Great video. Convinced me to pick this little guy up. For anyone who gets this display and has trouble getting the touch functionality to work properly in Windows 10 - you will need to calibrate the screen first. System search for "Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input" then use the configure-> set up option. Then just follow the on screen prompts. Cheers!
Great! Yeah, I forgot to mention it, but the touch control have to be adjusted first to make sure it doesn't control another monitor haha

Under "Configure" select Setup and follow the prompt to select your touch display.
Then in Display Options, select the Display (for me, this display was labeled LEN L1950wD) and choose "Calibrate" and follow the prompts.
That should do it 👍

Most definitely going to buy this as a third monitor so I can have a CZcams video playing on it. I usually like to have something like a stream playing in the background while I play, but I also enjoy having my second monitor for Discord chats.
A tiny little third monitor hanging right below my secondary will be a lifesaver.
I've also been wanting a drawing pad for my side for a while now cause damn am I shaky with a mouse lol, I feel like I have parkinsons everytime I do almost anything in Photoshop.
This will help so damn much with creating maps and art for my D:OS2 Game master campaigns, and if this thing can double as it it's a definite buy.

I just using a 800×480 Raspberry Pi LCD as a second monitor. All online informations about it sells for the Pi only, but it works "plug-and-play" with Windows as well. The resolution is small, but it's enough for second monitor, when, for example, put a CZcams video on it while a game runs on the main display. A USB cable for power and touch plus an HDMI cable for the image, that's it ‒ even no menu, no buttons, nothing. 😊

I realize this is a old video but I bought a touch screen(not this one) but it's only touch input for main display. I need one that when set as the secondary monitor the touch affect secondary input not main display, my use is for a driving simulator dash, sorta to be like a second screen to view a stream Chat or perhaps Spotify while jot getting up to go back to the desk

I found one of these on ebay for £20. I wanted to use it for CZcams/Twitch and gaming like while I am on my bed or travelling or as a secondary monitor maybe for PC temps. Is it okay to play some light games on it? Nothing too intense. Thinking of hooking it up to a controller for tablets.

Hello! Love the video! I became very interested in this waveshare screen that I bought it so I can hook it up to my PC and use it as a second screen for streaming and what not. I was wondering if anyone has encountered the problem I've encountered. Upon connecting it, (USB to DC and then Touch and then connecting HDMI to monitor) It won't turn on. I am using windows 10. I have reset my pc and I've tried other USB plugs. It won't turn on and I check the display settings to detect device but it doesn't detect it. It only detects it in the Devices section but that's it.
I have contacted the company via email but I don't know what to do from here Other then wait and see if anyone else has had the same issue and may have a solution. Thank you!

When I go into pc tablet settings and try to calibrate the touch screen its greyed out for me, would you know whats the problem?

Yep! It works with Windows 10, either as a touch pad or like a phone's touch screen.

Great video! If I was gaming in full screen on my main monitor could I touch this monitor and do things on without exiting the full screen game? I want to have spotify running on the mini touch screen so I can change songs in the middle of a game without having to alt-tab out. Does anyone know if this is possible? Thank you!
I use CZcams Music while playing Fortnite and it works fine with a mouse, however, I didn't try it with touch controls :/

Honestly? I just need a small third screen... or a "tiny screen" if you will.. JUST so I can be constantly monitoring my rigs diagnostics. Things like heat, power, processing, etc... and this is perfect!!! if only I can mount it to a screen arm... I'll figure that out though

Hey, i have been checking out this monitor but it comes with only 30 days warranty, seeing your video is now 4 months old is the screen still working as intended? Would you still recommend this screen?
I still use it almost daily and it works great. I would still recommend it.
It is pretty small tho, so it's great to have a video playing while I work or maybe a console log, but I consider upgrading to a 10-13" 1080p or 1440p monitor for better screen real estate and screen space without the bulk of a normal sized 2nd monitor 🤔
@@minimalistik hey ye i was also thinking about the size i have decided to order the T116D from Magedok off of amazon its still only 11.6 inches but it is FHD with an IPS screen its still like double the price of 7inch waveshare but it also comes with 18months warranty and i should be able to run it off just a usb c to usb c cable for touch/power/video thank for your reply :)

Why wouldn't it? You obviously won't get the touch screen capabilities, but other than that it's just a regular monitor with an HDMI input.
Not sure how soon you can reply to this if you even can, but i have purchased this little thing and its just not connecting. I have both the USB and HDMI plugged in and yet its just not showing up. Nothing seems wrong and there isn't a ton of videos on this and am really just looking for some help.
That's weird, does it power on at least? with the OSD saying there's no signal? Otherwise, I'd try different USB power sources, in the Touch USB input. If not, then I guess the unit's dead 🤔
Thanks so much for responding so quick! Really a good quality for a good youtuber. But anyways yes it is getting power and the screen is clearly lit up yet with just no picture on the screen. I have it plugged into the wall with a long cable instead straight into the pc, could that be the problem? It's just because i have no more usb ports left on my pc

Sounds like you're paying significantly extra for the small size, because the quality of this thing is much lower than full sized monitors that are cheaper.

its a shame that the view angle is so poor on these, i have one from when i was in computer science classes in college. but that is the nature of resistive touch screens. I've struggled to find a capacitive touch screen thats around this size and im becoming convinced the only way ill be able to do that is to jury rig a replacement tablet screen.
Isn't this a capacitive touchscreen? At least the current ones from WaveShare are.
This version has an IPS screen and a capacitive touch screen though. So viewing angles are good and touch is better.

If you give it power and an HDMI signal, it would work. I doubt the touch screen would work though.
