- I have the honor of testing the current version of the electric conversion bracket kit from reelCNC! This one is for the Earthwise 16" 7 Blade reel mower. This is the first generation bracket. reelCNC now has a newer generation bracket that has a much cleaner look and designed for a more powerful motor.
Electric Conversion brackets are now on sale at www.reelcnc.com:

I assume you're talking about RMM. Haha, that "was" my #1, but multiple things changed that: hurt feelings, can't take constructive criticism, can't even keep their inventory stocked, and had recent quality issues that people complained about. So, I am pursing reelCNC, which actually has great reviews. Also, the bracket is available. Great video, much appreciated!
Thank you! I love my Earthwise and have been wishing I could do a conversion just like this! My lawn would most certainly need a bigger motor. It gets SUPER thick middle of the season.
PS - I would agree with going with the original wheels.
PPS - thanks for showing how to backlap in your other video. It was a question - and this solution would make it 10 times easier!!
Right idea. My only suggestion to you is to create a box that can plug and play. Many people doesn’t like to wired anything regardless how easy it is. If you can create a box by just plug it in, watch out all other expensive reel mowers. You’ll put them out of business or make them lower their cost. I’m sure you’ll be getting notice very soon if you take my advice.
For the $500 in parts you have to buy for this it's pretty ghetto... no chain cover all the components exposed I can't see this setup lasting long
That’s pretty dope!
Thanks, i can use their wiring diagram for the Fiskars Conversion.
Man, I wish i knew about this for my earthwise a long time ago, i just built a fiskars eletric and could have just bought this with all the money I spent on that. I also like the earthwise cut better due to the shorter wheel base. Oh well, looks like I might just have 2 LOL!
I wonder if you could use a gear reduction and connect it to the wheels
I have the 18" wheel version with dual rollers and I am struggling to push it. The only thing that I do not like about the stock wheels is that I usually ruin my curb grass because I have one wheel sitting on the walkway and one the grass.
Have you tried to install the control ( on /off switch ) on the handle ?
Great video. I’m looking forward to getting this kit. Being in Texas, I love supporting fellow Texans.
You'll love it. reelCNC has made improvements from the first version I got.
Hey man please provide more content ASAP.
How thick is the aluminum?
Hi do you know if they make these kit for great states 18 inch?
The one for the Scotts 18 may work as I believe they are the same dimensions. I suggest you contact reelCNC and ask.
@@tonysaylc that’s what I was thinking… I did send a mail but no response…
How much were the parts in addition to the bracket? Or time stamp please if it's in the video.

Just based on the price estimate for each part on the website you're looking around $500, not great for basically something ghetto rigged like this
@@inf0x0definitely respect your opinion but this one is way more durable then a Sunjoe electric reel mower. I clearly would take this "ghetto" looking one over the Sunjoe. Also, the version 2 has a much cleaner look.
Looks like they're all sold out, I'm interested in something for my fiskers, have you heard of anything for it?
Ruststogs on youtube he's making a kit for the Fiskars stay sharp reel mower
How many watts is this motor? Good video 👌
350W. The new generation is up to 1000W as they realized the 24V 350W is not enough power.
Can you bag with this?
If you can fabricate a catcher you could bag. The mount comes with holes for the front roller and you could use those holes to mount a catcher.
