    Hi Mods, welcome back !
    This video is all about removing and installing the unprecedented Corsa D gear knob. Unlike any normal car Vauxhall decided to go off the wall and chose not to have a screw on Gear knob.
    As baffling as this is, it does make it rather difficult to change if you haven’t seen it done before! So that’s where NOTaMOD comes in. This video details the ins and outs of everything you will need to do to remove and install your gear shifter.

    Having seen you video I tackled mine - as you say horrible fiddly job. I used a bit of gaffer tape to hold the spring mechanism down whilst I forced the collar into place on the gear knob assembly, made it a lot easier.

      @NOTaMOD  Před 3 lety

      Yeahhh it’s just one of those jobs that requires 5 hands 😂😂 and yeah yeah that’s a fair shout I’m hoping to never have to tackle it again but if I do I’ll keep that in mind 👌💪

    It's the same method even for the more recent Corsa F? I would like to change the gear knob and the shift boot.

      @NOTaMOD  Před 2 lety

      In all honestly I’m not sure I do believe the Corsa E is different from the D so I would assume the F would be different again unfortunately!

      Story of my life with essentially every car part on the Plymouth haha ! How did you get on it all buttoned up and working sweet?

  • @h10vlogs
    @h10vlogs Před 3 lety +1

    I did this but my cover opened up when I put the gear into reverse why does this happen

    • @NOTaMOD
      @NOTaMOD  Před 3 lety

      You mean your gator? And not sure what you mean by open up? If you pull it up and there is a slight gap I believe that’s normal but if it’s a big gap I’m not sure what the issue could be 🤔

  • @SONNYG2197

    Can you still get in reverse without the lever on the knob? Does it damage the gearbox or sth??

    • @NOTaMOD
      @NOTaMOD  Před rokem

      I am not sure! I believe the lever releases something on the gear linkage preventing it going in to gear by accident! I don’t think it ties directly into the transmission.

    great video!
    Can you replace it to another completely knob? These original knobs looks like crap..

    • @NOTaMOD
      @NOTaMOD  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Cheers! I believe so! it is strange though as it is a slide on rather then a more common screw on one. definitely possible but hard to find one unless you go for like a VXR one etc...
      God loads of other Corsa content on the channel if you want to check it out!

    Would a Corsa E gear knob fit a Corsa D ?

    • @NOTaMOD
      @NOTaMOD  Před 3 lety

      I mean I don’t see why not as long as it’s the same principle of just slot on and has the groove for the reverse gear lifter! Lemme know how you get on if you do go for it 👌👍
