I had a few mishaps while recording this review over several days, from not hitting record to the microphone coming unplugged for the last half of the wave. But the Hasbro Marvel Legends What If...? Watcher wave is a fun set of action figures so I didn't mind going back and reshooting some of them. Well, okay, there was some initial cursing, but you know me. Any excuse to play some more.

As much as I like zombie Cap and the Strange head sculpt, Ultron/ Vision should look amazing if they make another wave!
w2 needs to have One Who Remains/Kang. but yeah, Infinity Ultron needs to be the BAF. or Frost Loki.
Party Thor, skinny!Steve, Pym-YJ, Yondu, (Sakaar?) Battle Gamora, and debating on Sakaar!Tony or leave it open for now for someone else we'll see tomorrow or in next week's finale.
I want ultron with the gauntlet but not build a figure. With this 1st wave I only got 4, 3 just came today from gamestop some of these figures are just not that good. .

@@cflchurch2526 Infinity Ultron doesn't HAVE a Gauntlet, he IS the Gauntlet.
Mind on Vision's head, rest are attached to his chest.
Im pretty sure the Spidey body paint is based on the Disney World/Land costumes, since its sony who owns him, so in What If they had to go with that Disney park costume, but im not 100%

But they have released Spider Man Homecoming and Far From Home figures for years not to mention the new movie figures that will be released soon.
@@ComicCrossing The actual What If episode uses the Disney Parks design. It's speculated that this Marvel Studios project didn't want to bother with any legal grey area with designs featured in Sony's movies.
I know they don’t want spoilers and everything, but I feel like there could have been an Ultron in there, or someone in that episode.
The blade on Sylvie's sword just looks phenomenal
That spidey suit is based on the suit at Avengers Campus in Disneyland since they technically don’t have the full rights to the regular MCU suit

Zombie hunter spider-man needed something more I'm not just sure what. Like he looks like the episode but maybe some rips in the costume more blood since he has been surviving in the apocalypse. Maybe besides the cape he should have had one more item from another fallen hero.

Has anyone tried pulling the zombie cap torso apart from the hip? I wonder if they made it possible… You know, for episode accuracy?

Still find it weird that zombie cap doesn’t have a BaF part bust Sylvie does. I know it’s because cap is double packed but…
If you only want the animated stuff you end up with a random Sylvie. If you don’t want the animated stuff but you want the live action MCU you end up with a random bit of watcher.
It has been a good year for Marvel content. There is still more to come.
My top 4 is Dark Stephen, Captain Peggy, T'challa Starlord and zombie Cap but they all look really cool

the hands for T'chala are probably the ones from the GOTG 2 star lord, they probably reused them so they could hold the element guns
The Doctor Strange hand with the spell effect piece is the same as from the movie Strange that comes in the Strange/Thanos/Iron Man 3-pack. One I wish came with a different arm that doesn't have effects on it.

T'Challa's hands look like they are similar, if not the same hands as Star Lord. Your side by side comparison with the blasters pretty much confirmed it too

That spell-casting hand is complete reuse from the Infinity War 3-pack with Iron Man, Dr. Strange, and Thanos
Cool. I never got that so it was a mystery to me.
Man I sure am glad all the online retailers (including Hasbro Pulse, you know, the manufacturer) say this wave’s not supposed to ship until February even though they’re hitting retail now I guess and are all over eBay. Good job, go team.

@@oreomega2545 that’s good, because releasing these figures like 5 months after their corresponding show ends seems dumb. That said, I wish the manufacturer got them before everyone else, since they’re the manufacturer.

Double agree on Pulse being the last to get their figures in, it's really annoying. I'll never complain about waiting for BBTS to get inventory in ever again haha
There's so many more What If characters left on the table, they could make an entire second wave at least.
If you don't want to do your own repaint, that Zombie Cap shield could work for a John Walker shield....

Captain Carter is so good that just like miles morales and spider-gwen, i hope that she gets introduce to main 616 comic universe.

Regarding the Spidey costume, I've heard that Disney doesn't have rights to the MCU Spidey costume outside of the films, which is why his outfit in the episode and on the figure (AND matches the one from Avengers Campus at Disneyland) is different.

