Who Is The Wrestling GOAT?

- In the sports and entertainment world the term “GOAT” is thrown around a lot. In some professions the GOAT is definitive because they simply changed the game, in wrestling the answer to that probably won’t ever be found. But as of late I’ve been seeing the term thrown a lot online. Your pick could be John Cena or The Rock or Stone could even be even Roman Reigns... whatever your pick is the debate will forever rage on. In this video I look at some of the greatest performers, characters and overall global phenomenons that the wrestling world has seen.

*My personal GOAT is Undertaker. He's been there for 30 years, he had everything, longetivity, marketablilty, an epic character, he made the impact in every era also people who have no idea about wrestling know the undertaker. He has iconic feuds, matches and everything you need. The people always gravitated towards him, he always made his gimmick fresh, and he was the reason why wrestlemania felt so special. The Undertaker will always be the Greatest of all time.*
Greatest striker also. He should be top 5 in everyone’s list. Hands down.
Now that you put it that way I have to agree
Agreed undertaker. Or even brock
@@jaf1213 nahh not brock.
I put him and sting at the same level sting didn't do much inside WWE but did when it was WWF in the 80s and then WCW,ECW,TNA & AEW he helped carry and became a legend in all the companies honestly just saying it makes me notice Undertake has done allot in WWE but not for the wrestling industry as awhole the person who did was Sting he Carried More companies and in WWE with proper Booking could of out did undertaker. When it comes to WWE undertake Bar none but outside WWE stings accomplishment's out shine all other wrestlers
It's between Cena and Taker for me. A combined 49 year career between just the 2 of them and Cena is still going. On longevity alone they're unmatched and I haven't even mentioned Cena's mic skills, marketability and impact on pop culture or Undertakers in ring ability, the greatest streak in Wrestling history and greatest character in wrestling history. How do you compete with that??
Hulk Hogan. He really put wrestling on the map in the 80s.
I don't like him personally, but he is easily in the top 3 of most well-known wrestler of all time.

For me, it's gotta be John Cena. His Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect really makes an impact on me and my life. He inspires me to work hard and achieve anything I set my mind to.
John Cena? Never seen 'er.
I don't think anyone who watch WWE in its peak will select Cena. Anyway your reasoning is interesting.

For me it would be Randy Orton, he’s always captivated me from the beginning. He’s the youngest world heavyweight champion, the first wwe world heavyweight champion and even was supposed to beat undertaker at wrestle mania but refused to out of respect for taker. The man can be a baby face or heel and do it perfectly, he gets a pop out of the fans anytime he’s on and has put on great match after great match, he’s had some of the greatest rivalries ever and in my opinion, is what a wrestler should be. Not to mention he has the most iconic and popular finisher of all time.
Yes randy orton is the greatest of all time
Randy is 41 and he fights like 21 . Truly a goat
A damn good choice
not doubt randy is real goat the kid favourite roman but they dont know about wwe histroy i am youngest thtswhy i follow randy Orton He is really Great wrestler
He kindof stole his finisher from stone cold
Between Austin and the Rock. They led the greatest era of wwe
For me it's John Cena cause there isn't anyone like him, nobody has the interactions with the fans as he does, his skills on the mike are even more better than his in-ring work and the man's character was something else also who knew that he would also be not just the best World Champ but also the best US Champ.
same.
Lets go cena
Cena sucks
But yeah cena is the best
For me it's between Cena and The Rock
@@notjohncena6492 People said Kurt Angle sucked and didn’t actually mean it. Kurt Angle was an actual Olympic gold medalist too so he was legit , Fans just make stuff up and stick with it.
@@TheUltimateX34Same absolutely same. For me it is between Rock and Cena
Have to say The Undertaker. Had the greatest character, longest run and always adapted, and of course the streak. From a mainstream standpoint Hogan, Austin, Rock, and Cena were the most popular because they were the faces of the company. But for me when I think of the biggest household names in wrestling it's Undertaker, Hogan, Austin, Rock, Cena, and Andre the Giant.
