The late Burt Reynolds was a college RB for the Florida State Seminoles. In his Freshman season he ran for 134 yards and 2 TD's on 16 carries. Not too shabby Burt! Unfortunately a knee injury cut his career short. Good thing he had acting to fall back on. RIP Burt Reynolds.
Dinah Shore said a story on Merv Griffin show where she and Burt were eating at a restaurant and they saw this guy harrassing an old actor Mantan Moreland. Burt knew him from Dinah at many of Jack Bennys parties. Burt got up went over to Mantans table sat down and laughed along with this slug. Burt then slammed the guys head down on the table and he went to the floor out cold. Calmly he escorted Mantan to there table and the three continued there meals.
actually the promo pictures had "mean machine" on the front of the jerseys, and in some places was advertised as "the mean machine movie" with burt reynolds!!
This is really good! Too bad the ending of it had to be ruined and smells like 30 day old dog shit in an airtight container with the feature of the terrible remake. How dare they put both into one feature!

There was also an Egyptian version from 2015 called "Captain Masr," where they played soccer..
