After 15 days of requesting the VTU transcript, you should follow up with VTU, requesting courier tracking ID to check if your transcript reached WES.
Save 1k+ INR: Send Degree certificate copy to WES through registered post. It costs around 100 Rs.
Take this as a tip from my end!
VTU transcript will take 20days at least to reach WES. Registered post also would take 20days. So, by that time transcripts reaches WES, registered post will also reach! Courier will cost approximately 1500 Rs. It's a pretty good saving for a student!

Firstly kudos to you for making the process crystal clear. My head was wobbling a lot reading different views and opinions about the VTU Official transcript process from different sites.
Also from your video it gives me an impression that this process can be done remotely without even visiting the Regional office in Bengaluru.
1. Firstly - The colour copy of certificate we need to sent to WES directly with the WES ref no clearly mentioned.
2. Secondly - We need to send the WES form, VTU Transcript application form, Payments Receipt(1500 +200 and certificate copy) to the Univ.
If this is all to be done then your video is the Best :)

but I did follow your helpful video and applied for WES transcripts from OU online. I paid INR 3200/- online as well. However it shows payment pending. It asked for transaction reference number updation, which was done as well. However of no help.. none of the numbers are working, and they expect us to come to hyd and speak in the commerce department.. I am in Gurgaon and cannot travel amidst pandemic - is their a number you know who could help my case..

It took around a month for transcript to reach WES from VTU. WES displays the status of documents.if it's received, it displays the date when transcript was received.

Please suggest me what I can do now . Today Wes updated the status require marksheet which is already sent by University. Many times I called to WES contact &contact with help line .but any response.
My university has sent documents by courier which have transcript of Degree ,marksheet details & accedmic record. But again wes require mark sheet.

Please check with your university for the tracking number of courier sent to WES and check online if it has reached WES or not.

Swathi I’m currently in US. Can I send scanned documents to VTU for requesting transcripts? Also should we ask VTU to send our degree certificate. Should it be original? Can we send degree certificates directly to Wes?
I am not sure if VTU accepts scanned copies. Please call VTU and confirm. Contact details are in description box. As per my knowledge, please send a courier to VTU with application forms filled requesting transcript to be sent to WES. Students have to send degree certificate xerox copy by themselves directly to WES (attestation is not required).

Hi Swati, in the application form for transcripts, they have mentioned not to send any document except for payment receipt. what to do in that case?
Yes. For transcript, no more documents is required. But if you are requesting transcript for wes, please send copy of degree certificate+ filled wes document request form+transcript application form+payment receipt. Hope this clarifies your doubt.

I am not sure if degree certificate copy would be sent by university. So, it's better to be sent by students.

As we are not sure if vtu will send degree copy or not. I would suggest you do both to ensure documents have reached on time. If no urgency, then try with vtu first, if Wes reports it's still expecting degree certificate, then we know for sure vtu is not sending it and you send it. Please let us also know in this forum.

It is fairly easy process to get transcript. I don't know the cost for your university. Please check with your respective University on cost.

If you are VTU student, it's different. For autonomous colleges, it could be the same as you mentioned.
The certificates which i have to send to WES is the Marks card of the degree only, right? Do i need to include any other certificates also with it?
Its the degree certificate ..you receive it on completion of your degree from your university.
Swathi so is it different than the marks card of three years which we receive after every completion of year, or are you speaking about the convocation certificate?

I have sent my documents to WES in July and my university has given documents in two different envelope as there were two departments for transcript and degree verification.So today my status got updated that they haven't received degree certificate which made me confused that should I go to university and fill the form for degree verification and do the whole process again else I can take print out of my degree and directly courier to WES.
Do the later..you sending degree document should be enough

Hi Swathi, thanks for the information. Did WES accept the transcripts sent by VTU this way? I had earlier requested VTU to send transcripts directly to WES by providing the signed application form, WES academic record request form, WES address, SBI Collect payment receipt. WES did update that they received the documents but later updated the status as "not accepted" giving the reason as transcripts not being sent *directly* by university.
Hi, just drop a mail to me I will help you with the process.
Mine was accepted and Wes released my evaluation report as well. Please call Wes customer service(+1 800-361-6106) and check with them on specific reason.
I called them and got this resolved. WES asked me to provide tracking number for India Post and on providing the same they were able to verify the authenticity of transcripts. Within a week the status changed from "Not accepted" to "Evaluation Complete" for VTU.

For Calicut University students
1. Copy of dcml ( detailed consolidated marklist)
2. Copy of degree certificate
3. Application for official transcript
4 wes academic record request form
5. Chellaan ( 2205+1655+445+1392)
Send these to Examination controller
Add extra copies of certificates and ₹50 for personal copy.