Its sad tho like wwe does not push this dude like other superstars. He gets beaten by brock, reigns. He still a legend, but is also what michael cole said once, the cornerstone of the wwe
@@not2hd662 Yeah I definitely agree, I think it just came down to his character not being what wwe wanted to market as the top guy. But for for me Taker will always be the goat because he outlasted everyone and was a main event player during every major era of wrestling.
vinny eguakun agreed
Yeah. He was never "the guy" in any of the era's he wrestled in. He was the backbone of the company instead.
agreed
Undertaker.
He remains and endures, he fought matches on broken bones and functioned as the mentor to more wrestlers than we know.
He always put the new guy and freshmen at the forefront and took a bump every chance he got to make it look good for the new wrestlers.
The Rock hands down
HBK Shawn Michaels for me. I can watch any one of his matches and be entertained, I don’t get that with other wrestlers. He was so good in the ring, he also had the look, mic skills, realness, edgy years, heel and baby face, real life controversy, iconic theme music and entrance. He was the whole package.
For me it's HBK. He may have been an asshole, but he carried the company through the toughest times. Being Mr WrestleMania counts for a lot. He has classic match after classic match. He is one of the best wrestlers, but also performers. He is a fantastic actor, and can cut a hell of a promo.
I don't really like him , but it's Hogan. The man made Wrestling a mainstream media success and part of pop Culture. He was the face of wrestling and the biggest star in wrestling for 2 decades. Till this day no one has outsold him in terms of merchandise or ticket sales or ratings.
@@SS-tg8lf Vince McMahon actually confirmed that Stone Cold outsold Hogan when asked
@Roman Reignstbf Hogan isnt my GOAT but he's easily top 5 oat. Hbk, Taker, Rock, Austin, Flair and Bret are the only one who are on his level
Bret Hart carried the company through its toughest years, and was also the one who lead the way for smaller guys to be on top. But sure, I guess HBK has that well known factor as he came back in the 2000's, which is the childhood of most people here. In that regard Bret's at a disadvantage.
But yeah, no. Even though Shawn Michaels does deserve a lot of credit for his work in the 90's. Arguably even equal credit to Bret. Bret Hart was just the GOAT of the New Generation era and his fingerprints were all over the Attitude era as much as Shawn's was.
No Bret? No Attitude era. No Stone Cold. No Ladder matches. Probably no Rock as well, since Shawn & Triple H were apparently set on sabotaging The Rock's career, in which Bret protected him. Bret was reliable, innovative, and was as good as Shawn in a different way. He had it all. Could probably take it a step further and claim if there was no Bret Hart in the WWE at the time, the company may have gone under, and Shawn wouldn't have even had a chance to be a main eventer, as there was no way he was ready in 1992-1994 to solo carry the company on his back.
@@laltanchhana316 John Cena is definitely on Hogan level
Personally the goat for me is undertaker.
The mans character was perfection, everyone loves him. Always has classic matches, also even tho he was hardly on the mic his still had better promos than most wrestlers and his a badass he wrestled an elimination chamber match whilst suffering from 3rd degree burns bare in mind he was standing in the pod for a good 20 minutes. His a locker room leader and lastly the streak, they should've never ended the streak he should've retired with a perfect 27-0 or 28-0 if he had wrestled at wrestlemania 35
Streak wouldn't have been iconic if it didn't end we wouldn't have Seth Rollins without him it was too iconic to not happen
i think the streak should have ended, but not to Brock. I hoped they would give than honor to a rising star at the time such as Daniel Bryan or Seth Rollins
He's definitely the goat and this clown didn't bother putting him in the thumnail
Not sure about ALWAYS classic matches. I mean do u remember his match with oldberg?
@@dimwitter Giant Gonzalez too
Kurt Angle. His wrestling machine gimmick was the most believable thing I’ve ever seen in a wrestling ring. He also carried TNA with great matches when it was its hottest. He did all of this with multiple broken necks, multiple dui’s and an insane pill addiction. He embodies a professional wrestler through and through.
