When removing the grill, I’ve found once you remove the bolts if you pull the bottom tabs first the top tabs will have a hinge type effect. Just a quicker/easier way to remove the grill.

If u end up finding that part for ur truck more than likely u would need to connect it to the taillights harness or any cable that carries power under the bed

I went to my local Chevy dealership. Go to their parts department and if they ask u for the item number it will be the one on the description. Depending on what color u want the face to be that will be the item number u will provide them.
