- We just picked up this 2003 Polaris Sportsman 600 Twin on Wednesday the 16th of November 2022. This atv has been sitting outside a few miles from where I live for over 2.5 years. Let's get this quad cleaned up and see if it will run.

A rusty exhaust on a (at the time) 19 year old machine that's been left in the guys yard for a couple of years was.... RUSTY??? Nooooo??? That defies all logic. A metal exposed to the elements for an extended period of time, a part that is exposed to high heat which degrades factory coatings like powder coating.... Rust? Mind blown. I was looking at buying a Polaris, but, as pointed out, its obvious that Honda, Kawasaki, Arctic cat, KYMCO, Suzuki, Yamaha, KTM,CF Moto, Argo, and even Canned Ham have rust proof protection that far exceeds 19 years, so this helps. I bet it probably turns the motor oil dark after only 15,000 miles too. Junk dude. Hope you came out alright on the purchase. After seeing the exhaust and that camo bag (that only a man would use) with some cleaning, you should be able to recover most of the 500 bucks u probably forked over for it.
Total sarcasm, joking around, ruffling feathers, typically not a "Richard", but the rusty exhaust brought it out of me. 😂 Similar atv on social media in late 2023-2024 would sell for anything between 2000/4200 depending on seller and how proud they are of it. Urs is much nicer than my O5 500 HO, and i gave 3000 for it 4 years ago. Stopped shorty after leaving sellers house and covered machine with a tarp to keep kids and women from seeing the exhaust was rusty, cut it off when i got home, put all chrome on it, a loud muffler, immediately left home after install and went and voted Democrat. 😂 FML. I have to stop 😮😅😂❤
Lmao. Nice bro yeah I actually did very well on this quad. I got it for $300 and I fixed his generator also. I ended up getting $3000 for it after I went through it and cleaned it up plus a 02 trx250ex. I was shocked what I got for it. Definitely one of my better flips for sure. But yeah every polaris I've had come through all had rusty exhausts

Prices are different all over the country. It all comes down to are you happy with it and if it does what you need it to do. To answer your question if it was in my area I wouldn't have bought it for $2500 but it's about the going rate

I’m new to atv’s. Have a friend selling almost this exact same one so I was doing research and found your channel. I would be using this atv for mostly hunting/farming. You think this would be a good atv for pulling discs, rakes, etc? Need one that can handle pulling weight

I have a 03 700 twin, When I give it full throttle it falls flat on its fast. Starts and runs fine all day long just as long as I don't gi e it full throttle. Quad did sit for some time so im hoping dirty carbor bad gas maybe. Any thoughts as to were tostart would be great thanks.
That's a good place to start. Always check all the simple stuff first
May check carb jetting, could have a peice of sand/dirt/ R U S T that came off exhaust and found its way into the ✈️ in carburetor