This is a really decent effort, Superkick. Really like your videos so far. Glad you mention AJ Style's body of work because it is... phenomenal. Sting also needs to be in the GOAT conversation, just like the Undertaker, Sting kept himself relevant by changing and reinventing himself, and working with fresh talent. Even to this day he is being used really well in AEW, and he's performing to a standard that he shouldn't be able to reach at his age, yet does. I do think longevity counts for a lot, alongside in-ring ability, promos, influence, mainstream appeal, body of work, athleticism, acting and characterisation. So I would go: 1. Steve Austin 2. Hulk Hogan 3. Shawn Michaels 4. The Rock 5. Rik Flair 6. Bret Hart 7. John Cena 8. Undertaker 9. Sting 10. Hunter. Honourable mentions for Mick Foley, Owen Hart, AJ Styles, CM Punk, Chris Jericho.
On the women's side of things the GOAT is really easy... Lita got bigger pops during the attitude era than any other Superstar, including all the men (except Austin and Rock). Lita is easily the female GOAT.
Undertaker had the greatest career. Shawn Michaels was the greatest performer. Stone Cold had the greatest adoration from the fans. The Rock was the greatest on the mic. Ric Flair had the greatest charisma.
Most accurate post. Although i think it’s a toss up between Ric Flair and The Rock as far as charisma

No Eddie Bret Benitot Kurt are all better Wrestlers than Shawn Michaels
And Cena has it all
@@Alex-go4sl He was talking about putting on a show during the part, not at being great at the technical part of wrestling. But it's true, all those you mentioned are all better technical wrestlers.
Randy Orton he is still running with keyfabe in an age where it's dead he is also giving back to the new generations and finally he is a guy the wwe can trust to carry a great, eyecatching storyline
He’s definitely a top 15 wrestler at the least
Goat the viper
I'd say Orton has finally broke the top 10, these past few years he has reminded everyone how good he is and how much he cares about the business by elevating the talent and making people believe in storylines
Top2
He is also one of the most compelling heels in wrestling history, and can be great as a baby face as well
Hulk Hogan
He made the WWF/WWE the worldwide phenomenon it became. Without him most of us wouldn't even be the wrestling fans we are.
He main evented 7 Wrestlemania's. He made Wrestlemania the event it is. He won 2 Royal rumble's. He held the WWE title for 4 years from 84-88.
He was the biggest face of the 80s and then went to WCW and became the biggest heel of the 90s as WCW took over the WWF with Hulk on board. He then rolled back the years in the 00s to put on one last great Wrestlemania spectacle working with The Rock.
Hulk Hogan is Wrestling.
He's the Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Pele, Usain Bolt of Wrestling. He's the GOAT.
W
The goat has to be Undertaker. He’s been here for 30 years. He didn’t have a title much but almost every match he had was 5 stars. He almost never broke character. He had some of the most memorable rivalries like edge randy HHH HBK. He had some of the best character work, and stuff that fight him. Like the chokeslam and tombstone, even tho some of his matches with the newer guys like Aj styles he didn’t have a REAL match with him but still had great matches. H mean he went like 20 years undefeated, hell he got like 20 degree burns in a elimination match and still completed the match. That’s how my respect he has with this company.

The Rock by a long shot, changed the business in 6 short years. He captivated audiences, had legendary matches with triple H, taker, Steve, 100year old hogan, kurt angle and carried Goldberg in their match. He left as a global icon in wrestling and then became the biggest actor in Hollywood then he came back after 7 long years and broke more box office records for mania on his back. No one can touch him on his success in wwe and out of wwe. What he accomplished in such a short career in wwe no can match him and if he stayed as long as John cena did there would be no AEW today or even a John Cena

People will argue that in his first reign as face of the wwf alongside Bret Hart he wasn't the greatest draw but other than that I agree that HBK is the #1
Shawn Michaels is no doubt the best in ring “performer”

Stone Cold for me. That man is responsible for WWE booming once more. Austin not only was awesome on the mic, but his feuds were always must see and he was a huge draw.

