- Humidity turned Margalef into humid hell, and that was why it was a good idea to escape and visit Patxi Usobiaga who lives in Alt Urgel in Oliana. It was refreshing to meet him again, have a chance to train really hard, and also check out a new crag I have never been to before and that Patxi Usobiga has been developing. Alt Urgel has a lot of potential for climbing, many foreigners have visited Oliana as the most famous crag, but there is much more to be explored.
Patxi also talks about his effort to build the local climbing community in this valley and make the local kids start climbing through his recently opened gym The Temple in Col de Nargo (pucseries.com/el-templo).
Usain Bolter is the project that I tried that day and I wasn't able to finish. But hands down, it is one of the best pitches I have ever tried.
Note: These episodes are a little behind in time, at the moment, the conditions are pretty good in Margalef.🙏

In Czech where Adam is from you normally have first volt in 8-10 meters above the ground. So this is pretty normal for him.
In this case it is not dangerous. But don't try it unless you know what are you doing.

What a goddamn great video. I really loved watching Adam interact with Patxi's kids. But the best moment was 5:36 when I realized that Adam Ondra is climbing behind the beautifully creaky garage door opening. I can't imagine how hard it must be to coach someone above your own capabilities. Probably takes a lot of empathy, creativity and experience.
@@Tondadrd By sheer volume of achievements, I think Adam Ondra has that title, but Megos may well supress him in the future.
@@janapewen362 Volume and variety. Dawn wall, trad in Czech, .. Whenever talk gets about hard stuff, Adam first mentions Megos as a contender. But there are also Ghisolfi and Bouin :)
@@Tondadrd Alex Megos is a fantastic climber... but Adam is kinda in his own league. He has climbed 9c sport as well as 8c off width, and the dawn wall. Like he isnt just incredible in one discipline, and I think that's why he is the "best in the world" because while Megos is incredibly strong in one style of climbing (powerful on small holds) Adam excels in a ton of different styles. Not to be disrespectful to Megos but at this point trying to make a case for anybody being close to the league Ondra is in just doesnt make a lot of sense in my opinion.
