"That's like booing Santa Claus" which lets not forget, Philly has literally also done lol.
Thë Chloë Mason No they didnt, they threw snowballs. The battery incident was Raiders fan throwing batteries at the Chiefs players in the tunnel. Don't you test me on my NFL history knowledge lol.
Thë Chloë Mason oh the Santa Claus incident that was famous in Philly was when the Eagles chucked snowballs at and booed Santa because the Eagles were 2-14 that year in the late 70's.
It was in 1968. The reasoned the booed was that they started out 0-11, and then won 2 meaningless games, and cost them the first pick of the draft, which was O.J Simpson. They went 2-12.
Nick Goode I am well aware of this... Thanks for the exact year though.
Santa Claus isn’t real. Get over it.
I feel like you missed a major point in 2015. Kane and Big Show dominating for so much of it. Just dumping amazing young talent out like they were trash. Bray was the highlight of that rumble. And even he got dumped like nothing.
Definitely remember that and the sour taste it left in my mouth. Whoever booked that should be fired.
TheSilentWolf yea, overall there were only a few good entrants. But to be honest, it felt unfinished and overrated. Like Roman Reigns won AGAIN.
Honestly didnt mind kane and big show doing that. Kane is my favorite wrestler ever though so I may be biased
Seth Benson But we all knew that Big Show and Kane were not going to win at all since they’re obviously old, so when they were throwing out great young talent that should have won, only for them to be with Roman reigns at the end, it was like a big middle finger to the fans. Like once it was Big show, Kane, and Roman Reigns, we obviously knew Roman would win. It was the most predictable shit ever. Hell even people were changing for Rusev to win when he was outside of the ring with Big Show, Kane, and Roman in the ring, because we didn’t want either of those 3 competitors to win, and we knew Roman was the only one of the 3 to win anyways.
@@roodypoochrisw is exactly right! The prior years' Rumbles often ended with two guys who end up getting title shots at WrestleMania to leave fans guessing until the very end. Going into 2015, fans felt Roman or Daniel Bryan would win. When Daniel Bryan was eliminated, that left the guess work out of it.
I always remember 2001 for being known as the Hardcore Rumble when Raven brought a whole heap of weapons to the ring, a pure classic indeed!
And Blackwood going karate ninja on everyone with the Kendo stick
@matt cheers for not Correcting me on my typo, blackwood lol what a dumbass i am 😂 they should Bring Him back as long as hes got the cheese hat on🤪
Steve Blackman going nuts with the kendo stick too!
I miss Steve Blackman...
That same year in September many people in New York died
i forgot @@mariaedmonson8391
kane really should have won a rumble match
I always thought so, but I could never think of a Wrestlemania opponent for him to main event with.
Eh, Undertaker's had too many matches with him and Lesnar's a lazy ring worker. 2000's Lesnar wouldn't work either as the outcome would be so predictable. He's not a very technical wrestler, so a strong story would be needed.
Chris Jericho should have won too
SheetJeans59638 Big Show
Sad but true
For Me 2006 is the greatest ever. It started the “For Eddie” storyline and shows how amazing Rey Mysterio can be. Truly masterful.
Ah yes, the early Eddisploitation era, where we all wish it was the _late_ Eddiesploitation era (i.e. they stopped milking money of a dead guy before it became tasteless).
Yep agreed 2006 was a great rumble. Also Triple h put in a incredible performance.
2008 Royal Rumble was the first PPV and Professional Wrestling event I watched, and it still remains my favorite 👍
I'm actually surprised you didn't mention the hardcore segment of 2001's rumble! That was one of the most iconic moments in rumble history, for me! It's also one of the most memorable parts of 2001 if you ask most people!
To be fair, Philly HAS booed Santa before...
"It's like booing Santa Claus" I mean that's pretty par for the course for Philly.
Wendy's Boyz Well Philly saw through the mirage. The story is the actual Santa walked out, so they promised some drunk guy like 250 dollars to wear the suit and the fans knew instantly that it was a sham.