Most wrestlers or the people who have been in that industry and know the industry will pick the Undertaker. He wasn’t just a great wrestler with a great character and many iconic moments. The people in that industry look up to him being the leader in the back, the locker room captain, the mediator for everyone, the conduit between the management and the wrestlers. He comes as a very respectful, kind, and a humble person in a time where many other wrestlers were beefing up with the others or even the management if a decision they didn’t like were to happen. They look for the Undertaker for help or answers, he really does come as a mediator. Many people respect the Undertaker and with that I think he is without a doubt the GOAT.
For me it’s either Stone Cold, The Rock or John Cena. Not trying to start a debate or anything but I am curious how people like Cena this much.
I was a kid in the ruthless aggression era so I grew up with him, I liked him even when he first got drafted to raw and people started to not like him, but since wwe went PG I haven t liked him much at all.
I didn't really get behind his promos and the backstage politics make it hard to appreciate Cena, The Character. He was very forced and over saturated to me and dominated arguably the driest era of wrestling and Cena's dominance just reminds me they failed to make any PG era stars because of how reliant they were on Cena and buried so many potential stars to continue have cena look strong. Which just results in having barely anyone to work with besides Punk and Orton, and my god did we see cena vs orton way too many times.
That's just how i feel tho, curious to hear other opinions.
My goat is John cena he is what made me get into wrestling, Around 2007-8 I was 5 years old, and He was on the cover of smackdown vs raw 08, and I would use him all the time, I would come home from school just to play WWE. And It’s like the impact john cena had was on a level of stone cold Steve Austin where when you think of wrestling you think of John cena. And people didn’t appreciate John cena until he stop wrestling full time, He was the best technically sound wrestler but He Had everything else, and He was like A super hero too many people. He’s my goat, but if I’m being un bias I would honestly say like stone cold, I was alive when he wrestled but when I watch old videos, it seem like everyone liked him and he had the craziest pop. And I would also put Chris Jericho in the goat convo too
When will the next video come? Can you make a series like " Whole career in 25 minutes"
1. Bret hart
2. hulk Hogan
3. Razor Ramon
All the old iconic wrestlers about whom we don't know much
I think Bret Hart is often overlooked, because of five bad things that happened to him in his later years: Montreal Screwjob, Owen's Death, WCW booking, Goldberg, and the stroke. Otherwise he could have retired same time with Stone Cold and probably have a return to WWE before the end of Attitude Era. Instead he went under the radar from '98-'00, retired because of Goldberg, and many people never even had the opportunity to see how great he was...
YEAH BROTHER 🙌🙌
My GOAT is Chris Jericho. He's been wrestling for over 30 years now and he's managed to still be interesting. He has skills on the mic that few have and he has always been one of the best wrestlers on the roster. Whether high-flying or technical wrestling, fast or slow, no matter what opponent he had, the match was great because Jericho is great. He's not afraid to do anything. He does comedy spots or he lets talent pin him to help them up. His character also evolves with him and stays interesting, which a Cena didn't have. Jericho had so many awesome gimmicks that others could only dream of. Be it the "Y2J" gimmick, the "Lionheart" gimmick, the "Save us Jericho" gimmick, the "The List" gimmick, the "The Painmaker" gimmick, the "Le Champion" gimmick or even the "The Best In The World At What He Does" gimmick. He was fantastic in every way.
I agree
My favorite is Chris Jericho too, he has it all.
Mine personally is Randy Orton he’s stayed consistent and loyal to wwe for 21 years, he’s great on the mic when he can always can put on a great match as the all the accolades and is still going
Still gotta say that CM Punk is my GOAT. I was lucky enough to grow up watching CM Punk during the Straight Edge phase and even the Nexus stuff. I still remember when I was sitting in front of the TV during the Pipe Bomb and being heartbroken when he just stopped showing up. How he fought and talked just connected with me in a special way and I don't think anyone can do it.
