4:32 In all honesty I thought Roman's Career was over after that one. You know you F'ed up big time when even The Rock is getting Booed standing right beside you.
Even with his heel turn, it was clear that he was completely done following that PPV.
I thought the same thing. I felt bad for Roman that night
Wasn't his fault though. Bad booking was at fault
@@Windrake101 yeah Roman was pushed so quickly that almost every one of his weaknesses as a wrestler was exposed on a nightly basis!
His promos lacked believability (you could literally tell it was Vince McMahon talking and not Roman), His matches were very predictable (to the point that he got the Dubbed Cena 2.0 by the fans), and he just didn't have the charisma to be the Face of the Company... Thank God that all changed
@@zenos02i just feel like Roman should been a heel for his entire career in WWE
Shane McMahon out-striking MMA fighter Matt Riddle will always make me chuckle
Drew's "alright, it's fuckin' ON!" face when Shane tried to stiff him with jabs was great too...
Well I mean Shane is a legit martial artist
Shane's powerful punches, lookig like tickle
Being an MMA fighter doesn't mean one is good at striking. Ronda Rousey is an MMA fighter too but even you can out-strike her.
It's not real, ya know.
*Triple H winning the 2016 Rumble should be on the list as well. It was very unnecessary because it was just a pathetic attempt for the company to get the fans to cheer for Roman which failed miserably. They really should’ve gone with Dean Ambrose, because after all, he was the hottest babyface in the company during that time period but WWE being a stubborn dirtbags they are stuck to their collars with Roman, which led to him and HHH having possibly the worst WrestleMania main-event of all time. It also didn’t help the fact that WWE completely muted the booing fans and that’s the last thing a WrestleMania main-event should be.*
I agree the Royal rumble match is to give a superstar an opportunity to win the title or make wrestlemania amazing not to put weak feuds or feuds we don’t want to see with the title on the line
Ambrose not winning still irks me.
@@Asheematay ambrose should've won the match, The event was a huge letdown.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! I BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS!! HHH WINNING MADE NO DAMN SENSE PLUS AMBROSE WAS WHITE HOT OVER!!!!!!!!!! There are multiple Royal Rumbles that Jericho should’ve won, it’s amazing how many chances they had
2013 should have been his moment
@acnologia no
@acnologia why ? He had just come back in 2012
Kevin Owens shouldn't have dropped his universal championship to oldberg. Jericho, Owens were the hottest in 2017. Chris Jericho shoul d have won the 2017 rumble match and face Owens at mania with the universal championship on the line. Randy vs Wyatt Match was nothing special.
I still remember when Andre the Giant eliminated John Cena, Daniel Bryan, and Bret Hart to win the rumble. He then did his running dive over the top rope onto all three of them. Andre ran back into the ring grabbed the mic and said, "Woooooooo."
Andre did a better 619 than Rey Mysterio himself also
He did the best 5 star frog splash that night too

In my opinion Kane should’ve won the 2011 one and remember is 2012 version when he came back after Mark Henry injured him and before the Royal Rumble 2012 Cena and Henry had a match and Kane came back with new masked version. So I think Kane should’ve won Royal Rumble 2011 and at the WM I would like to see him masked version but better than old ones.
Sheamus winning the 12 rumble was not the bad decision in booking, the wrestlemania squash match was the poor booking