TheIceman 2220 he wasn't drunk 😂😂 he was with his family and only 20 years old by a few days
There was a time where the Philadelphia Eagles were so bad that they Philly actually booed Santa Clause
The main event of Takeover last night was the best match I've seen since I started watching WWE again in 2015. It was a masterpiece of action and storytelling. Bravo.
'92 is my favorite of all time. Glad to see you see it as high as you did.
So many stories going in it. The feud with Macho Man and Jake The Snake. Rick "The Model" Martell desperately trying to eliminate Flair on his entrance so he wouldn't break his record for lasting the longest. Displayed British Bulldog's Strength. Hell even Virgil seemed relevant as he and Hacksaw eliminated each other. Haha
And of course, The Repo Man. Wrong channel, I know but whatever! 😁🤙
I went to the '92 Rumble when I was 12. It was awesome seeing my favorite wrestler Roddy Piper win his first and only wwf singles title. LOD/Road Warriors vs Natural Disasters. The whole event was great.
@@luchapagliacci8362 I am beyond jealous. Haha
I have seen two Rumbles live now but would trade that in to see that one live. Haha
Piper was red hot that event.
Whoever booked takeover: Philly last night needs a raise and be put in charge of tonight's Royal Rumble.
Christopher Turner that would be triple H who deserves so much more credit than people seem to give him
Well, i can tell you, he wasnt.
H doesn't book.
Christopher Turner b
As THE reigning Mr. Gay Pennsylvania America I am supportive of this
"that's like booing Santa Claus." that's exactly what they have done before, nice.
My favourite is 2004 just because Benoit went the whole way and won. So hard to watch now. The rest of the match was fairly lack lustre, but Benoit getting big show out was story telling perfection back then
Three of the last four years an Evolution member has won the RR - just realised that pointless fact
Ric Flair is gonna win the 2018 rumble lol
CS7 he won the kfc rumble
AuzzieVideoMaker [TEAM 💯] holy fuck
And they all eliminated Roman Reigns.
Dang! Half Life 3. Prototype 3. Left 4 Dead 3. Team Fortress 3. Manhunt 3 confirmed.
Josh Sobremonte THAT WAS F*CKING EXCELLENT
2002 will be the best for me. The emotion of Austin and HHH entering, it was like holy shit!
Undertakers elimination probably the biggest shocker ever too.
The effort that went into this video is well and truly appreciated. Top marks lads
Top marks for the marks.
2010 was my favorite rumble. As a kid watching with my dad, he loved CM Punks rant about “saving the locker room”. I wanted Shawn Micheals to win to face undertaker, and was devastated and reacted the same as he did when he was eliminated (minus super kicking my own dad). Luckily me and my dad both got really excited when Edge returned.
The 2007 final 2 was my favorite ending in royal rumble history
Hey Mr. Perfect may have never won the rumble, but at least Curtis Axel is still in the 2015 Royal Rumble
Spaced Out Gaming oh my god you’re right
Hahahahaahhaha
I want a supercut of every blooper where he says "I'm Adam pacitti from whatculture"
This has been your best week of content so far....keep it up the channel is coming along great!
1990 is still my favorite Rumble, maybe one of my favorite matches. Thank's for putting it so high.
Cultaholic > Whatculture
Oliver Pluta true...very true
No whatculture is best bcoz of Simon miller
Devashish Pandey LMAO
Oh, it’s true. It’s true
Oliver Pluta am I the only one who wishes these guys to reunite again
Great video, a lot of detail on each event. Good work Pacitti
The 92 Rumble is easily the best. IMO
Chris Terry it was not a predictable ending
You're not wrong
Whooooo!
2001. Sorry to disagree, but I was an attitude era kid.
2004 is my favorite Rumble without a doubt.
mine too
R.I.P. Chris Benoit
Chris Benoit
Lakers fan if you are a WWE fan, you have to have watched every Royal Rumble. U failed mate.
I was waiting for this comment 😍
19:00 Bret vs Austin at WM13 wasn't a title match. They both had their shot at In Your House 13: Final Four.
24:10 There was no clear winner between Bret, Undertaker, & Vader since they were all eliminated by Austin after he came back in.
And Austin was eliminated before so eliminating Vader, Undertaker, and Bret Hart doesn’t count !!
