This Marvel Legends wave was irresistible both because of the classic goodness of Frog-Man and Stilt-Man, and how damn good the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse Peter B. Parker, Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, and Prowler looked. Heck, even Spider-Ham looks nice. And then there's even the Hand Ninja, cooler than it has any right to be.

I've said this on a number of reviews, but Prowler needed open clawed hands, it'd make the figure look so much more dynamic.
Yeah, that would have added some oomph.
That was a deal breaker for me ngl
His lacking those hands is what made me pass on him, I could have ignored the lack of unmasked head, but without even claw hands, it just didn't feel right.

I just got Frogman today and man do I love this figure . I'm not really a collector but there was something about this figure that spoke to me.

No matter how many times it's repeated in videos, I always love the 'bright white' Crash Test Dummies sound-cue. Like, that's exactly how my brain works, certain words and key-phrases just trigger music using those words/key-phrases in my brain.
When I was at the metal shop it was a game we'd play to break up the monotony of bending parts all day or meetings. Normal conversation and then boom, song lyric. "Halfway there" was another popular one, and one I actually cut out of the last Weekly because I went on way...too...long with it and annoyed myself, haha.
Man the second you take that Peter B Parker out of the blister I make my preorder. He looks straight out of the movie.

The Miles is definitely the best figure out of the wave. The details and sculpting really shows the exaggerated swagger of a young black teen.

The Hand Ninja "belt and scabbard" accessory would fit great with the ML Shang-Chi to further a G.I. Joe Quick Kick kitbash!
It’s a shame Hasbro can’t use ml parts for Joe lines :(. This would be a great base for a classic Stormshadow as well. (In case anyone asks, it’s contractual and an industry sculptor is my source)
The mark on Mile’s forehead seems to be present on all the pieces I’ve seen in the stores. I don’t remember him having a scar on his head on the movie though...

The reason the elbow bend is so comparatively limited while the rest of the body seems rather modernly-engineered and designed is because for some odd reason, they reused the arms from the Doctor Strange movie Mordo figure. Everything else on the figure is new sculpt as far as I can tell, it's just the arms that are reused.
The half masked Peter B. Parker head always makes me think of Bruce Campbell

Haha, as fun as it is to crack open 7 figures at a time it can be a grind to run through them all and then edits, so I'm glad they don't come out every other week (yet). Still love doing them all at once though.

I can except that prowler is bigger than he is supposed to be from the movie but I don’t understand why they gave him up and down hinge gripping hands. 🤨 He’s always clawing in the moving, I don’t even think he holds anything except when he’s on his motorcycle for like 2 minutes

That Venom wave seem to come and go really fast, maybe this one will be different.

That Gwen head looks really good, but man, they need to improve that body. I'm really hoping the new pinless system means we get a Spider-Gwen who can actually like... Do Spider poses. That torso needs an upgrade to like at least the level of Hasbro's Power Rangers

Someone might have mentioned this already but in case they haven't, I'm pretty sure the cape on Prowler along with his head and Gwen's masked head/hoodie piece are actually reuse (or minor remolding/resizing) from the basic ITSV toyline from way back when. I'm not sure about Miles' masked head as I don't have that one, but it might be as well.

It seems their full dedicated waves don't do as well for them since they focus on just one thing. A wave like this caters to movie and comic fans. I figure we'll see Noir and Penni in another wave and they will sell because "Well, I got the rest of the main cast in the other wave, might as well finish." And then making an accurate SP//dr as the BaF will sell the rest, or the comic fans will buy the rest of the wave. Marketing.

Great review Robo! As much as I liked Into the Spiderverse I wasn't really dying for figures of it, lol. As long as they round out the group though it could make for an interesting shelf. Frog-Man is definitely the surprise for this wave. Also, am I the only one the hates the animated/modern version of Spider-Ham? Give me the old classic Star Comics version any day, lol!

For the Gwen I heated up the hooded head and I was able to pull it out and have the head without the hood. I can put it back in but tbh without the hood looks better

I have no issue with the whole “Hey I am Spider-Man now” worried face. Because is catches how worried he was becoming SM perfectly and if you want the “I am Spider-Man” I would think the alternate head is what that is for. Great Job as usual. FYI since I binge watched a metric shit ton of your videos. The gun was from the spymaster and crossbones from the Black Widow/Crymson Dynamo wave.

What is the material that you use for the blue Fwoosh backdrop? Is it poster board or something else? I'd like to get something to use for figure pics. It doesn't look like any kind of poster. Looks to thick and more flexible.
