From the comments below there seems to be a lot of interest about how tablets can be made. First of all it is likely useful to understand that a vitamin tablet, say, that can be gotten from your local pharmacy is in fact a small “cookie” (for the lack of a better word. If I recall adequately from way back when, it is a two step process: typically the non-medicinal ingredients include wheat or corn flower with any dyes, quite a bit of sodium stearate (for the lubrication for the processing machinery, (there are a number of well, recipes are approved by the FDA and the CDC, and so on), sodium chloride (table salt), some distilled water --- mix well until the consistency is about like molding clay then bake for about 30 minutes (as I noted above that are a number of approved recipes, grind up the cooked and then cooled materials. Often such activities can take several hours with the grinders often appear like concrete mixers (stainless steel with covers). The now more or less uniform powder is sifted so that there is a certain approved physical consistency in this powder. The powder is chemically check for water content, and so on. All officially approved. This powder, once the approved steps are checked, is very carefully weighed out along with the vitamin powder. More hours of mixing with those covered stainless steel concrete mixers. More careful, officially approved chemical tests. Finally, the pill press is readied, according to official procedures. (The plant might look like a ho-hum average building, but everything inside is incredibly clean and there are small armies of cleaning experts, officially approved, going through the various stations cleaning this and that.) The press machines, after being readied, with the proper shoe (the carrier of the now medicated powder is loaded in to this shoe) on the presses stainless steel table... and the press is turned on there are several motors that drive cams (in the more common examples) that slide the powder ladened shoe goes back and forth across the machine's table to drop a specific volume of powder into the hole that contains the bottom steel die, the shoe pulls back and a rod with the upper die advances to compress the charged hole, with approved pressures (otherwise there is capping, in which the tablet is too fragile and falls apart as the tablet can't be handled). The upper die pulls up and the bottom die pushes up the completed tablet --- which is gathered up with the shoe that is now advancing to deliver another charge. It's a cycle that lasts about one second or less. So that the machine, if operated continuously, can make a bit over 3,000 tables per hour. So practically speaking, have to have permissions to do this and that. Plus the costs of the building, the costs of highly educated folks, a pretty good chemistry lab, and on and on. For many firms the costs in the US are prohibitive, so they do the tablet making part overseas. Then when the tablets are shipped into the US, the shipment is checked out like outfits like the USP, or USP approved labs. Then the pills are sold to drug distributors. One can be easily reminded of an anthill, because of the business of the the process.

They go into a rotating blender in exact weights/ratios. The one in my job looks kinda like an ice-cream cone with an upside down ice-cream cone on top and it spins until they're a uniform mix. The blend is sampled every 15 minutes or so when the very first batches are made so there's a record of when the perfect blend is achieved, or if it will de-blend if spun too long. When the blend time is done, then you can be certain that every sample taken will be identical proportions of the ingredients.

There is a machine that has a V- shaped cylinder in which the ingredients are placed. The cylinder is rotated for a certain amount of time to allow the different ingredients to thoroughly mix. Here's a longer explanation and picture: www.bionicsscientific.com/pharmaceutical-blenders/v-cone-blender.html

The Punches and dies are how they get the thickness, hardness and weight. That's important because the amount of dose, how the tablet is digested, also how the tablets fits in the bottle.

I think you just described the concepts of Doctor Jekyll and Hyde when he tried to separate the evil and good of mankind. It’s not really possible because human nature will always exist in itself (like matter if that makes sense?). It’s like describing perfection but that doesn’t exist either because you can’t erase something from existence. There is no possibility for that (and I doubt there ever will be). It’s a state of mind whether or not the bad out ways the good though. There will always be bad in the world, yes, but there will always be good too. You can’t really put it into a pill because it’s a state of mind rather than a physical concept. It’s all a matter of perspective and what you choose to do with your life (and existence as you put it) because the point of life is simply to live. It’s up to you how to do it.

@@ayeeee9343 It really isn’t. Not in the way you’re thinking though at least. It’s a matter of thinking and there’s no way to make everyone think the same or make all the bad things go away. It’s a matter of action and thinking though like I said before. The more good you put out into the world the less bad and the less horror and such there is so it is possible to do what you want but not to make a drug to do so (it’s not that easy sadly. I wish it was).