@@anshumannbatra8907 Bret Hart eliminated Fake Diesel.
@@jp3813 Oh I’m sorry. I’ll edit it right away !!
jp3813 fake Diesel and Kane are the same person.
@@cyrus2546 So?
2007's always been my favorite. The atmosphere, the finale, the Undertaker. It was just so good. The worst has to be 2015. Not just Reigns' win, but it just lacked any excitement.
Chris Benoit winning from the one spot was my favorite moment in a rumble
I hope you know what he did after that.
1990 was my first ever WWF event ... due to living in the UK and Sky TV only bringing it to our TV sets a little while before. I'd never watched anything so exciting in my life ... and that moment where Hulk and Warrior just stared at each other was MAGIC! That event got my hooked, and have been ever since...
2004 is the best when big show eliminated himself
2004 royal rumble has no winner tho
Jonathan Meyer Who?
Jonathan Meyer pretty sure Big Show eliminated himself therefore having no winner for the match
Actually Big Show went on to win the heavyweight championship at wrestlemania and celebrated with his friend Eddie Guerrero.
The ultimate heel face turn

I think comparing the Rumble to Christmas is quite apt. You have the slowly growing anticipation leading up to it. Then the excitement when it all starts. Then growing resentment and disappointment as you have to deal with all the bullshit near the end. And when it's over you're angry and bitter and wonder why you bothered with it all in the first place.
This is insanely accurate.
So glad you guys did a video on this. The artical that Jack wrote was fantastic.
Lots of effort went in on this video, good stuff! Hoping for more long length videos in the future.
"Before they digivolved"
No mention on Diesel in 2011? i was there that night and oh my god ive never heard that big of a pop EVER.. I still have goosebumps watching it now
christian ouellette that was an awesome surprise appearance! 40 men meant more room for surprise entrants and they used it well.
2005 Rumble is the most iconic, and 2006 ending was the most emotional.
Much respect for making these videos 🙏You know these videos are coming from a proper fan
'92 isn;t at the top of the list? That's not fair to Flair!
This bloke wasn’t even a bean in his dads sack in 92 therefore this list doesn’t count
@@ben01193 He can still watch it lmao
To be fair to Philly, not only have they booed Santa Claus, they've thrown snowballs at him
My top 3
2004-it was the first ppv I ever watched live so it’ll always be my favorite
2008- I was a huge John cena mark when I was 11
2007-cause undertaker is my favorite wrestler of all time
I don’t fucking care
@@thanoswest6754 wow you must do because you commented on a 3 year old post
2007 was my favorite. Seeing a mini match from my 2 favorite wrestlers of all time at the end pushed it over for me.
Loving this one thanks for sharing very important information giving thanks blessed love to all knowledge is power hopefully everyone pays attention keep up the good work 🙏🙏🙏🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲💪💪💪
1992 is the Royal Rumble in which all are compared to. Simply perfect.
2004 is my favourite rumble
Yah it sad big show eliminated himself
THANK YOU for placing Royal Rumble 2007 in the Top Five of your list! That one is my favorite Royal Rumble of all time!
2004 Royal Rumble was the first Royal Rumble I ever watched and I loved it will always have a special place in my heart
You guys should do the top ten storylines.
2001 always has been my all-time Favourite rumble- I'm glad it topped the list.
1992 rumble was my first exposure to wrestling. I was roughly 7 years old, I’m now 31 and although I don’t watch the current product. I still tune in for the rumble. I can owe to that match that I get excited every year it comes about.
1992: Ric Flairs heelish master class. Heenans commentary. And my man crush blossoming for the upstart of the precocious Shawn Michaels, his agility in that match is overlooked. Go back and watch him take 3 consecutive clothesline’s from Bulldog and survive elimination....😲
Been binge watching all your videos. Big fan. New subscriber
Whoever came up with that DevianArt bit deserves a raise @Cultaholic
2005 is criminally low
It was too botchy
@Awais A no its not
Great Royal Rumble ppv
Honestly it's a pretty damn good Rumble cuz it showcases the best of the Ruthless Aggression era. the final four of Rey Edge Cena and Batista were all on the cusp of main event status not to mention the fans being divided between Cena and Batista at the end.