For me there’s 6 wrestling goats 6 people who really transcended pro wrestling that’s flair, hogan, taker,Austin, rock and cena if u wanna include Shawn,Bret or kurt or whoever fair enough but for me that’s the 6 wrestling goats
My fav is Kane but StoneColdSteveAustin is like 0.1 behind
No Jericho?
Thats a fair assessment. I think including too many names in the conversation dilutes it too much. Although its really hard not to include Shawn Michaels because he was probably the single best performer of all time. And he along with Taker carried the company during the Monday night wars when everyone was selling out to WCW.
Triple H is included in that list as well everyone knows this
Wow that’s my 6 holy shit I just commented hogans Austin rock taker flair cena holy shit bro I legit commented that on here I may like hhh Bret savage which I didn’t even see him mention my person favs are rock Bret hhh savage and seth Rollins modern day and Charlotte fit female
Chris Jericho is the GOAT.
Longevity, creativity, kayfabe, mic work, titles, accomplishments, wrestling ability. Guy is unmatched.
In my opinion, this isn't even a debate.
He is the Goat as far as I'm concerned. Kept recreating his gimic for 30:yesrs across WCW WWE NJPW and now AEW.
I'm glad he retired, would have been nice to see him have one more match at Saudi with Taker tho
@@1KQ_ he didn't retire he joined AEW
The only problem is that a guy named Ric Flair has all thise attribute and them some. Flair is a mixture of Hogan, Shawn, Jericho and Rock. Maybe you haven't seen his work, but you should. Flair is as close as the perfect top pro wrestler to have ever walked the Earth. I'm not a crazy Flair fan (I'm a bigger fan of Benoit, Bryan, Shawn, Regal, etc) but Flair's talent and huge impact is undeniable: many in the GOAT conversation have certain attributes, Flair has them ALL.
@@rodrigoodonsalcedocisneros9266 Im not going to argue with anyone that says that Flair is the GOAT. For me, it would be Y2J, but anyone that says its Flair, Michaels, Bret, Austin, Hogan, Sting, they are all more than deserving of the title.
Honorable mention Miz
Ugh... tough question. I don't know my history prior to the 90's but it appears? Hogan bought a mainstream appeal to wrestling. He also main evented the first Wrestlemania. I'm going to go with him. But for other eras, The Rock / Austin took it to another level, and Cena help maintain his era.
MT Rushmore might be a better question ! Love your videos, I wish i knew the process of how you create them and how you accumulate all the footage. I want to try as well.
For me, the GOAT of professional wrestling is definitely Kurt Angle!!! Great wrestler, great entertainer, can cut promos, can be a good face and heel. Plus he’s a legitimate gold medal winning wrestler!! Kurt doesn’t get nearly as much respect as he deserves
Ratio
good one
Kurt is sooo underrated! Prob the best Technical wrestler of all time aside of Benoit
You simply can't be the GOAT when the crowd chanted you suck during your entrance for nearly your entire career
Interesting choice. I do not agree but I can respect the choice.
Taker. 30 years. Amazing performer. The streak. I've never talked to another fan who didn't have the undertaker as one of their top guys. Just no other answer to me
Kurt Angle for me, amazing in the ring obviously, drew great crowd reactions, was so much fun to hate, genuinely funny, great chemistry with everyone both on the mic and in the ring. Could make a believable fight with every type of wrestler and style, from the Undertaker to Rey Mysterio.