wwe is currently better than the attitude era by standards with hhh in charge
0:38 I think today fans would not suspect another wrestler behind a headline like "Jeff Hardy found unconscious before a match"
For me, having Brock Lesnar win last year's Rumble was a downer. Because at the Elimination Chamber premium live event, Brock would win the WWE Championship anyway and then would face Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the main event at Wrestlemania 38 with a winner-take-all stipulation. Granted, the match was great. But not too many people wanted to see Brock vs Roman again for the trillionth time to begin with. And now Roman has held both titles since Wrestlemania and they haven't unified the titles into one nor have they taken one title away from him. Also, as far as Charlotte Flair winning the 2020 Women's Rumble, I don't know which was worse: Charlotte winning a Rumble match that she didn't really need or having her challenge for the NXT Women's Championship against then-champion Rhea Ripley. Since then, no other Rumble winner has challenged for an NXT title. If this was ratings purposes, they failed as AEW Dynamite was still kicking their tails on Wednesdays.
I have no problem that Brock winning it
To the first part of your comment. As I grow older, I've become more wise to these terrible decisions like having Batista/Brock/HHH win the Rumble when they are stand alone wrestlers. Their name and fame are enough for them to be there and for people to understand that they are good. Another reason why I will never forgive McMahon (not that he's asking) for ending the streak. Especially with Brock. Lesnar didn't need it. Give it to someone who's almost there but just needs the extra push to put them over the top.
Brock vs Roman wasn't the original plan. due to injury the whole story had to be changed (not sure but I think it was Braun or Goldberg maybe even Bray). Roman was only planned to be universal champion for a long time. just odd that it took them more than a year to fix the unnecessary double champion story
that 1 where Brock was owning the Rumble but got taken out by Drew was 1 I never liked, I always thought Brock should have won that 1.
I actually liked Vince winning. It set up the big Austin/McMahon PPV match that made it all worth it and Vince was the top heel in the company, so it serviced the storyline.
I completely agree with most of the rest.
Also, it really speaks to how many booking boo-boos they've made at the Rumble when Studd winning in 1989 out of nowhere didn't even make the list, lol.
But it is predictable to swerve the fans that Austin was going to Wrestlemania anyway.
Studd was only a test in years to come
The only thing it did was set up Paul Wight's debut at the February PPV.
Vince winning was terrible and obviously fulfilling his own personal dream of being a big time wrestler (similar to when he booked himself to win the championship 🤮). Add in the fact that he was one of the ones to start it and spent like half an hour on commentary during the match and it was all just terrible. Not to mention that this kept Austin out of the ring for a long time
Vince McMahon winning was a complete waste of time
i’m still mad about jericho not winning. sometimes something is predictable, because it’s the right thing to do. wwe just made a swerve for the sake of a swerve, they didn’t like that the fans knew what they were trying to book so they changed it out of spite
And they did great since Sheamus was legit and a babyface at the time.
One of the worst Royal Rumble decisions will be taken in this year's Royal Rumble I can feel it
What you thinking?
But Cody is wrestling Royalty
Vince hopping in.
@@SerAkimbo most assume that Cody won't win this as they have already Confirmed his Return in Advance and instead they are giving it to the "Surprise" entrant that is going to be the Rock, just so that they can Justify that the Roman vs Rock match that basically everyone knows since like 2 Years ago will happen
CM Punk not winning 😂
Jeff and Christian would've been great.
Christian attacking Jeff, would have been way cooler. I can't believe wwe pretended that it wasn't their original plan, only changed it cuz it leaked.
Some great wrastlin' content... 👍🏻

Wrestlelamia is a mook😒
The single worst Royal Rumble decision ever: making the winner the challenger in the main event of WrestleMania. Took a lot of the "anyone can win" mystery out of it.
How does it take it out it just adds more meaning to the moment for whoever wins it
The rules nowadays state that whoever wins the Royal Rumble match gets a world title bout at the following WrestleMania event.
So you're saying that Royal Rumble should just be Andre the giant battle royal?
Love your videos keep it up
Hey Edge got the last laugh with him and Foley having the best match of WM22
It was far more memorable then Cena vs HHH tbh
Because of the burning table spot
Very Nice list bruv. Hope WWE keeps improving
I also cosplay Ranboo, and I just have to say that your cosplay is one of the best I have seen!!! Keep it up!
Anything to do with Shane McMahon was a bad idea
As this Wrestlemania showed!
Thank goodness for Snoop Dogg.
Even Batista has acknowledged that Daniel Bryan should have won the 2014 Royal Rumble.
John Cena Beating Edge @ Royal Rumble 2006 was the wrong booking decision edge should've retained but if that happened would've there been a Triple Threat Match between Cena Edge and Triple H but didn't they do that @ Backlash the following month if I'm not mistaken?
@Daniel DeLeon 69 because edge should've had a longer Reign instead of Playing Hot Potato with the belt and John Cena vs Edge Vs Triple H should've happened in the Main Event because that would've been better than what we actually got.
idc what anyone says, the worst one to this day is brock solo eliminating half the contestants one by one.
and the reports showed how many ppl just turned their tv off.
You hate seeing dominace huh maybe you shouldn't watch wrestling
@@FazeRustyNuts Dominance can be tremendous to watch, but not in the way they did it. Brock didn't NEED to be shown as a beast again, and for a huge PPV main event you don't really want to watch some guy waiting for the next on in an empty ring.
The shot at 6:52 of Vince raising the Rock and John Cena's arms while C.M. Punk stands off to the side speaks volumes. Should've been a triple threat match with the two men Cena couldn't beat. Or alternately they could've done Punk's near-500 day reign against Undertaker's 20-0 streak.
but would you want Taker to beat Punk and become WWE Champion?
@@parkingmeters2646 it'd be better than Cena winning it again and would raise the stakes on the Streak if the champion of 500+ days couldn't end it, who could? Which I think there was a story right after WrestleMania 29 where the Shield triple powerbombed Undertaker through the announce table to write him off. That would've been a good setup imo for WrestleMania 30, where Taker has to put the Streak on the line for the first time in a Gauntlet match against all 3 members of the Shield (or at the very least a handicap match with Kane against the Shield). If the Streak was going to end, make it really count by having him beat one or two of them to increase it to 23-0, but lose in the end after a valiant fight. He put over Reigns a couple years later anyway. This could've been a more respectable way for him to do the honors so to speak.
@@jeremyhegg9367Highly unlikely they would do Title vs. Streak because Taker stopped wrestling full time since 2010 and CM Punk was going for time off.
But seriously, Cena/Rock 2 was terrible and nobody asked for it. A triple threat with CM Punk was the way to go.
I do still like the shocking twist at the 1999 Royal Rumble of Vince winning. Plus the following day on Raw he turned down the offer to face The Rock and it was given to Steve Austin since he was 2nd. I think it was a great heel work. Just me of course.
Vince winning that rumble isn't the problem with it. The problem is the rest of the match is pure trash, it's like 40 minutes of filler just to get back to the Austin/Vince stuff.
Seriously go back and watch it, it barely features any good spots or big names.
@@Jordo246 but they had solid talents, who else is going to Wrestlemania 15 other then Austin ? Austin would have won anyway
I actually liked the Hardy v Hardy fued. Had the Twist Of Fate DVD set that included it.
Nia Jax being #30 in the men’s rumble was a trash decision.
Had absolutely no business laying R-Truth out like that. I was INFURIATED when I watched it LIVE on pay per view.
it was something different. I was there live and the beating she took was a highlight. The 619 and RKO from Mysterio and Orton is one of the more memorable things of the match

