In like 2012 I got stuck in Queens on my way to Seattle. My college buddy and former roommate had previously moved back to NY, so I texted him that I was stuck in Queens. "So what are we doin?" he says. Long story short, he picks me up from my hotel and brings me to Don Peppe. I had those baked clams among many other things. Everything better than the next.
Wow I’m born and raised in this neighborhood still here today. Don Peppe has been around for as long as I can remember best Italian food I ever had. They also had a very bad fire in 1990 that’s gutted the whole building I was very young at the time but will never forget that image
First off, Happy anniversary. You both are truly blessed. It does my heart good to see the love. The food, Oh my god, the food looked out of this world. The only thing that stuck out on the bill was $10.00 for a soda? Wishes and prayers for many more wonderful years. Thanks for taking us along,

There was not one thing that you ordered that I wouldn’t have eaten. Everything looked SO delicious. Those stuffed mushrooms looked divine. Ditto for the clams. Did they have desserts or were you both stuffed by that point?
