Now that we're into spring, I would love an update on how the mower is fairing.
Also, please continue making content. There isn't enough warm season grass content. Especially since I'm also in DFW and I'm just getting into the lawn life.

It's actually doing well this spring. I'm selling that home and it's about to close so I was able to get a few mows in. The 24v held up well but to be fair, my lawn isn't as thick during spring. Since I've left they home empty for 6 months while on the market, Ill only get to mow it every two weeks. The grass does get too about 2-3 inches. While the 24v may not be able to handle thick lawns, it can definitely handle tall grass!

These videos are great, thanks for sharing. Not many people in the groups or on CZcams showcase the in depth knowledge you're sharing here. I'm looking to do something similar to my Scott's Pro 18-inch, but the price tag is still steep considering $650 is nearly half the way to pre-owned professional units versus hobbyist equipment.

I absolutely get it when it comes to the cost. The two main factors for going electric is low cost maintenance and the quietness of it. When I was living in that home, that's what I needed. Now that I moved to a bigger property where the homes are spaced a bit further apart I am looking to go gas powered. Plus, I'm at a point where I have a way more financial freedom!

could you not have the front roller with the wheels at the same time?

I tried after this video just out of curiosity. If I put the front rollers back on, the stock wheels wouldn't be touching the ground.

What controller are you using? Any link where to buy it?

Reelcnc has a newer simpler version now so I don't think that control box is being used anymore. Visit reelcnc.com to see the version 2.

I spent about $650ish for the mower and conversion kit.