Honorable mentioned:
1. Charlotte winning the Rumble 2020
2. Cena winning the Rumble 2013
3. Edge winning the Rumble 2021
4. Brock Lesnar winning the Rumble 2022
What you mean is, your fave not winning the Rumble every year.
@@dhenderson1810 My point is that those guys I mentioned who won the Rumble before does need to win again. It was still a waste when Edge and Lesnar won the rumble the 2nd time, and still lost at WM. Vince McMahon overexposed Charlotte way too far. My argument is about lack of effort of pushing new stars. Vince McMahon had been pushing the same damn people.
Yooooo y'all still ain't gone let my man batista get over that 2014 thing huh? 😂
Dude if the rock wins the rumble this year I will be furious.
Rock is 51 and booking him over Bobby Lashley or Austin Theory would just be stupid
Cody Rhodes should win it I think.
Zayn for the rumble this year. Zayn or KO
But doesn't he have to go make movies and being in the Royal Rumble at 51 years old could potentially lead to an injury kind of like what happened at WrestleMania 29

Jerico never winning is insane and so is the fact that if they kept the title on cm punk that year he wouldn’t have left in the way he did one of the biggest issues he has is that he never main evented wrestlemania and all plans that had him doing so was scrapped very quickly
If anything, Matt should’ve turned on Jeff to challenge him for the title at wrestlemania making it the 3rd ever brother vs brother match at wrestlemania
This is why it’s a sigh of relief that McDouche doesn’t have creative control anymore
Say what you want about sheamus's win at least it was unpredictable and it gave daniel bryan his great storyline with aj lee.
It lead to the "YES" movement.
Kane has never win the Royal Rumble but he have the most eliminations
Thing about that wm 29 match with Cena is that was basically his send off as the top guy he needed that big win at wm to slowly end his run at the top that was his last mania main event it coulda happened at 28 but we all know fans woulda cried about that too just can’t please them
No, Cena was still on top and he was not scaled back yet
Daniel Bryan Elimination in Royal Rumble 2015 Match was The dumbest Decisivie ever made in WWE/WWF History…
the reason why he didn't win cause he was badly injured on his neck that time and year. You really think wwe was gonna want a 5'10 man with a neck injury face off against a big 6'3 dude like lesnar by taking all those suplex's... the internet smarks were literally putting bryans life in harm by wanting him in the main event with lesnar and bryan could've gotten killed in that main event

Problem with 2015 was had they eliminated Bryan last, reaction would have been less aggressive. His early and normal elimination was the problem
The last elimination was of Rusev and that was interesting cuz he came out of nowhere ...else the match was too boring and one of the main reasons is because people were expecting Rey Mysterio to comeback .

