I'm just realizing how enormous this guy's filmography is.
You mean fantastic
To which Nicholas Cage simply scoffs and says "Rookie!"
You're right
This guy is the greatest actor of all time
To play so many varied roles
That's talent 😂
like to see his movie lol
Does he have an IMDB
“Man Vs. Nature: The Road to Victory” always gets me.
By far my favorite, and easy to use often.
That being the last one of these is a good one to go out on
"Lead paint, delicious but deadly"
“Firecrackers, the silent killer”
For me its "Christmas Ape, and Christmas Ape Goes to Summer Camp"
Troy McClure will be remembered in such places like our hearts and memory
And Dial M for Murderessness!
@@danielwaugh2215: Oh, it's such a sad/funny irony.
So...where is Nordstrom?
The best pairing will always be "Today We Kill. Tomorrow We Die" and "Gladys the Groovy Mule."
"Get confident stupid!"
Both funny and feasible 60s/70s movie titles.
Out with Gout '88.
My favourite Troy McClure intro, of all.
😂😂😂😂😂
"Firecrackers: The Silent Killers" is an all time classic.
Mar10 Agreed
I lolled so hard
Alice’s journey through the windshield is better
@@user-sd7qo7qe4v it's subjective.
Michael Ricardo
What about Lead Paint: DELICIOUS BUT DEADLY
"Get confident, stupid!" was always my favourite!
I also like Alice doesn’t live anymore and mommy what’s wrong with that man’s face? 😂
@Tucker Johnson I like the "Five Fabulous Weeks of the Chevy Chase Show" a lot personally.
Too many to pick:
"Gladys, the Groovy Mule."
"The Wackiest Covered Wagon in the West."
"Lead Paint: Delicious, but Deadly."
"Here Comes the Coast Guard!"
"The Revenge of Abe Lincoln."
"Buck Henderson: Union Buster."
"Troy and Company's Summertime Smile Factory."
"Locker-Room Towel Fight: The Blinding of Larry Driscoll."
“The president’s neck is missing.” and “Alice through the windshield.” are my favorites
@@yeahright9014 Dig your own grave and SAVE!
"Christmas Ape and Christmas Ape Goes to Summer Camp"
Gets me everytime
They are mocking Reagan and the movie “bedtime for Bonzo”
Maybe he went to Australia for Christmas.
@@alwillk The Simpsons liked to parody both sides, Mayor Quimby for example is JFK and his family are the Kennedy's. They have also done Bill Clinton as well, and of course George Bush Sr. I think that was great about The Simpson's was that despite the writing team being Democrat's, they mocked their own side as well. That's the whole point of satire, to have a laugh at everything, including yourself.
With less successful followups such as “Christmas Ape goes to Africa” and “The Problem with Christmas Ape”.
@@alwillk I assume it's both Bonzo and Jim Varney's Ernest series, specifically "Ernest Goes to Camp"
"THE PRESIDENT'S NECK IS MISSING"
+boo boo booey Sounds like the story about President Taft.
+Giovanni Magnus Heh heh. Taft, you old dog.
Hey, it's a glandular problem!
I wonder if that actually happens in today's presidency
@@MiXVoy i wanna see this the most
You gotta hand it to the guy, he never turns down a gig, no matter how obscure or ridiculous. There's no level he's not willing to stoop to.
The man's an inspiration.
we could all learn a lesson
Christopher Walken and Danny Trejo have similar “I never say no to a job” energy.
I would say Samuel L. Jackson. He’s in everything.
Hmmm soooo Nicolas Cage?
I like to imagine he gives 110% to every role even when he’s in a shitty direct-to-DVD movie, he just seems like a dedicated working actor
Troy McClure was to appear in season 6's "A Star is Burns," where he'd introduce himself with "You may remember me from such films as 'Hitler Doesn't Live Here Anymore' and 'It's a Wonderful Belt'." Though his appearance was ultimately cut from the episode, Phil Hartman still recorded that line, and they used it for the Playmates "World of Springfield" Troy McClure figure in 2002.
Surprised they got away with selling an action figure that says Hitler
@@SnargGloof before cancel culture
How nice of them to withhold using that voice line until they had something they wanted to sell with it 🙄
Season 6, the only season were Troy didnt introdued himself.