IMO, for
Hardcore fans: Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Aj Styles
Casual fans: Stone Cold, The Rock, Cena, Hogan
In between hardcore and casuals: Randy Orton, Kurt Angle, Jericho
Shawn Michaels is my favorite and in my mind the greatest of all time. Over his 20 year career you could make a good argument he had the best matches in any stipulation he was in. He bled, he could do high spots, knew in ring psychology, and gave it all in the ring for Wrestling fans who loved and hated him. He may not be the best when it comes to particular topics but what he has that the others in this list lack is mastering them all around from Promos, to influence, to wrestling ability, psychology, storytelling, performances, overall match quality, even character consistency, and attire. Shawn did it all and deserves to be called the simple best/greatest in my eyes. A close second is AJ Styles
The G.O.A.T for me is Taker. I feel his energy and contributions to the business is irreplaceable. Longevity, getting over with the fans, ring work, etc.. But like it's been said before it's completely subjective. There's plenty of others who are legit worthy of being in the G.O.A.T discussion
I dont believe there could be just 1 GOAT in wrestling. I believe that the Mount Rushmore of Wrestling is more appropriate due to different eras spanning different years. My Mount Rushmore would consist of John Cena, Undertaker, Stone Cold, and Bret Hart. I grew up with John Cena and being that he is still somehow huge in my mid 20's is a testament to his abilities as an entertainer. Taker is self explanatory. He's done everything he could for the business. Longevity, a safe worker, backstage leader, Hell in a Cell, the streak, I could go on and on. Hulk Hogan might have put the WWF on the map but Stone Cold cemented it. It could be a toss up between him and the Rock with their influence during the Attitude Era but personally I think Austin brought out the every-man out of everyone in the 90's. His charisma and mic skills were unparalleled, again aside from The Rock. His overall influence still lingers till this very day. Bret Hart, the excellence of execution I think perfected the art of wrestling. His in-ring work was crazy, an example being his bout with the British Bulldog carrying the entire match. The Hart Dungeon's training and influencing the entire wrestling industry and not just in the WWE shows. I could go on and on about this but these to me are the greatest to ever do it.
All I know is randy orton has the greatest finisher ever.
Taker Stone Cold The Rock are my GOATS Literally the foundation of greatness in wrestling Each really cemented an impact that was never overcome by any others. Taker with the streak, Stone Cold for being the most popular character in wrestling history, The Rock for becoming the biggest crossover wrestler/actor ever! 90s Attitude was it.
If we’re talking about the entire package, it’s CLEARLY The Undertaker. He’s had the longest, most relevant character in WWE. Constantly revamping the image to stay up to date with the times, and masterfully, at that. He ain’t my personal favorite, but if I had to pick someone as the GOAT in wrestling, he is definitely my number 1 choice.
john cena for me
Yeah. Also he had great wrestling moves. Austin rock and hogan had a couple of good moves and energy but taker had a complete set.
@@royal4908 You’re kidding.
@@HeSoKlutch_84 ?
Undertaker on the mic was nonexistent at times. His American badass gimmick was kinda bad, and honestly all the years before that weren’t that crazy impressive. He didn’t become insanely popular until he ended the badass gimmick in 2004 and created the famous gong entrance. His move set wasn’t the entire package as you’ll never see him do any crazy high flying shit or anything crazy acrobatic. He’s top 5 for me but I wouldn’t put him number one he definitely had flaws and wasn’t perfect.
He said the nature boy isn't well known outside of professional wrestling is nuts. He literally has his own song.
As much of a Edge fan as I am and looking at his career from tag team division to mid carder to main event in whole span he went to the top at each and I love his career from beginning to know ... HBK has to be the goat 🐐 he had the swag and his in ring charisma was other worldly and he made it look easy .. in ring ability ... mic skills and was just all around a spark .. I think I give him the title do to his second run in his older days .. He was still moving better then most wrestlers on that roster in there prime during that time . He literally had the best 2nd run of any career ever some great matches past his prime 👌🏾
My personal GOAT is Eddie Guerrero. The reason for this is because he was such a trailblazer and his impact on this business inspires a lot of people to chase their dreams. I watch his Addiction promo whenever I'm feeling down to bring myself from the ashes. He was also a phenomenal wrestler, charismatic, could use the mic and was the total package. Viva La Raza!
Eddie Guerrero is overatteed
@@theprince3940 Do you even know the meaning of overrated?
Totally agree! 🙌
I’m not gonna lie you have your own opinion but Eddie when he was alive wasn’t even top 10 all time rip to him he was a great wrestler but definitely no where near the best I rank Roman reigns over him all time
Yes man he was the best and underrated stars
Stone Cold nobody could get the crowd going like him
My personal GOAT is and always will be Bret Hart. He's the guy who got me interested in Pro Wrestling to begin with along with Jim the Anvil Neidhart in the original Hart Foundation. Seeing this guy go from Tag team to intercontinental to world champion as a kid was such an incredible thing to have seen.
