I highly appreciate the fact that your videos with Chris (and guests) are rather raw and authentic than polished. Don’t get me wrong, from time to time I do enjoy some of the other high quality climbing videos from AO, Melow or Jacob Schubert. However, this stuff here is proper climbing that I can easily relate to. Unpolished and honest. Thank you! Keep up the great work!
Thanks a lot! We are trying to work on both, the unpolished and the polished videos. Turns out one of the two is a lot easier to make 😂

I mean this route looks ridiculous
Such a cool gesture to interview the bolter. The route must have been outrageous to even conceive at the time, also it looks like the total king line. Hopefully, I get to the point at which I can attempt the 8b+ next to it - the crag looks like a dream!
The fact that Alex hasn't climbed this one yet, despite multiple attempts and it being at his front door, should really put the level of the route in perspective.
So happy to see this kingline I bolted many years ago finally being tried in a serious and fair manner. Too much poorly chipped lines were created over the years here, with the result of very few future challenges. Time to bring back some of the hardest routes in the world to FJ 💪🏼🤩
If Alex says "maybe an 8 minute hike", you know its EXACTLY 8 minutes.

I'm learning German (and obsessed with climbing) so the Denglish and sprinkling auf Deustch is really useful for me to pick up the language! And it's so nice to see you guys just having fun vs being very polished. Good luck with the beautiful route!

When I was a serious semi pro climber in the early to mid 90's....there was such a MASSIVE rivalry with top climbers. I love how all the top 10 are all friends, support each other and push the sport in a huge positive direction. In the 80's and 90's - it WAS WAYYYYY DIFFERENT......Alex and crew are such awesome "clowns" - love it!...they are the best. Especially the video of the nightmare where Alex has to do leg day forever!!!!......
I'm English and now trying to live in Frankonia. I had some bad news at the Auslaenderamt today and this video with its Denglish has cheered me up a little. Thanks to you guys and good luck from Neustadt Aisch!

Mir persönlich würden die Videos besser auf deutsch gefallen, aber englisch ist wahrscheinlich vorteilhafter - vlt. wäre aber ein ähnlicher Ansatz wie bei den Videos von Adam Ondra interessant, wo zumindest interviews mit Kletterlegenden aus der Region, die vlt auch nicht so fit sind in Englisch, diese auf Deutsch mit Untertiteln zu halten.
Bin Deiner Meinung. Ohne jemandem zu nahe zu treten: das in den Videos gesprochene Englisch ist nicht gut, so dass es mich eher stört. Ich denke, gute Untertitel auf Englisch wären der Sache dienlicher.

Just as a safety precaution I think it’s better to not put a QuickDraw on top of the other one in the ring and use the upper one
A fall could brake it pretty easily
If you double QuickDraws in a bolt use the QuickDraw that’s under to clip the rope it is safer 😊
Maybe in rings it’s not that important but I don’t know maybe just in case ;😊

Ich mag eure Videos immer sehr, aber ich würde mir doch wünschen, dass ihr Deutsch redet und die Videos mit Untertiteln verseht. Man merkt einfach, wie ihr auf Englisch doch immer damit kämpft, die richtigen Wörter zu finden, und auf Deutsch redet ihr so viel entspannter, lustiger und vielfältiger. Ich glaube, es wäre ein Gewinn.