So they could have given him one last credit, but instead threw it away. Classy.
These are so clever.
"Man vs Nature: The Road to Victory"
Piscaso "Buck Henderson: Union Buster"!
and dial M for murderessness!
That gets me every time.
“Firecrackers: The Silent Killer”
"Andre the Giant, We Hardly Knew Ye"
“Get confident, stupid” really turned my life around.
Great motivational series!
with in the simpsons universe troy McClure must have one hell of an imdb page.
And if IMDb still has forums in the Simpsons universe, many threads discussing his...well, interest in fishes.
"Alice's adventure trough the windshielglass!"
+Pyry Puustinen That one still makes me laugh.
pittland44 same here
Way better than Tim Burton's Alice: Through the Looking Glass
That last one wasn't from Tim Burton.
Not to mention "Alice Doesn't Live Anymore." Poor Alice gets it rough.
RIP PHIL HARTMAN! I always liked his voice and personality! What a tragic way to die.
🙌🙌
How’d he die
his wife shot him.
BEST VOICE ON SIMPSONS
Yep, she shot him and then killed herself. With their two young children in the house. She was known to have a wicked temper; he was rumored to be cheating. Not cool but obviously not deserving of a death sentence.
"Alice Doesn't Live Anymore"
"Alice's Advetures Through the Windshield Glass"
Were my favorites.
both of them were better than Tim Burton's Alice movies
+Mixey Boy 500% true.
"Mommy, What's Wrong with That Man's Face?" was my fave.
betoen the movie Scorsese doesn't want you too see
"Lead Paint: Delicious but Deadly"
Lead paint delicious but deadly...lmao
that one is my fav
BUT PROTO!! ...
Sweet, sweet lead paint 🍭🍭🍭
Mmmmm.....lead paint...
The Romans drank wine from lead cups to make it sweeter, so maybe he's right.
"2 minus 3 equals negative fun!" and "Get confident, stupid!" are definitely my favorites.
Nicolas Metts "5 fabulous weeks of the Chevvy Chase show"!
Nicolas Metts "André the giant we hardly knew ye' "!
R.I.P Phil Hartman. Troy McClure may not have been the center of the Simpsons, but he helped made it great! What a legend!
RIP Phil Hartman. We will always remember you from such programs as NewsRadio and Saturday Night Live.
Don't forget such movies as Jingle all the way, and Houseguest
"Lead Paint: Delicious But Deadly"
That one is my favorite too. Had a landlord that confirmed that years ago too. When one of my roommates commented to the guy that he heard lead paint tasted good. The landlord replied very matter a fact "..it's sweet" Like he had tried it at one point in his life..lol.
@@annabellemeyer782 In Roman times, lead was sometimes used as a sweetener
"Lead Paint; Delicious But Deadly." Love that one hahahaha
Mmmmm...lead paint...
Hahaha someone drank paint in my primary school before. Just enough for it to be funny but thankfully not enough to be deadly 🤣🤣🤣 think he just felt a bit Ill then puked it up
@@conorsmith8551 That would have been water-based Poster Paint, still not a great idea but at least he was okay and bet he won't think of doing it again.
My brain suddenly hurts when he says "P is for Psycho".
With a silent 'p'
“P: The Silent Killer”
@@classicalhero7 It's silent the way we adapted it in to English, but in the original Greek, the pitchfork-shaped letter PSI has a distinct sound from a stand-alone s that represents sigma, and it sounds both the p and s together.
It's like the word tsunami. We aren't accustomed to that pile-up of consonants, so we think it has a silent t. But it really doesn't in Japanese.
You might remember me from the times when the Simpsons were funny.
oh my god, zing
tbh, I think parts of the new Simpsons are much better than 2000s simpsons as they dropped the 'Homer as Jerk of the week' episodes.
ZTTHRUG LOL! Good one.
@Dak Lamerbusch ah yes, because the first rule of comedy is a comeback has to drag on far too long to be relevant and copy the guy who did it first instead of thinking your own wit. such classics
@Dak Lamerbusch Woah, calm down
"Man Vs. Nature: The Road To Victory" is my all-time favorite
Oh I just got that
The Simpsons writers were so brillant back in the 90's. For example: just the title "Alice's Adventures Through The Windshield Glass" is so hilarious and mean at the same time 😂
It even has a sequel, "Alice Doesn't Live Anymore".
