    Did anyone notice this?
In the scene where Ahsoka is leaving Anakin after quitting the order, as she was descending the stairs, it hit me that it is almost the exact way she leaves in Rebels after she fights Vader. Even though she is wearing her cape in the Rebels scene and not in the other, it is eerily similar to me. IF you have seen that Rebels scene, even though the light is darker and harder to see details, watch this one again and see if it hits you differently.
Maybe its just me. I had never noticed it before. Maybe after watching thid video, I was all into my feels, that I noticed it more. It hit me in the gut and my eyes widened...and I said, "Whoa....😮 that looks the same. At least the emotions and reasons behind both those scenes. Its not just walking down stairs. It's "goodbye Anakin" in both.

    Mortis arc wins hands down

  • @CATDRL2

All of the arcs are important to the Star Wars: The Clone Wars mythology. What's interesting is that none of them are crucial to the canon movies, specifically the Prequels and Original Trilogy.
I wasn't aware of the vote. Here is my ranking.
#1 I believe that some fans voted the Mortis arc as the least important because they were not aware of its significance. However, after watching Rebels and Ahsoka, it is clear that the Mortis arc is the most important material to understand where Dave Filoni is taking us. The Balance of the Force is becoming increasingly important as new media emerges. Initially, we thought that the Jedi were entirely good and the Sith were the evil that needed to be eliminated. But we are now becoming aware that the Jedi were easily corrupted, and using children to fight a war is unjust. This underscores Yoda's comment, "Fail I have, exile I must go." Mortis is showing us that finding balance is difficult and comes with several issues. It also explains Baylin's comments in the Ahsoka series, his insistence to get rid of the old ways and start anew. For this reason, Mortis is the most crucial arc as it will affect the events in upcoming canon media.
#2 is the Siege of Mandalore, which comes so close to altering the events of Revenge of the Sith. Ahsoka's decision not to tell Yoda what she found out from Maul will haunt her for years until Anakin forgives her in the Ahsoka show. The most impactful sequence of the arc is when Maul extends his hand to Ahsoka and utters those words, "Every choice you have made has led you to this" Those words still cause me to shake and send chills down my spine, with me saying, "He's so right."
#3, #4, and #5 are all tied with me as they are all tear-jerkers and have a significant emotional impact on viewing this series. I cry each and every time I view them.
Honorable mentions: Ahsoka with the captured young Padawans on that Trandoshan island. The very end of that when she thanks Anakin for all the training concluded that arc that started from the initial movie introduction of Ahsoka when Yoda told Obi-Wan that he set that up to help Anakin's inner demon. "It's like poetry it rymes".
So much great material, I make it a point to rewatch this series every couple of years, it never gets old.
Thanks for making the video, all those scenes are equally important and emotionally impactful. I sure enjoy you videos and excited when I get notified of one.
    Best
    Tony

Thanks so much Tony for your insight. Yes the scene with Maul at the Siege of Mandalore is huge. And so impactful. And I agree that the Clone Wars series is extremely important, but not crucial to the prequel trilogy. The one thing that it did do, was make me love the prequels even more. Seeing this version of Anakin, his loyalty to the ones he loves, the charismatic hero, the teacher and the struggles he goes through on his fall to the dark side is really explored in the Clone Wars. Cheers!

Thank you so much Tony, for putting down the words and emotions to exactly how I felt when I watched those scenes. Its amazing how an animated series can bring about such strong and intense feelings, as if you were right there in the scenes with them. Moreso than the actual live actors in the movies. Some of the best animation I have seen, especially in capturing their unsaid feelings. I mean...you KNEW Rex was crying before the helmet came off! I did, even when I saw it the first time.
Also an unexpected thing happened while I was watching the series...even though Maul is supposed to be the "evil" one, between Rebels and The Clone Wars, you actually feel for him. The tenderness Obi-wan gave him in his last moments, wow. The two shows "humanized" him. Sam Whitwer really put his all in voicing Maul.
For YEARS I scoffed at why anyone would watch "cartoons" even if it was all about Star Wars. Now I actually feel for people who have the same feelings I felt about it. They are missing SO much. Truly. The prequels had so many gaps that it just didnt feel complete and left me confused on several things. I just recently decided to watch the animated series this past year. I think the weather was bad for several days and I just decided to "Watch one episode." (Yeah right). And somewhere after a few episodes, I clicked on the wrong Clone Wars and realized it was the animated movie of TCW. Ahsoka was a bit irritating at first, she ended up being one of my favorite characters. Sorry for the ramble. Your comment really reasonated with me. :).

Balance isn't the dark gone or in star wars the sith gone. its where both sides are equal in power. whether thats both have it or neither do

@@SWPhoenixSquadron that’s how i see it. like if light is one side and dark is the other and the jedi held all the power that’s not balance. idk if it’s my autism but i see it as a scale and if 100lbs are on side and 0lbs on the other side that’s not balance