Tier 1: Austin, Michaels, Undertaker, Flair, Rock, Hogan
Tier 2: Bret Hart, Macho Man, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Brock Lesnar, Kane
Tier 3: Scott Hall, John Cena, Edge, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Triple H
I am taking into account Charisma, Personality, Wrestling ability, In-ring psychology, Mic Skills and fans reactions altogether because being the best at only one skill doesn’t make you the whole package.
My G.O.A.T. is Stone Cold, Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, The Rock or John Cena
Y Hogan dude 😂😂
@@tenzindamdul9208 Hogan made WWE popular
@@tenzindamdul9208 I don't like him either but you can't deny he made wwf popular in the US
my goat is John Cena because he is the one who got me into watching wrestling and that is a lot of biased there but he just my goat, he had some of my fav matches and feuds over the years I cant even name because there is so many.
John cena A) takes no creative risks B) has played the role of a bland babyface for over a decade C) has no 5 star matches to his name D) drove off most of the adult demo that used to watch wrestling up until the early 2000s. Sorry, it’s your opinion....but it’s wrong.
@@Springfeeeel3 you are wrong john is goat
You are right
@@Springfeeeel3 Turning Johm Cena heel would be impossible not only because of the merch sales but also cause he is a good role model for the kids but mostly the merch
@@Springfeeeel3 no 5 star match then you don't know the history of wwe he had a 5 star classic with punk back in 2011 and easily one of the goat
I consider the goat to be someone who can carry any match/storyline they’re in, both in a in ring ability sense, and emotional sense, to the highest degree. For me it comes down to HBK, Kurt angle, Becky lynch, and Roman Reigns. Out of those I would go with HBK a bit more than the others but you can really pick any.
In 2.6k comment's nobody mentioned the name of Batista and everyone knows how much he entertained us he set the trend of big muscular aesthetic body builder type body and probably the greatest world heavyweight champion in the history of WWE
For many including me it's undertaker. No WWE star is popular like undertaker. He is global megastar. He has everything from draw, Match skills, mic, character work everything. East or west dead man is the best.
Well he's not as popular as like the rock
@@jaf1213 I'm saying worldwide not the usa

The rock laughs. Rock is the most popular

The GOAT for me is The Undertaker
W
W
W
For me it's Austin, only problem for him is longevity
my personal goat is the stinger , as a kid he mesmerized me and i was born in 2000 , he had so many phases and classic storylines and matches across the 80s to the present day , i’d also say kurt angle if not sting , but kurt angles legacy speaks for itself
For me , it's Cena
I've always loved him
He was the reason I started to watch wrestling
And he was the one that took WWE to the next level
He had many great rivals such as : Orton, edge, the rock, rvd ,triple h,Shawn Michaels, Batista, brock lesner and many more .
This is a tough one… The greatest all-around package, it’s a toss-up between Flair, Taker and Cena (wrestling, marketability, charisma, longevity)… but if it’s just in-ring work, pure mat work and wrestling: Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart and Kurt Angle.
Cena is my GOAT. He deserves that 17th title and I absolutely loved your video where you passionately describe your admiration for him. I cried tears of joy just listening to how we migh not get to see another one like him during our time.
Greatest Character: Undertaker
Greatest Wrestler: Shawn
Greatest Charisma: The Rock
Greatest OG: Hogan
Most Valuable: Cena/Hogan
The Coolest: Stone Cold/Flair
I agree with all except best wrestler. Shawn may be the best performer, but for WRESTLING it’s out of Bret Hart & Kurt Angle
@@KelpyGesus just on wrestling skills bret is the best but if we include storytelling and psychology in the ring then shawn..
For me, the greatest heel of all time has to be Randy orton by a long shot but all together the goat has to be John cena or undertaker
Taking everything into account. It has to be Hogan! Guy literally brought wrestling into the mainstream. Plus the greatest character reinvention of all time!!! NWO!!!Best heel turn too! It’s him.
