Glad you're loving it!
Ari, until what date will the summer sale on your “peak” series of e-bikes go on?
Looks like a great bike,, My giant trance mid powered bike with fox live valve is the best bike I have ridden so far,, Bikes are improving so much over the years
The customer service has been great which makes a direct to consumer model work.
Exactly. That is essential for Direct ebikes.

how nervous should someone be with the whole direct-to-consumer model on these e-bikes, especially with motor issues being not exactly uncommon? The pricing is attractive but that advantage would disappear pretty quick if you're shipping engines back and forth (especially if youre in, say, canada for example)...
You are right on about needing more travel. I wish my Trek Fuel EX-e hade more travel. 160-170 travel be what my next bike will have! Also another good call on the display, blinking bars seem like pager tech in a world of smart phone screens. Also I would love to see a bike with Shimano XT 11 speed Linkglide! Better and cheaper then Transmission.
P.S. would love to see a review on the Lewis Brakes. Nice looking brakes!
You can over stroke the rear shock to 152mm and put a 160mm fork.
Yeah, I just came back from and advanced ride with a lot of jumps and I thought I was off. It looks like I was just running out of travel.
Your reviews are always so good! Congrats 👍, greetings from the Alps
Glad you like them!
I'm happy with the 140/150mm travel. Many parts of the country (midwest for example) just don't need more travel, honestly a 130/140 would be more than adequate. I'm glad that Ari went this approach. Now, I agree that Ari should also do a 160/170 mid power with enduro geo. That would be sweet.
I'm seriously considering getting rid of my 2022 Orbea Rise Hydro for one of these, but the continuing lack of a range extender, the ring controller and the lack of a 1-100% power gauge has me hesitant.
The nice thing is that with a mullet setup you have a lot more room to add travel . That will only increase the capability of this bike and set it up for days where you expect to hit bigger trails.
Rhat bike is sweet, but I would go with transition for the extra travel. Problem is I like rock shox
Great looking ride. So Francis, on bikes with extender batteries, can I get three extenders for a bike or am I limited to only one due to some firmware setting? I want to do the White Rim in a day on an ebike. I think I can do it with my bike in eco but I think I would suffer more than just doing it on my analog bike. I either need a full 720 W-hr battery spare or a mid power bike with three extenders.
Best upgrades have been mullet and 160 fork so far. I think a coil shock would bring this closer to enduro for more capability and more appropriate for an e-bike
Any options for increasing rear travel with mullet?
@@EMTBReview yes, when I aired down and checked the available space between tire and seat post, there was quite a lot of space. I’m not really sure how to increase travel other than just buying a new shock but for sure there is a lot of room with a mullet. Would be a good experiment for those who know how to do it
@@EMTBReview looking to you to lead us on getting to a 160 travel nebo. The ext storia v3 would suit this nicely, just don’t know enough about tuning and setup to make it happen. If there is a 210x60 shock, I think that translates into 152mm travel. The current tune is a low compression tune and linear rebound tune
Thoughts on the ARI vs the Heckler SL?
The Ari has a much lower entry price point so that allows more folks to buy it.
At the same price point of about $8k, the Ari Nebo is much better spec'd on all points. It is lighter too by about 2 lbs.
The Heckler SL has 'better' travel of 150/160mm and it comes native as mullet. Advantage Heckler SL here.
Ride quality, they ride about the same but the Ari has a better experience with way better brakes, T-type drivetrain and suspension at the same price point. The Ari is more svelte and discrete looking as well.
Both great bikes but nod goes to the Ari.
How does this stack up against the new Canyon Neuron OnFly? I am leaning towards the Nebo for a little better torque at lower cadence
Can you sync the fazua system to a garmin computer to see more data like battery %, speed, cadence, ect…?
The Edge 530 is the lowest level Garmin that will do that. But you can see the actual bike battery percentage (which I prefer over having 3 dots left and guessing the range of percentage left). Speed and all that is done through the Garmin without needing to talk to the bike. I personally don’t bother with something like cadence while mountain biking. It varies so much depending on the terrain I never look down to see. I have the Nebo with the wireless shifting so I also have my shifting gears displayed and battery displayed as well. There is a Fazua data screen you can download for the Garmin as well. I didn’t like it very much though.
is dvo suspension any good / reliable ? (On cheapest bike model)
DVO is very well respected.
How well does it ride against a gen 2 levo SL?
This is faster and more supportive going up hills, I'd say about 20%. Also the range is about 30% better.
Downhill, the Levo SL is smoother and has more travel and a bit better with mullet.
@EMTBReview but I have an extender with the levo sl so range should be as good... correct?
Brings me to 480wh.
Also with the inventory issues you have been talking about. My Specialized dealer gave me 25% off, also on the extender so price becomes more inline with an internet brand, but with easier dealer support.
2:14 reach is longer on the link short
I dont understand why they call theses bikes "mid power"
For m they are "low power"
