If the Sandvich is thrown by a Heavy, that Heavy's thrown Sandvich doesn't heal himself, but another Heavy who threw his Sandvich can heal from the first Heavy.
It's actually a good plan when you both can't eat.

Some people read this and just refuse to give ANY scout health, so PSA. scout's are teammates too. If they're dying don't hesitate to give them a sandvich like you would a medic.

@@BonziBUDDY not really, the sandwich heals 50% of total health for every class, but healing only 62.5hp out of Scout's 125hp with its cooldown might be too cheap. I speculate though, maybe Valve really thought that 75+75 = 125

@@maxchrome_ Pretty sure the thrown sandvich heals half of max health, not the dropped one. If the sandvich is dropped on death, it usually only gives you a static 50 HP if you run over it. But for scouts, it's 75.

I guess it's an unintentional effect because in the past picked up the dropped weapon itself for ammo (instead of people dropping boxes on death)

I was ok with the gun skins because there's nothing wrong with borrowing but I didn't like the ammo boxes dropped on death and being able to switch guns. made it too realistic and TF2 isn't supposed to be like that

This might be a hot take, but I feel like the Sandvich is TOO good in its current state. I wouldn’t call it overpowered at all, because that’s a huge stretch, but I think playing HWG with a shotgun (not just playing Fat Scout) is legitimately fun, and I wish that was more of a viable play style than it currently is. I like TF2 Classic’s balancing of the item. Like I said, it isn’t overpowered by any means in its current state; I just think it’s kinda lame that it’s a direct upgrade from stock.
