 987 without losing memory in the vehicle.
A simple MotoMaster battery memory saver with a 9V battery was plugged into the vehicle's cigarette lighter prior to the disconnection of the battery.
The battery memory saver unit was purchased at Canadian Tire. They are available from PartSource as TL120208 MotoMaster Battery Replacement Memory Saver.
The old battery was replaced because the NOCO G3500 Smart charger indicated the existing battery would no longer hold a charge. This indication occurred during winter storage. The NOCO Smart charger indicating that the old battery would not hold a charge is covered also in the video. The old battery was put on a conventional battery charger and then put back on the NOCO unit which then continued to indicate the old battery would not hold a charge.