It’s my favorite one
Today we kill, tomorrow we die. I want to see that movie.
+Lee Waller That's actually probably the most baddass movie title ever
+Lee Waller
I think I'd expect Rainier Wolfcastle to star in it, instead of Troy McClure.
+Lee Waller pretty sure they called that "300"
Oh yeah, your right.
It's a real movie. A spaghetti western.
'Christmas Ape Goes to Summer Camp' sounds like a winner
“Bedtime for Bonzo”
The Erotic Adventures of Hercules:
"Hercules, the Cyclops tore off my clothes!"
"Hahahahaha!"
When Phil Hartman died and TroyMcclure had to be cut off the show the magic went with him
He was going to be Zapp Brannigan in Futurama too, which is why Billy West ended up doing the voice the way Hartman would've done it as a sort of tribute.
Yeah I agree it's just not Simpsons without Troy McClure or just Phil Hartman for that matter
We must move on.
And Lionel Hutz
Season 2-10 were the best
1 was mediocre in my opinion
11 had some classics like E I E I (Annoyed Grunt) and little big mom
"Designated Drivers: The Life-Saving Nerds" will always be my favorite.
RIP Phil Hartman taken far too soon, hearing these in order it brought a smile that they saved one of the best for last with "Man vs Nature: The Road to Victory"
"Designated Drivers, The Life Saving Nerds". These are so hilarious, i never understood these jokes when i when i was young.
Phil Hartman's voice and charisma were so great I could listen to him announce almost anything whether it was funny or not. What a legend.
What about, "They Came To Burgle Carnegie Hall" and "The Greatest Story Ever Hula-d"
yeah shattered it's not there, had it, but obviously deleted it by accident whilst editing :(
glad you went through to point out any error possible though haha
+Torrent This TV Haha sorry, I feel bad for nitpicking now, even though the video as it is, is absolutely amazing! With or without the two I mentioned, it's still just about my favourite Simpson's Compilation I've seen....keep up the great work guys! 😉
+Ian Lowry Cheers Ian!
+Ian Lowry Came to Burgle Carnegie Hall was my favorite. I think both of those were from the clip show, possibly why they were missed.
It's a shame they never completed the trilogy with Christmas Ape Goes Hawaiian.
Troy never turned down an opportunity to earn a check. Gotta respect the hustle
“The boatjacking of Supership ‘79” is absolutely amazing and sounds like something poor, poor NBC actually would have tried
I mean they did air Supertrain so it’s possible
"Guys I have a plan. I saw this in a movie about a ship that had to speed around the ocean, keeping its speed over fifty knots, and if its speed dropped, it would explode! It was called 'The Boatjacking of Supership '79'".
"Smoke yourself thin and get confident stupid!" Simpsons gold right there.
The woman who killed Phil Hartman is one of the few people I truly hate.
She's dead. She kill herself after killing Troy... I mean, Phil.
I agree. Bitch.
she did him a favour, it meant that he didn't have to appear in the later simpsons episodes
Personally I don't think later Simpsons is that bad, but even so I think he still would've been as good as he always was and maybe even somewhat improved the show.
***** i'm sure he would have contributed something, but an actor is nothing without a script. if you don't believe me, watch robert de niro being interviewed.
Every one of these is clever and perfect, but the way he said "Phony Tornado Alarms Reduce Readiness" always killed me
Thanks for everything Troy. "Mothballing Your Battleship" alone saved me thousands.
No one ever said it during the show, but you all might remember Troy McClure from such a film as "Good-Time Slim, Uncle Doobie, and the Great Frisco Freakout".
R.I.P. Phil Hartman.
there's now an entire generation that grew up watching "The Simpsons" & has no idea who Troy McClure is.
I don't think so. I feel like the old seasons are still more popular than the new ones.
@@Ratchet2431 The older episodes are almost never televised though.
