      @@RyanMolkentin 🙏 . I am graduating from school after 4 months in Uzbekistan. I got into LOYOLA University Chicago, Class of 2028 and awarded with Presidential Scholarship $30,000 per year. Now, I am not sure how much money should I have for additional expenses. Can you give some info about tuition fees for international students. Thanks in advance. ❤‍🔥❤‍🔥❤‍🔥❤‍🔥

    He said you have to live on campus for the first 2 years with exceptions. True; one of the exceptions is attending with a ROTC scholarship.

    Skip the shuttle. There's a CTA train that easily takes you back and forth between the Lake Shore Campus and the Water Tower Campus.

    Typically how many students are in a class?? Also are professors lenient? Do they give extra credit? Do they curve?? Also do the stem students seem stressed?

    How difficult would you say the math classes were? My projected math class is either math 131 or 161, I have problem really being able to execute formulas and understand how to manipulate to fit the problem at hand. I’m planning on studying as much as I can to fix it. Would worried do you think I should be or should I look else where schooling wise?

    • @RyanMolkentin

    Hi Ryan, Loyola Alumnus...class of 1983...yes, 40 years ago. I lived in Mertz Hall for 3 years before getting an apartment one block north of campus. In the early 1980's, many students commuted & didn't live in the dorms. Do all Loyola freshman & sophomores have to live on campus, even if they only live a few miles from campus? Loyola was not a party school in my day either, but you could always find a party if that was a priority for you. Now hit the books!

    • @RyanMolkentin
      @RyanMolkentin  Před rokem +1

      Wow, that's amazing! No commuter students don't have to stay in dorms only out of staters. How's your Loyola degree treated you 40 years later?

    My daughter got accepted and is trying to decide if it's worth getting loans to go to Loyola. The only financial aid information she has received is about loans. She loves the campus and proximity to Chicago. Doesn't love the cost. Any tips on lowering the tuition?

    • @RyanMolkentin
      @RyanMolkentin  Před rokem +5

      Yes absolutely! I know of many people who were in your situation. Loyola is more flexible than you may think. Email Loyola's financial aid office and tell them your situation that you love the school, but that you need slightly more aid if you're daughter is going to attend. In many cases they'll revise your aid and give you more than originally given!

    Hi there Ryan! Just came across your channel; my name is Starry and I graduated from LUC in 2019! I do comedy and I have this great idea to conduct entertaining yet informative interviews with students about their experiences at different college campuses. I'd like to start at Loyola and I assume you are still a current student? I'd be interested in collaborating with you to make the Loyola episode happen! You have a platform I can connect with you privately?

    DePaul is much better than Loyola-Chicago, Loyola Marymount, Loyola New Orleans, and Loyola Maryland. Don’t believe me…then just visit DePaul! You don’t have to take my word for it. Loyolas are all good schools, but they are not at the level of DePaul!
