when Ganondorf was in the throne room, kneeling before Rauru, Sonia and Zelda, that scene right there was a reference to Ocarina of Time when they showed him Kneeling before Zelda's father.
Small correction: The distant past when Zelda and the master Sword go isn't 10,000 years ago, it's more. 10K years ago was when the Ancient Calamity mentioned in Breath of the Wild happened, the one for which the Sheikah Technology was originally used to create the Divine Beasts and Guardians. If we assume that it takes 10K years for Ganondorf's mummified body to leak out enough malice to form into a Calamity, then that means that at least 20,000 years had to have passed between the Imprisoning War and Breath of the Wild's Calamity, and that's a low end estimate. The in game literature heavily implies that the Ancient Calamity from 10K years ago was not the first, and had at that point happened enough times to recognize it's cyclical nature. Exactly how long ago the Imprisoning War was is hard if not impossible to say until Nintendo comes out and gives us an exact number, but it should be safe to assume it's at least 30,000 years, and likely a lot longer.
Finally someone else that understands that... I've seen SO many people online saying it's 10000 years even though it makes no sense. Personally, I think it can't be less than 50000 (but I'm sure it's more). "Once an accident, twice a coincidence, three times a pattern" Before they noticed the pattern, they couldn't have built the Sheikah devices, and 10000 after that we have BOTW. So it couldn't be less than 50000 years ago if we go by the fact each time Calamity Ganon came back was in leaps of 10000 years. Also, Ganondorf did say that thousands of years will pass in the blink of an eye, it's most likely orders of magnitude over 10000. At least it's how I see it.
Unfortunately idiots on TV Tropes and Villains wiki are calling TOTK Ganondorf pure evil even though it’s not officially confirmed that it is a new timeline and if it is it’s not confirmed if Ganondorf is still the incarnation of Demsie’s hatred in this version (Basically it means Ganondorf will always be evil every time he comes back or is reborn).
Ganondorf in Tears of the Kingdom reminds me of his OOT counterpart here but mam he definitely was hungry for Power.
