Being an adult isnt so bad. I mean yeah bills are bad, jobs can suck, and getting older past like the age of 30-40 (if you're taking care of yourself if not then past 20 or so) starts to hurt like a bitch.
But would you honestly rather be a kid your entire life? Never knowing independence? Would you really have never had your own family? Your own kids? Would you always want to be going to school day in and day out litteraly doing work for nothing of value out of it?
And hey what about retirement? Your job is over, you have a stable income, your kids have moved out (which might not be a positive depending on who you are but more privacy is always nice)
I get your point, kids have a big dreamy idea of what adults are and it can be annoying to hear "but you can do whatever you want" ten times a day. But honestly, being adult has some serious positives over being a kid.

This video hits so hard because it is so true. Being an adult is so daunting and crushing between all the nonstop bills and responsibilities. Doesn't help that the economy is so bad right now and nothing is affordable. The healthcare system is also flawed on so many levels. It's really nice to have family that I can lean on because otherwise I feel like I'd be homeless or dead. I think it's so tragic how so many people are working multiple jobs just to barely afford to live.

Life doesn’t have to be terrible. Like I’m not rich or anything (I’m middle class) but I’m lucky to be living with my parents and living a comfortable life. Thank god my parents are good to me, because i would not survive on my own. It’s incredibly hard for me to get a job (because I’m neurodivergent and I didn’t go to college or get my GED. I was homeschooled after 5th grade) I also don’t have my license or a car. And there’s no way I’m having kids, not my thing. I’d love to find the one guy for me tho. I am definitely lucky, I just wish society made life easier for everyone. You don’t have to get rid of the stuff you enjoyed as a kid/teen, heck…in my experience it’s actually vital to keep your inner childhood spirit alive…because without it…you’ll forget how to have fun…and be happy. So live your life to the fullest, life doesn’t need to be miserable. Heck…it shouldn’t be miserable, it should be wonderful.
