In 2010 when I was in my 9th standard, I got a chemistry book & in its very 1st chapter named Particulate Nature Of Matter, the very 1st stanza of the 1st section mentioned that the concept of the particulate nature of matter (i.e., matter is made up of particles - atoms, ions, or molecules) was first given by an ancient Indian sage named Maharishi Kanad.

We must teach our children about the wonderful cultural & scientific legacy that they have inherited from the ancient Hindus.
Now it's time to change western world mind set's towards our achievements and discovery done by Rishimuni's in Indian vadas-shastras . In order to make this happen we all have to take some steps . It's not going to happen just by like and share . Recently UGC changes the syllabus of history by the hard efforts of our professor's and our PM . Likewise we all have to write a letter and email to UGC and NCERT to add this inventions and discovery to science fiction syllabus from school level to university level.
So we all have to come together to make this possible

From what I have read of Issac Newton, he would not make the claim that, "I discovered gravity." He was quantifying it in western terms and formulae, but he read all that he could, and wrote and analysed human spirit as well as matter. Anyway, thanks for this, really great as a westerner myself, who studied with a teacher from India when I was young, and it is reassuring to see India and her people begin to publish some of the truths of humanity, with improved historical accuracy, for all too see, no matter who one is, or where one lives. The internet is not as terrible as I thought.

Timeline gets adorned by excellent minds when there are a lot of thinking and sensible people around to communicate in the general populous. 10:22 at this point it is to be noted that the timeline shows at least two people from the subcontinent, and when we come to the end of the same timeline we see three people from the west adorning it. If we actually dig our past (India's)we can really bring up very many personalities from India. The fundamentals of nature was obviously documented by various people from around the world and it could only be truer for our country since we were more philosophical and thinkers than any in the world.
But we could not keep the momentum up and certainly our cultural mores did not help for the knowledge to be permeated to the lower rung of the society in order it to be utilized and become meaningful and purposeful. Our Rishis and Munis knew that knowledge is power and took it too literally. Thus guarding it from the very people who really needs it. Certainly, that defeated the very purpose of empowering people of the time degrading it and subsequent withering away of the knowledge from our Rishis and Munis. Now suddenly the Hindutva people are crying that, they are the great ones on earth and should be respected. First of a Hindu India got converted to a non-Hindu state in actually a 'rebelling' against the higher caste due to the rigid nature of things in the society. And then back again to the Hindu India a thousand years later...so stop claiming for the Hindus (they too are converted). Claim for our country and not for a section of the country's residence.

He did more than quantifying gravity. He unified 3 different laws of motion (parabolic, elliptical, and hyperbolic) into one equation. The motions were all quantified into independent equations before Newton, as well. His contribution was making those three different equations aspects of a single equation.

This is from just few books which survived and was written in encoded poetic Sanskrit language so that only the one who "seeks" finds it. Imagine the knowledge we have lost over the years.

It is fascinating.
Even now we have many manuscripts waiting to be translated. So although we lost a lot we have to focus on what's left make most of it. They say we did not write history well there are many many Sanskrit texts still not translated.

Vedic logic speaks clearly about the Gravity of the Self. Something which is not merely a mathematical relation between objects and forces, but the nature of Self-Effort which Gravitates around itself and all other Simulations of itself - which make the whole cosmos. This is truly great and noble work. I have lived in Tamil Nadu for more than thirty years. I teach about the visual arts being a practitioner myself. I am using your documentaries as teaching aids and launch points for further investigative work. The colonisation periods and particular, the British has done so much damage to the Indian culture and distortion of Indian history that only just now I feel that India is slowly emerging. However the British education system must be replaced by a studied Indian system in order to speed recovery from Western propaganda and ideology.

We Indians predicted the eclipses and other astronomical events, to the last second, from centuries gone by. That's really good piece of information. However, I'm having a view that Newton's findings had more mathematical context to them. Mathematical understanding more important because it helps to derive more complex ideas from something fundamental.
What I'm sensing from this is that Maharishis have tried to understand Gravity like many other concepts but didn't give any mathematical context to it.