The marks hijacked the entire 2014 Royal Rumble event. The most annoying fans I've ever been around. They chanted stupid stuff and booed almost every match just to do it.
2015 also, they were the biggest crybaby bitches when they didn't get what they want 😂😂😂😂😂
Before watching this I’m already waiting for the Batista/Bryan story again …
I personally think it was a great idea
The only wrestler i knew that never won the royal rumble obviously is Kane since 2001 was the perfect year for it but this guy that i don't think alotta people would expect is Rikishi in 2000 considering how he looked OP for like 15 or 10 mins until it took more than one wrestler to eliminate him
Kane at one point held the record for most eliminations but could never win one. I feel him winning one should've been able to be put on his accomplishments.
Also I was livid when punk lost to rock. I was forever behind punk shattering all records and had no desire at all to see rock vs Cena
Don’t know what happened to or with Sheamus, but honestly he had everything Vince McMahon was looking for, height, talent and the only thing he probably lacked was mic.
But he was definitely talented.
35 years later, maybe it makes sense that moments like that can overshadow almost everything from the event itself. Why make these decisions? This explains it all in detail, but still some questions are left to be answered even further more
Only one I disagree with is the Shane one. If you just watch it live, listen to the crowd making “You still got it! (5 claps)” chants, and ignore the IWC Monday morning quarterbacking, you wouldn’t think he booked himself any stronger than usual.
I thought the Ronda one was going to be when she showed up at the end of the inaugural Women’s Rumble, and stole the spotlight from Asuka.
Asuka wasn't even in the match but yeah i agree Ronda's return was a mistake
#0. Giving the 1990 Rumble to Hogan instead of Perfect.
Major editing issues on this video yo. Audio cuts out and is missing for like 15 seconds u played the b roll of Shane McMahon twice
WWE not letting Daniel Bryan win The Royal Rumble because Triple H, Stephanie, & Vince McMahon said he was a "B+ Player" should be #1.
Ye I get it but imo his road to Mania was better without him winning the Rumble
@@crackedi even though it did work out for Bryan in the end but Batista winning was just very unnecessary and Guardians of the Galaxy was about to come out several months later. I love Batista but he was just the wrong guy at the wrong place at the wrong time.
and they were right.
He was never booked for the Rumble Match.
They we're right lmao
Once In A Lifetime Story Between The Rock And Cena Was So Dumb
Batista winning the Royal Rumble in 2014 was great to watch as a fan but when I saw that they turned him heel , I knew something was wrong after the event. The triple threat match with Bryan, RKO and then the feud with Evolution and The shield . He was a heel afterwards. Wwe rectified it later on.
Anyway Batista later on himself said in a podcast interview that he wanted to come back as a heel but the creative headed by Vince didn't agree to it and thought that he should be a face after he returned after 4 years. But Batista had left as a heel back in 2010 working a program with John Cena to put him over which he did really well . He was such an awesome heel that I also hated him back then and wondered what happened to good old baby face Batista 👼. Anyway Batista also never liked being Babyface , he always preferred to be a Big Bad heel which suited him so well . He was always selfless when he was playing a heel , always putting over the other guy.And his mic skills went up a notch when playing a heel.
The Best thing about Batista is that he never was a typical wrestler with good in ring abilities technically but he was a master storyteller and an amazing actor at that too. Maybe that's why I liked him , he came in wrestling so late and yet managed to achieve all this of course some people might say he was favoured by the right people at the right time but he also had a ability to soak all that knowledge in like a sponge . He was probably a great student of the game.
So yes today he is rightly deserving of being called the Best wwe wrestler turned actor in Hollywood. He deserves that success all the way but the foundation for that was led in WWE years before.
But for 4 years was to show how WWE wants to make building new stars who work hard
The fact that Kane never won a royal rumble pisses me off!
Jericho not winning in 2012 or 2017 is such a pain n devastating. He is such a legend n in the GOAT wrestlers debate. Come on Vince!
I personally liked vinnie mac winning the royal rumble. It’s so funny
Okay.
yea?
Careful you're gonna make the basement cry.
At some point Godfather should’ve won Royal Rumble the pimp persona would’ve been huge and striking a deal with Snoop or Bishop Don to be his manager would’ve been epic
Vince winning the Rumble was actually good though. Absolutely nobody saw it coming and it started the whole storyline with him and Stone Cold in the run up to WM 15.
True
Stone Cold vs Vince I think is in top 5 most memorable feuds in WWE/WWF history.
I never understood the big deal in Daniel Bryan
Overrated by the internet. Dude flopped hard when he had the belt
the internet smark fanboys loved him in ring of honor (indie wrestling)
For the life of me how was Daniel Bryan, a guy with about as much personality and character as a burnt out light bulb, the hot thing in Pro Wrestling in 2014?
One word *YES YES YES YES!*
I didn't get it either back then, still should've been him though
Once you get past the Yes chants hijacking the shows, Daniel Bryan was not the big draw that the internet makes him out to be. Poor house shows attendance, low merchandise sales, ratings never went up. And of course he got himself injured because of "muh workrate"
And his vegan heel character years later was far worse and is still one of the more damaging go away heats that a world champion got in recent memory
@@dkmenace1990 I think his vegan heel character could have worked if they turned him into a full-on woke warrior, who could quote Greta Thunberg and make suggestions to the crowd how to be more environmentally friendly.
Having a heel push PC and woke issues would really get heel heat.
The 2012-2017 Rumbles all left a lot to be desired, but the 2013-2015 booking of the event was exceptionally bad. Cena and Batista absolutely did not need those wins, and the less said about the Reigns disaster, the better. We saw a repeat of similarly WTF Rumble booking in 2021 and especially 2022.
Weirdly I don't think 2016 was actually that bad; the lineup was great and the premise of the Rumble being for the title was pretty cool (and maybe something we'll see repeated in a week?), but my main criticism is that HHH didn't need that win. Would have been far better if they used that as a star-making moment for Ambrose or the late, great Bray Wyatt.
One of the most questionable moments from the Royal Rumble should have been Melina early elimination last year. That was some bull crap right there
Didn't Melina slip or something.

