When I was in Paktika in 2009-2010, everybody was a "resistance fighter with many kills" until the shooting started, and then all of a sudden, it was only the NATO forces shooting back. The older generation were legit fighters for the most part, but the ones from my generation were only there for a paycheck, which may or may not come. I was on a patrol once where we took 3 rounds of incoming rifle fire and the entire platoon of ANA soldiers with us refused to get out of their vehicles until WE stopped the "attack." Anything that wasn't locked up would be stolen and I mean ANYTHING. Their special operations forces were badass, but the regular ANA or ANP I personally dealt with were corrupt, lazy, and almost constantly high on hash or opium. I know I'll piss off people by saying that, but that was my experience.
I have heard this story from a few. And I have seen a documentary video that supports this. Afghanistan was too divided in many aspects to be one. Can you imagine what Afghanistan could have become if there was no war, and no corruption in the government.

In my personal three visits to Afghanistan (for dry fruit business purposes) Taliban are in full control and this is the first time, according to the locals, that they are enjoying peace and stability in the last fifty years. Groups such as these will tremble with just the sight of the Taliban, let alone fighting the Taliban! Come with me if you dare and see the reality for yourself.
When Tajik leader Dustom was in charge what did he do for the country? All he done in his time was drink a lot of alcohol now his in France canât even come back to his own country that says a lot about him. The Taliban have huge problems on their own dealing with the public order, mostly due to Afghanistan's wrecked economy, but at least the war is gone for now. I say let the Afghans themselves decide if they want to keep the Taliban around or not, and with time Afghanistan may have the chance to develop. I don't think there will be too much going on with them in power, but still yet it's not something for us to take care of, as the last two decades have shown.

If the Taliban are treating the minorities fairly, then there is no need for resistance, it will only be misused by foreign powers. I hope the Tajiks, Uzbeks, and Hazaras are treated the same as Pashtuns under the law.

there is no reason for these people to fight we have tested them in previous government 4 of 5 ministers were from panjshir they only brought corruption, nationalism. and also when they were in previous government they took over powerless people properties on force which most of them were sicks (hindus) i couldn't see our country future but since taliban came alhamdulillah there is peace i found hope for the feature. corruption, nationalism, racism every thing is over and also most of Panjshir people are now are with talibans these are only few people

Im a British afghan, have some family back home. Honestly since American left Afghanistan has changed massively in a positive way. Firstly thereâs no kidnapping stealing killing people feel safe. They have arrested over 40,000 heroin users from the streets and put them all in rehab. We all know whatâs happing in Americas streets with the drug users and homelessness. Theyâve cleaned up big cities build new roads and even planned a futuristic city near kabul. Signed up oil and other mineral contracts with china Russia turkey worth billions. As an afghan Iâm proud I donât think there will be another foreign invasion of my county the Soviet failed the Americans and nato failed. We will be strong soon the new. as longs we donât fight between us we can become unstoppable. Pashtoon Tajik hazara togther can become powerful.

Today, some of Massoud's mujahideen fighters left and went to join Isis and Isis K elements to wage war against the Taliban and the West as of all the tragedies reported in the news these recent days.

The Pushtun tribe in Afghanistan did defeat many invading nations but the Shia northern alliance collaborated with everyone, thus they are hated by the Afghan majority. Among them are a group called the Hazaras. They are the Mongol leftovers when the Afghans drove the Mongol invaders out. Today the Taliban is bearing the torch of their great ancestors i.e. the Pushtuns

Pushtuns are the children of Israel. They came to settle in Khorashan (Afghanistan) under the leadership on Kayes Abdur Rashid who reverted to Islam. The name Afghanistan was derived from one of their ancestors called Afghana Afghana was a trained military personnel of the royal court of King David. Those tanks were brought to Panjshir by the Northern Alliance when they run away from Taliban in 1996. Russians were not defeated in Panjshir. Rather they had a treaty with Shora-e-nezaar to not fight with each other. Ahmad Shah Masoud was KGBâs choice after Babrak Karmal and Najibullah Ahmadzai to lead the war torn country and had multiple KGB advisers stationed in Panjshir. Russians were defeated in greater Kandahar, Herat, greater Paktia, Ghazni, Kunar, Nengarhar, Nooristan, etc. Out of three million Afghans who lost their lives during Russian invasion none were from Panjshir.

The only place Russians lost heavily was the passage in Qarabagh where Karim Khan Qarabagh and his brothers brutally slaughtered the Russians.