@@oisinmaccumhaill7037 If you have a subscription to Disney + the entire series is on there, as long as they are not censored of course . TBH you might as well buy the entire series on DVD [ any classic series, as most gets editted for language etc and it totally spoils the programme ] certainly up to series 14 as a) It will be without adverts and b) uncut, after that the series is crap and now that the actors are older now, the voices sound terrible. Give me the classic episodes until about 2008. Today's writers don't know satire if it bit them on the bum [ like Santa's Little Helper in Bart Sells His Soul - which is one of my sisters favs from Season 7 ]. The whole concept of The Simpsons was stereotyping and that's something that today's PC brigade is against, so taking that out - totally ruins the entire show.
What a tragedy. I’ve always heard nothing but glowing praise about Phil and how he was a genuinely kind man.
pretty sure everyone's fav is "Get Confident, Stupid!"
It's certainly a classic. My favorite is "The President's Neck is Missing."
tony palombini jr hahaha... the Simpsons used to be so clever and watchable. Oh well, I still enjoy SP, a show that's only gotten better, funnier, and smarter thru the years, Trey and Matt are heroes.
My favorite is "Here Comes the Coast Guard!" It always struck me as just flat-out hilarious.
Lol I love "mothballing your battleship"
And "Alice's adventures through the windshield glass"

WildWoomy a damn hero
Didnt he have a cameo part in "My Trouser Press Pleads The 5th Amendment".
Correct me if im wrong
After Mannix, spinoff of an actual 70s buddy cop show title character Mannix fyi
Looking into Mannix, the pun behind a sequel series is the show was still running strong thru 8 seasons and Season 8 finale wasn't set up for sendinging off and network abruptly decided to cancel show leaving so many story arcs hanging irritating loyal watchers.
Shemp Howard, not "Shem Powers". What are you, culturally illiterate?
I miss Phil Hartman.
Maritime Retro Massacre We all do😇
You might remember me from such self-help films as "Smoke Yourself Thin" and "Get Confident, Stupid!"
"I'M GOING TO SEAWORLD!" He's one of those actors I still quote with my brothers. RIP 🐳🐋🐟🐠🐡🐙🐚🐬
Oh sure the OED will add "selfie" and "yolo" but year after year, they refuse to add "murderousness"?
Embiggens. Cromulent.
I was just looking up Phil Hartman. That guy surely had a gift. He died when I was eight. If he was still alive, he would probably be one of my favorite comedians. Rest In Peace.
He died three weeks after I turned 9
Gladys the groovy mule.
Whenever I'm in the mood to watch a film from the "Golden Age" of Hollywood I always put on one of Troy's MANY classics!

Chevy Chase had a late night talk show in the early 90s
@@kiwibrozane Which was so bad that it was canceled after just a few weeks ....
Thank you, for finishing my sentence.
Rest in peace, Phil Hartman! Troy McClure was definitely an underrated character.
“The Revenge of Abe Lincoln” actually seems like an awesome idea for a horror movie.
you may also remember me from Virtual Springfield for windows 95
'Alice through the windshield glass' 10/10

'The Erotic Adventures of Hercules' is certainly my favourite of the bunch.

I read somewhere that Phil Hartman loved the character so much he actually wanted to do a Troy McClure live action movie. True or not hat would have been AWESOME!
Man we all really got cheated when Phil's psycho wife took him from us

Out of all of them, the one I remember most is Gladys the Groovy Mule
".. And 'Man vs. Nature: The Road to Victory''"
That one always cracks me up! 😂
“The President’s Neck is Missing” has to be my favourite
"Alice's adventures through the windshield glass." The kind of edgy humor that shaped me into the mentally sound person I am, today!
My headcanon is that Troy McClure is a direct ancestor of Zapp Brannigan.
Alice doesn't live anymore, she had one too many adventures through the windshield glass
"Alice's adventures through the windshield glass" had me in tears 😂 God the writers for this show were on another wavelength !

0:53 One of my favorite Yo La Tengo songs :)
yeah, why do they reference it in the Simpsons, I'm confused. Or did yo la tengo reference the Simpsons?
The band named a whole series of old instrumentals after the Troy McClure filmography, but this one actually stuck after they put lyrics to it. If you listen to the song, it's about Frankie Valli burning down Tony Orlando's house over a woman named Dawn.
I remember seeing him in “mommy, what’s wrong with that man’s face?” Such a brilliant performance 😢
"The Elephant Man" was a lame ripoff.
0:56 "Get confidence stupid" -Troy McClure