2005 is my fav rumble
You put my favorite Rumble at number one. I absolutely LOVED the 2001 Rumble. It was brutal, it was funny, it was PERFECT.
thanks a lot, I'm French but it's great I really enjoy this, the talker is great! and there are some good explanations on why it is good or not!
This list could definitely use an update after several years of mens and womens Rumbles of varying quality.
I think that, if Royal Rumble 2018 was added to this list, it’d probably be somewhere in the upper middle.
Pretty Pretty Voldie True, like number 8 or 9.
I would put it in the top 10 for sure. It was a very well booked rumble
Which one, the men's or the OG women's rumble?
I was at the 2015 Rumble with some smark friends lol
I think putting it last is pretty justifiable in a booking sense, but in a weird way, there was something really memorable about participating in one of the biggest match shittings of all time.
A lot of work went into this one. Well done chaps.
2001 would have been even better if KANE won.
Chaoxide true
no austin is perfect to win
Ahmed Ullah No, Kane deserved a rumble win and 2001 would have made the most sense. Austin did not need that win at all. Kane should have won it.
@@Ak_741 he has won 3 royal rumble matches
Chaoxide I definitely agree and it was great in general I knew it would be the best
2010 was the first PPV i ever convinced my parents to buy. It was incredible.
The 2010 Rumble will always be my favourite. I was there at Phillips Arena and it was my first ever WWE event in person. I genuinly thought that Shawn Micheals elimation was an accident. And when Edge returned, I wasnt expecting it, I lost my damn mind
this was better than his wrestlemania count down lol. my favorite 2 royal rumbles was the top 2. 1992, and 2001. great video.
I love 2001, but 1992 is a mythical match of greatness.
Put some respect on 2006's name.
That wasn't that good rumble....
Yeah had no idea what he meant by “not a whole lot was memorable” when a whole lot of stuff happened in it
So so happy 2001was the number1! I downloaded off limewire and watched it far too many times as a kid. Absolutely loved it for all the reasons you said, it just had everything you'd want from a rumble.
Oh snap...Limewire...the way we made many cds of whatever music we wanted back then....
The '92 Rumble was the only big WWF event I ever attended live, since it was only a few hours down the road. Man, did I pick the right one!
Remember when WWE for the first time gave 4 awesome rumbles back to back
2007-2010
Wrestling Roots I don’t know I liked 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 quite a lot. So probably not the first time. Then again again WWE was WWF for half of those lol
Favorite 4 in a row were 2005 to 2008. :D
I think we got 5 awesome rumble matches in a row from 2000 to 2004. Alot of people hate on 2000 but I thought it was actually pretty good and 2002 is my favorite rumble match of all time
Kane should have won 2001
On one hand I kinda agree with you, but on the other hand it would not make any sense as at the time Kane wasn't really involved in any main event storylines. The 2001 Rumble wasn't about giving a random person a chance at the title as much as it was about the eventual purchase of Dubseedubya and the story telling of Austin doing "whatever it takes" to become the WWF champion again giving us a heel turn that makes Hogan's look like MST3K.
@@sunnyreddy8605 Why not save that for No Way Out 2001?
Kane could have won in 01, then fought Austin for the #1 contender spot at No Way Out.
Austin fought Triple HHH at the event, in the 3 Stages of Hell match. Kane tagged with Taker in a losing effort in a triple threat tables match.
I think Kane vs Austin would have been better.
@negro bsr I think I was just tired of triple h at that point. I don't know, it's been 20 years ago. I just tried to have Kane win the Rumble and Austin still in the main event at X7. 🤷
15:13....even Santa's like, "you're kind of burying me, kid"
92 royal rumble was it for me. I had that on VHS when I was kid and watched it until the tape wore out. I think it's still laying around somewhere. Bobby Henans commentary was amazing. He and gorilla made it all the better. Those two will be greatly missed.