While it was a missed opportunity for Chris Jericho to win the Royal Rumble, Sheamus is one of my favorites so I'm not really all that upset that he won.
Kane has so many records in Royal Rumble but they want to tarnish that so bad. They gave Roman the most elimination record then also tried to beat the fastest elimination with Titus O'Neal but he botched. Now he's probably gonna lose the highest appearance record someday. It's just sad

I remember the 2015 rumble…the fans completely hijacked everything after Daniel Bryan’s elimination…so good
Cm Punk was supposed to win the royal rumble in 2014
Daniel Bryan was supposed to win the royal rumble I'm 2015
punk was originally supposed to win it because they we're plans about him winning and going to feud with Triple H At Wrestlemania 30 But those plans we're dropped
@@Mr.CapedCrusader facts
@@dripguy5177 because The reason of why CM Punk was going to Feud with Triple H is Because Of their match At Night Of Champions 2011 that was going to be their rematch from night of champions 2011 and wanted to have revenge on him so that’s why
@@Mr.CapedCrusader oh
HHH winning the 2016 Rumble, Orton winning the 2017 Rumble, edge winning the 2021 Rumble, and Lesnar winning the 2022 should be on this list as well.
Mf it said top 10
Edge winning the 2021 rumble wasn't bad
@@thebloodline8683 yeah, it was. He was yet another ruthless aggression era star who won the Rumble. The WWE has this obsession with having ruthless aggression era stars winning their second Rumble. I won't be shocked if they do it again this year and have The Rock win it, or Rey Mysterio, or even The Undertaker. The WWE treats the superstars from the past better than they treat the new guys. They focus so much on the old guys and that's why they can't create stars. All those four years that an old star won the Rumble it could have and should have gone to someone else, they had options it's not like they didn't have options.
I personally didn't mind Reigns winning the '15 Rumble and I didn't mind Daniel Bryan being eliminated, but what pissed me off was he was eliminated too early. Had Reigns & D-Bry were the last two guys standing, I don't think there would be much backlash from the decision. Also, how come no one ever gone after Bray Wyatt for actually eliminating Daniel Bryan?
On purpose
Because Bray was a means to the ends and most fo the fans knew it. Bryan was dumped early in the hopes fans would "get over him" and back Reigns by default. Nobody held anything against Bray because you could visibly see Vince's idiotic vision on display.
Cause bray wyatt comes from the Indies, so the Indy wrestling smarks don't want to betray their Indy guy, so they want to booo a big guy like reigns and he doesn't come from the indies lol
Which 1 did Reigns go in on champion in and he was like 1st? They should have had him win that 1.
Thanks Vince and by the way book for ever 👍👍👍
Yes indeed the worst
Y’all Remember when the Number 27 was the lucky number in the Rumble