I remember my cousin got the payperview and the shock we felt at that heel turn. It was huge! He was the biggest baby face for a long time, telling kids to take their vitamins lol. Fans were so angry they were throwing trash into the ring. It was the ultimate betrayal. And Hogan was such a good bad guy after being the biggest good guy
The Rock is my goat for sure. He was a great talker, funny, intense, and just pure exciting. The fact he was able to be on top on both Hollywood and Wrestling is crazy.
Hulk Hogan for introducing and pioneering, and revolutionizing sports entertainment into Mainstream Conscious and Pop Culture Level. And Shawn Michaels for being the Best in Ring Performer of All Time.
Yeah Hogan got me into wrestling brother! He had a limited move set but when I watched him at Japan he was a totally different person. He was quick and technical. I wish McMahon pushed him to use that style in WWF
My GOAT’s are Taker, Michaels, The Rock, Austin, Cena, & Bret.
You forgot Batista and Triple H.
if your answer is anyone other than the rock, you are heavily misinformed or probably are just saying your favourite. he was so big people watched wrestling just for him. they literally made a whole ‘nother brand/show off of the strength of his catchphrase. his run as champion from nov 98 and onwards put wcw out of business and kickstarted the boom period (highest point) of the attitude era in terms of live gates, ppvs, tv ratings etc etc. it allowed the company not only to have the financial success to launch “smackdown” but to also become a publicly traded company in august 1999, and launch “wwf new york “ in time square in november 1999, and then he had an even bigger 2000 when wwf officially joined nyse in october 2000 and he was getting multi million dollar movie offers since his hosting of snl in march 2000 (which peaked the shows ratings for the season btw) while still a full time professional wrestler. he was bigger in 1999-2000 than hoe-gin was in the 80s and was mopping the floor with austin by every metric by mid 1999, including merchandise sold according to old shop zone web pages/archives from that time period. these facts are irrefutable. no matter how much wwe lies in their propaganda that austin or hoe-gin was bigger. don’t even get me started on cena… he’s not even top 5. the rock is so much better than him that creative had to water the rock down in 2011-13 while allowing cena to go fourth wall. lmfao the rock had the entire locker room shook just off the strength of his charisma and mic presence, never mind his ring placement/psychology. everybody was jealous of him for a reason. shawn and hhh tried to bury him way back in 1997 when bret was still in the company during the new generation era. everyone knew he was going to be the biggest wrestling star ever. the rock is head, shoulders and torso above everyone else. there’s a reason why he is where he is now and none of the others are. he became the goat in 4 years from 1996-2000 and would have done it sooner if the company would have put him in the main event picture sooner than nov 1998.
It's gotta be Stone Cold for me. He doesn't have the longest of peaks but damn his peak literally changed wrestling.
Chris Jericho is my GOAT, he’s been the one constant remaining figure in my 20 years of wrestling fandom. His constancy over such a long period with the sheer diversity of his characters is unmatched. It’s outstanding the magnitude of how many great memorable promos, matches and moments they’ve been over the last 20 years. He has left his fingerprints all over the last two decades. He oozed cool factor and charisma in the early 2000’s, became a believable diabolical heel in the early 2010’s and is still doing top tier promo work in AEW. Dorky heel, charismatic baby face, maniacal heel, funny loveable heel, grizzled veteran face the can man do it all. Name another wrestler that has more iconic and distinctly different runs than Chris Jericho. Iconic unforgettable runs:
1998 in WCW (Dorky heel, conspiracy victim)
1999 to 2001 in WWF (Mega popular face)
2001 to 2002 in WWF/E (Undisputed champ)
2008 to 2010 in WWE(Suitwearing slow talking)
2016 to 2017 in WWE (List of Jericho)
2018 in NJPW (Painmaker/crazy persona)
2019 to 2021 in AEW (Le Champion)
Only casuals and wwe pg era kids will say John Cena.
Chris Jericho is hands-down the G.O.A.T.