Gobbledygooker to win the rumble this year
i liked the 2002 royal rumble most, it was absolutely perfect in terms of action, story, returns, and most of all the beginning of a new era
Rock and Austin fought for the IC titles in a PPV a couple of months before the '98 rumble, I think it was at DX IYH. It's the one Austin drove his truck to the ring, and stunned Dlo on the top of it.
Dear Adam Pacitti... I highly admire you for the creativity you showed while trying to find a job, and for the very brave and gutsy way you tried to find your "DREAMGIRL". This is no sarcasm whatsoever... Just wanted to say i really admire you...never stop being the way you seem to be
I'm glad the 2010 rumble was high on the list, personally it is my favorite and I also enjoyed the 2009 rumble
I really love the top 3, but 2010 is definitely my favorite one ever.
Dude! Your videos are awesome ✌😁
2004 also had the awesome Foley vs Orton moment, Undertaker's gong and Lesnar screwing Goldberg. It's amazing and the third best behind 1992 and 2001 which I'm so glad you put at number one.
Poor Sam...Had to edit 30 minutes of Pacitti talking
98 - The first showdown of Austin and The Rock? They had a singles match on PPV a month before!
I think we need a ranking of all the starting match-ups from all the Rumble matches. Worst to Best Number 1 and 2 entrants!
Great video, Adam
The best Rumble's were 1997, 1998, and 2001.
And that's the bottom line, because Stone Cold said so!!!
Well Philadelphia is notorious for booing Santa, bad analogy xD
The 1992 Royal Rumble was the first PPV I ever watched live (I was 12 years old). I just assumed all PPV's would be that much fun to watch live. Without Gorilla Monsoon and especially Bobby Heenan, I don't know if it would even be a top 10 Rumble.
That was one of the most brilliant opening minutes ever.
Personally, I liked the 1999 royal rumble. It's very unique compared to all the other royal rumbles. With the rise of the attitude era during that time, it seemed like actions outside the ring were perfect timing for the attitude era. Obviously, none of us, for sure, wants every royal rumble like this, but it's like a once-in-a-lifetime scenario. With Vince also winning the Royal Rumble is what also makes it unique-- for the first time, a non-wrestler wins. Even though it was a disappointing one, it was something never done just like a wrestler (Steve Austin) still being legally in the match returning from the hospital.
I think the 2012 Rumble is way under-appreciated. The early comedy bits with Foley, Santino and Ricardo were all great, and the commentators entering was supremely entertaining, plus the ending "match within a match" between Sheamus and Jericho is second only to Undertaker and Shawn Michaels in 2007. I think if Jericho had won that match, everyone would consider it a top ten Rumble, maybe even top five. I also think the 2005 Rumble isn't getting enough love. The Raw vs Smackdown showdown was electric, and the Hussan elimination right after is extremely satisfying. Plus it has the best elimination ever with Snitsky sending Paul London to the shadow realm. The only blemish is that Tazz's pro-Smackdown commentary is a tad aggressive at times.
Also, I find it ironic that this video was made right before the 2018 Royal Rumble, because I think the 2018 Mens Royal Rumble is the best Rumble match ever.
Same! I was actually at the 2018 royal rumble so I might be biased but I also think it's the best rumble ever.
"WITH A TEAR IN MY EYE"
"woooOOOO"
1992 is by far the greatest Royal Rumble Ive ever seen. I had a Royal Rumble dvd with that match on it and, like the great JR would say, BAH GAWD was it amazing.
Loved this video
My top 5
5: 2011
4: 2014
3: 2009
2: 2005
1: 1999
I knew 2001 rumble was number 1 Kane set a record that should of never been broken and the funniest but painful part was Al Snow with the bowling ball
"Hunter Hurse Helmsley and Ringmaster square off before they Digi-volved" .... love that one
1990 was my first Royal Rumble. Nice to see it high on this list.
While I do admit that 2001 was indeed an awesome Royal Rumble, I disagree about it being better than 92's RR, more to less, the best one. That year's Royal Rumble and especially Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon's classic commentary during it will never be topped, in my opinion.
please don't let this years Rumble be about Roman again.
@8:58 before they digivolved into stone cold and hhh lmao perfect
Great to see my favorite (2008) make the top 3