This is definitely a 'pick and choose' wave for me, but I think we can all agree that Captain Carter is a great design, well executed. I gotta have it. Same with Zombie Cap.

That's what I've been hearing. I actually saw Sylvie at two different Walmarts locally last week but my area isn't like most.
Now I want Party Thor, Mad Titan Gamora, and Vision Ultron in Marvel Legends.
Infinity Ultron better be the w2 BAF.

I was hoping for some surprises for these figures as in accessories. Dr strange needed some clip on stuff and while I wanted a Slyvie, she should’ve been a release before. They could’ve thrown in another what if character. But I’m still excited to get these.

I'm usually not one for asymmetrical designs, but Zombie Captain America is designed very well.
I had the same problem with Captain Carter’s feet. I ended up turning the pegs in the ankles 180 degrees in order to get her to stand up. I think the factory just put them in backwards.
All winners in my book, great sculpts and character selection. can't wait for more!!!

Got zombie cap yesterday and i couldnt put it down. Amazing figure.Hope we get more undead figures to complete the team.
Spider-Man from Into the Siderverse said "No cape." This figure goes against everything he believes in!!
I'm still gonna buy it, though.
I hope we get an Uatu vs Ultron from the “What if” series. The hawkeye and the shield wielding widow looks great as well.

Butterfly joints should come standard for all ML Spidermans. He's the poster child for figure articulation.
They need to make more Zombie ones and maybe the BAF could be the ultron vision.

A small but welcomed update, IMHO, is the Spider-Man “thwip” hands. Compared to earlier sculpts where the point and pinky fingers are straight, this time it has a natural curl to the hand pose; which is anatomically correct. Try it. Someone at Marvel Legends is paying attention.

@@davidburns7506 Oh no doubt we'll get those live action characters, I just wanted to make a wishlist that was specifically What If focused. I'd personally prefer the Live Action guys in a completely separate wave with characters like Agatha, the Hawkeyes, and Val

I hope they make a lot of the zombie heroes. I think it would make for a fun display. Get some broke building diorama and choose your favorite heroes to survive while a horde of zombie heroes is outside trying to brake in.
Looking forward to see if they do a wave 2 for the What if line. I think either a build a figure or a larger figure like the hydra stomper would be great for those mech bots they had in the iron-man episode a nice army builder.
Wave 2 of this would be great, but what if.... they do a comic line based on What If? So many looks!

We need a what if Ultron. Ultron took the thunder of that show for me. He was so awesome. Out of the available figures, I like zombie captain America best. It just really looks good in my opinion

You are not the only one who has had watcher arm problems. I am not a fan of this wave and the Watcher being a statue lead to me cancelling most of this pre-order. I am keeping zombie cap and Captain Carter plus the Hydra Stomper but the rest are a pass. I just don't see what I would do with the other animated characters. Great job as usual.

Robo, did you see the big Spider-Man: No Way Home action figure set at Target? This set has a mix of Hasbro's Spider-Man: Homecoming, No Way Home, and a Doctor Stranger figure.
There’s also the Hydra Stomper ( from the Captain Carter episode)

I know it's not going to happen, but I would love every figure in this wave to be re-released as part of a comic wave, with a repaint to match. These are cool characters, I'm just not that invested in the animated figures, it would be awesome to have a Captain Carter, Star Lord T'Challa etc with the right shelf. (Yes Zombie Cap is absolutely going to get a repaint, that is pretty certain) but there is no rules that the shelf has to be 100% accurate, there are 6 characters on here, 5 of which could fit on a shelf (A spiderman without a butterfly joint belongs on no shelf, ever)
Looks like the T'Challa Starlord hands are reuse from the regular Starlord figure. You have a shot in the video showing that the guns are the same and it shows the hands are the same as well!
Out of the set, I only pre-ordered Sylvie, Spider-Man and Captain Carter. I can't wait for them to arrive, which AMZ still says Feb so... Ugh. lol
Immediately checks out my Captain Carter and yes, the flag is COMPLETE. I think i would've overlooked such if it was not completely painted.