Please note that, I didn't do payment all by myself. So, I can't comment on it. But out of common sense, I can say that, you would have a field to pay for transcript, mention 500rs there. If courier field doesn't exist, fill 1500rs in others. Total would be 2000rs.
Yes. VTU does provide tracking number. After sending courier to VTU, wait for 15 days and call them for getting your WES related tracking number. Hope this helps.

So far i understand is 1. Degree certificare 2. Consolodated memo which include 4 yeard marks in detail.
My question should we also ask university for semister wise transpripts, this also be required by WES? OR just degree & consolidated memo will do.

Just transcript. You must have already collected degree certificate na. You can send a copy of degree certificate directly to WES.

WES states - its highly encourage to send by institute but not mandatory. PFB from WES website
After you have chosen your evaluation report and selected your delivery options, you will see a list of the required documents that you will need to send WES. Either you can send your academic documents to WES, being sure to carefully follow our sealed envelope guidelines, or you can have your educational institution(s) send your official academic records to WES. We highly encourage you to have your institution(s) send your official documents to us directly, so that your documents arrive in the appropriate sealed envelope.
They must not have updated the instructions on that page yet. In the 'India FAQ' page of the WES website, there's an FAQ about this exact issue, and the answer given below is that the marksheets will be accepted only if sent from the university itself.

Yes Jeeva. You can send the photocopy of degree certificate to Wes by yourself. Follow the Wes instructions and adreess provided while you register and make payment. Remember to mention Wes reference number on envelope and on the photocopy. And send it through post office registered post by making payment of 100rs. It will take 20days to reach. If you are short of time go for courier service which will be close to 1k cost.

-Whether I should create two separate accounts in my name for both this purpose?
-Can I create an application online for both these purpose on the same day?

-Also my name is Joseph J George in my educational documents. Whereas in passport it is, Joseph John George. Just there is a change in both these due to the expansion of letter J. So my question is that, will I have to keep some added additional proofs in the sealed envelop to make sure that both these names are just me itself? Will both of these be considered as different names when I get the final ECA report?

You can try through same account or different account. Doesn't matter.
You can create on the same day and request documents to be sent by your university on the same day. It's your personal choice.
Name would be mentioned as per your educational documents in ECA. Most of the Indians have initials in marks card and expansion in the passport. If you are applying for university, few university would request your college to provide name certificate stating the name in the marks card and passport belong to same person/you. If you are applying for PR, please enquire your consultant/consultancy. There would be some workaround for it.

On December 1, 2018, WES modified the document requirements for applicants educated in India. We require all documents to be mailed directly to WES by the institution that issues them. This means that WES will not accept documents sent by colleges (except autonomous colleges), applicants themselves, third party agents, or anyone else.
Why is this change happening?
Due to this increased incidence of fraudulent documents, WES has decided to only accept documents in sealed envelopes that are mailed directly by the institutions themselves.
Who is affected by this change?
This change applies to all WES applications for evaluation of Indian credentials submitted on or after December 1, 2018. If your WES reference number was issued on or after December 1, 2018, the new policy applies to you, whether you are applying for an upgrade or a new order. If your WES reference number was issued before December 1, 2018, the new policy does not apply.
What should you tell your institution?
Please request your institution to mail your attested documents directly to WES in a sealed envelope with institution stamps/seals on the back flap. The institution must mail the sealed envelope themselves. They should not give the sealed envelope to you or a third party to mail to WES.
What happens if WES receives mark sheets sent by me, or a third party?
The documents will not be accepted and your file will be placed on hold until WES receives the attested mark sheets directly from your institution. WES only accepts documents in sealed envelopes that are mailed directly by the institutions themselves.

1. Bachelors Degree :
I have done 3 years B.com from 2 universities. 1st year was from Chhattisgarh university and 2nd & 3rd year from Pune university. In the end of my degree, I received the B.com degree certification from Pune university ( That was for 2nd and 3rd year only, as pune university takes into account only 2 years for calculation of marks. For them it does not matter where you have done your 1st year)
Confusion :
If I ask for transcript to Pune university , they will give it for 2 years. How will I prove about the 1st Year? Do I need to ask my previous university (Chattisgarh university ) for only 1st year transcript as well??
2. Post Graduation Degree :
I have completed my PGDM in marketing from an AICTE approved college, this course was not an university course.
Confusion : Do I ask my college to send the transcript or AICTE to sent it?

WES request transcript from all the universities you have studied..so, you should get it from all I believe. It's good to confirm it from WES itself. Description box has contact information of WES.

1) I have a Master's of Technology degree, so I don't need to do evaluation of my bachelor's degree, is that correct?
2) My university is sending the transcripts to WES directly. I need to know about three options for degree copy.
