My friend in 8th grade had such pale skin that on picture day, when the camera flashed, all that showed up in the yearbook photo were four black dots on a white background; two where his eyes were and two where his nostrils were.

His hair was a blondish-red, so it didn't really show up much either. I guess you could kind of see a shine where his hair was? But his eyebrows were absolutely NOWHERE to be seen... I would post a picture, but I wouldn't want to further his pasts embarrassments! People teased him and said his face looked like raisins

I feel the same way. The only reason I keep subscribed to her it's because she's such an inspiring person. Her Barbie makeup tutorial was the first ever makeup tutorial I ever saw and it was like 7 years ago. I really appreciate Michelle and I admire her for everything she has accomplished, but the videos she has uploaded in the last year are nothing compared to what she used to do. Maybe it's because she has not enough time anymore and she sees youtube now as an obligation more in the checklist instead of seeing it as something she's passionate about. I really don't know. I just hope she will announce when she retires from youtube instead of just stoping doing videos, I don't consider myself a pesimist but I think that's a very strong posibility.

At my school, the people who take our pictures are really mean. They spend 5 minutes correcting us. They always tell us to adjust our hair a certain way, which is horrible, because most of us want it to look that certain way. Then, they tell us to stand like freaking mannequins. It is so unnatural, and that's why all of us have bad pictures. We are all thinking, 'when is this gonna be over?'. They don't even say anything nice to us, or correct us in a nice way. It sucks, and my picture day is Tuesday.....ugh.
I actually wish the photographers at my school would do that rather than just letting us look how I did in my previous school photos

LeeLeah Leah Who cares what the dumb kids in your school think about you? If you have true friends that know the real you, than they won't judge you or think you're self-centered bc you don't want to look like a greasy mess or have lipstick on your teeth for your picture. You will have your school picture to look back on for the rest of your life, and it would be a shame if you hated it or didn't look your best bc you were worried about some jealous girls talking crap about you. And speaking from experience.. thats all behavior like that is: JEALOUSY. If you haven't already, you will learn that girls can be vicious, and will sometimes do anything they can to bring you down, so they can feel above you. I know its hard when you're young and being made fun of is the worst thing in the world, but if you take a step back and think about it logically, changing your behavior and doing whatever you think will help you "fit in" for the moment, will cause you lose in the long run. You will always be a slave to what others think, and thats no way to live your life. Don't give stupid a-holes like that power over you. Remember: Bullies are weak individuals, and usually very insecure, and thats the only reason that they act the way they do. So, if you need to powder your nose before your next picture, just do it! Be secure enough with yourself to know that wanting to look nice for something important like that, doesn't make you a bad person. Besides, you'll have the last laugh when you look nice in the yearbook and everyone else looks like greased-pigs. ;) Take care! xx

I don't act lady like, they see me as a tomboy. I wear eyeliner and a light lipstick, they find it um, inappropriate? "Maarte," (they don't say these to my face though)
I wore a bit of make up and brush my hair, wear comfortable but looks good on me clothes, and I still received an innocent comment, "You don't care how you look do you?" I wish they phrased it as "You don't care what people think, do you?" cuz at least it had a smidgen of truth.

Whenever I wear lipgloss or fix my hair people think that I'm a brat. :/ they say that I am too self centered even though the only days I wear lipgloss and fix my hair are picture day and events.
Ugh ! I hate it when that happens! I'm like do you even know me? ( ps you only dress it up cuz you wanna just dress it up a little to look a little more presentable right? It also means that you're already really pretty since makeup makes you so pretty already😊)
I rarely wear makeup so whenever I put on eyeliner or lipstick (when I have time in the morning) people always, without fail, tell me how pretty I look. Like, thanks but I don't think I need makeup to look pretty, you made it less likely that I'll do this again
haha, I spend 2 hours getting ready in the morning, always wear a full face of makeup, always fix my hair, and I dress up randomly for no reason at all and I've been dubbed "preppy" instead of "brat". (Or so I've heard) 😂 maybe it depends on the area you live in, or the grade you're in. :)

I remember during picture day my guy classmates would always run to the bathroom, they'd always wet their hair and slick it back while us girls would help each other out with our uniforms, our hair and our face to make sure it'll look decent in the picture xD I hope this behavior doesn't change when we enter seventh grade

I'm not either, I live in Australia and my school rules is no make-up, no nail polish and a uniform every day.
Me too..no make up, no nail polish, no long nail, no jewelry, uniform..

If you use a creme based product for contour, you should apply it before the powder. The contouring will go on better and the powder will set the contouring as well as foundation and concealer.

if you put on cream blush before powder, there wouldn't be a purpose in using a cream blush (which has a dewy finish). you'd be better off using a powder blush or cheek stain if you don't want a dewy finish
