      Yeah buddy!! Although emtbs really allow much more hot weather riding. Instead of climbing at 5mph, climb at 12mph with a little less effort and carry way more water.
      I'll report back as I put the new Bosch SX bikes through the ringer. That Canyon one looks too good to be true at the moment.

      @@EMTBReview I have a 2024 Santa Cruz Bullit. The Bullit handles better downhill than any MTB I've owned (have owned 6 MTBS). The weight makes it feel so planted, yet the bike is easy to unweight and jump when needed. Also really loving the MX setup. I also find the EP801 motor quite natural feling and love that it doens't have overrun - makes tight techy trails easy to navigate.

Can't decide if I should get an LT or a Wild to add to the stable. I definitely ride the Rise hard in chunky cliff side trails enduro style. But I do really like that the Rise is light for hike a bike or playfulness.

    I'm 75 on my way to 76, with luck. I've been riding single track since the mid-90's with lots of different bikes. My current ride is a Pivot Trail 429. I need an e-EMTN bike now, though...knees and hips are not what they once were. I am not enduro-focused, obviously, spending fun time playing on my PENNSYLVANIA trails, and would like a bike light enough to lift onto my Thule rear rack. A local dealer in Reading, PA has called to offer me a 2023 demo Orbea Rise M10 with the 540 Wh battery (the larger option for that year). I think this is a good ride for me? Yes, not a mullet, like the new Cannonade Moterra SL is, but it's available NOW. Any thoughts from this community are greatly appreciated!! (Nam guy from 69-71). Thanks.

    • @zevhorton2755
      @zevhorton2755 Před měsícem

      @chester1167 If you like your Pivot Trail 429, then you should checkout a Pivot Shuttle SL. I own one and love it. They can be built up to weight less than 40lbs. However, one other point is that you mentioned that you want an e-bike that is light enough to lift onto your rack. There are racks with ramps built in or that can be added which allow you to roll it up and into the wheel trays. Also, there are tricks that make it easier to lift a full powered e-bike such as squeezing the rear brake and lifting the front wheel into a tray and then using two hands to lift the back wheel into the tray. I showed that trick to my wife and now she can load and unload her full powered aluminum Norco sight by herself! So if you want a heavy full powered bike then you should be able to get one and still load it baring any physical disabilities. I say that to say that you should get the bike that you want and not worry so much about lifting it.

    • @EMTBReview
      @EMTBReview  Před měsícem

      That's a sweet deal for sure. I'm not high on the Trek Fuel EXe since the motor is a weak and the range is not good compared to the competition now.
      But if one doesn't live around steep hills and not riding with faster riders, this can work out well.

    • @EMTBReview
      @EMTBReview  Před měsícem +1

      The Orbea Rise aluminum needs to come out so more folks can attain this bike. The only knock is the motor is still huge so it doesn't have the stealth factor of a Fazua or TQ bike.
      Great option though and Orbea has done a fine job with the sequel.

    I am very happy with kenevo SL comp, original version, it was great sale in my local resseler - just for 4700 Eur. I am a tall guy so 29 inch wheels are welcome :-) It is light ,it is fun for jumps and rockgardens, it is very very capable, big drops... it also has variable geometry and with flip chip you can put 27,5 wheel on the rear if you want. The SL motor is very effective and predictable, so long distance 70-80km rides are easy to plan. I also have that extender, but I am not using it. It si not neccesary for 2-3 hrs rides. Before Kennevo SL a own a big and heavy enduro e-bike (CTM Switch Pro 29+27,5 EP8+630W0h, 160+155mm travel, 26,5kg weight) and longer distances were almost impossible to ride because of progressive eco mode on shimano EP8, when I put some kadence and power to the pedals, the motor also drains the battery very quickly. Kenenvo Sl motor is much les powerfull, but I like it more, it has ver natural feeling, like normal bike (yes noise is there but kadence and assistance is very natural. The EP8 was too powerfull for my taste, I also ride Stumpjumper 2022 and Kona Process 153, so I need just little help from ebike. Sorry for my english I am not a native speaker :-) I think that mid-powered lightweight emtbs are the future of mountain biking.
