  • It's been four months since the Taliban swept to power in Afghanistan, something they did faster than anyone anticipated. Since August, they have had to make a rapid transition to running the day-to-day business of a struggling state. From Kabul to the Taliban stronghold of Kandahar and the mountainous Wardak province, our team have witnessed the grim reality of Taliban rule. FRANCE 24's senior reporters Catherine Norris Trent and Roméo Langlois bring us this exclusive full-length documentary.

This is what missing in this documentary. To understand the conflict, you need to go back in history and understand how these 2 factions came to be.
My father is Pashtun and tells me all the stories about the reality of the situation which is absent in almost all documentaries available to date... in short, these 2 factions will never see a mutual ground until one control's the other.

It's easy to be worried about mundane things in the first world country (gas prices, Instagram likes, being famous). If you ask one of those girls what they want, it wouldn't be to be famous or have all the luxury in the world; it will be to get a shot at their dreams.
