- Putting all the power our MK8 Golf R makes to the ground as effectively as possible is extremely pertinent to its goal. The factory Dogbone mount on these cars leaves a lot of room for movement when the car is under load causing wheel hop and a loss of power the car is able to take advantage of to get it off the line. In this video we alleviate that issue with @unitronic Dogbone mount with the yellow "race" bushing! Follow along as we walk you through how to install a dogbone mount in your MK8 Golf R or MK8 GTI!

When starting the car up. It’s a DSG By the way. When taking off from 1st to 2nd. It does a hard tump right beneath me. Once in a while it does it

A dogbone insert or mount would certainly help that, I imagine its just due to age/milage.

I was reallllly hoping for driving impressions. I have a daily driven RS3 and was considering this very same mount (with yellow puck). There isn't much info or user impressions out there about these mounts, which kinda worries me.
We have had this on our MK8 GTI as well as our R now - made huge improvements and we mentioned that already in the Part 2 of the R series when speaking on this item - this was more just the installation. RS3 owners have loved these and in the groups its been posted about quite a bit. Very low NVH For the amount of help it provides and Uni took their time on this one and it shows.

How's the NVH with this installed?
Hardly noticeable, they certainly spent their time making sure that the impact to daily driving was minimal - low rpm 1st gear is where it would be noticed the most.
