Thank you for this awesome tutorial. It worked fine for me. I installed the Big Sur on my 6 years old Dell i5 laptop. Speed is good while working Final cut pro or Premiere pro. But i also like to point out 2 main issues here. My external monitor display colors are washed out. even after copying proper display icc profile. No issues with HDMi cable which i am 200% sure. Then, the 2nd issue was no audio. However Mac os was still useful to me few things. Thank you!

Absolutely perfect tutorial, works like a charm! One addition, maybe I missed it, but you have to make sure your USB drive is an MBR disk and not configured as GPT, then it won't boot from EFI folder. It took me a while to figure out why it was not booting and then I noticed my drive was configured as GPT disk. Converted it to MBR disk and then this tutorial works like a charm! :) Thanks a ton!

@@NETVN82 hi I tried this, but it get stuck at less than One minute remain I wait like 2hrs then I decided reboot my computer and now it's just rebooting and rebooting, don't know if it's the EFI folder issue because it doesn't look same as yours I see _Macosx folder and another EFI folder inside and next to that Mac folder with same EFI name I don't know which one is the correct I have used the files that aren't inside _MacOSX folder could you clarify which ones are correct because your tutorial you just have the files directly and mine like I said have more folders

@[Fortnite Vidéos Épiques] no you are wrong, DGPU means, that the pc or laptop has a dedicated graphic card.. so before installing macOS, when it comes to download the EFI folders, you need to confirm that is your mother board containing a dedicated graphic card or it has IGPU / integrated graphics... if you have a dedicated gpu, then download the DGPU.
@@saikatroy797so when my laptop gets into the installer (right before the Apple logo) the GPU has a mental breakdown and the screen goes white like glitchy and stuff. Would this be the reason why it does that? (I don’t have the dgpu files)

If you have an intel graphics card it will use it instead of nVidia card at a laptop

I was able to install with no issues to my Lenovo X280, and it works like a charm.
I only have one issue and one question:
1) Issue: After installation I am missing SOUND and BATTERY indicator. How could I fix that?
2) Question: Is it possible/safe upgrading from Big Sur to Monterey using macOS Software Update? It indicates Monterey as Software Upgrade.

@@SpnBer104 Thanks, I was able to find a much better EFI, very specific for my Lenovo Intel-I7 processor , so I reinstalled the whole thing from scratch and now all services, including battery indicator and volume control work fine. This is on latest Monterey version under OpenCore.

Mac os has badder performance(in programs and games) than windows, but it's stable(if you using windows you know)
On my observations, it does affect the performance, it runs perfectly fine and I saw a drastic change on battery life. It lasts so much longer and doesn't heat up too much and with that being said, I haven't even changed or cleaned my laptop yet. I'm planning to, so there would be no heat coming off the laptop. Clean laptop + Mac = cool, simple, elegant.

My Lenovo t460s has the same issue as the integrated touchpad. I solved it with an external USB mouse.
You need an external keyboard and mouse.
My laptop have a Tiger Lake Processor , and there's no such thing as Tiger Lake in the EFI files you provided.

The problem is the EFI is configured for your laptop only. Other laptop brand must reconfigure from the ground up. The installation is easy, but the post-installation is tough as hell (kext, acpi,…) I spent 3 months just to config my macOS

I do rarely comment but yeah thanks for the theme. For those who wish to do this macOS theme, this is just my opinion, it would be better if you do not try to install this on your own (school/work) laptop as it can really drain your battery and some software may not work (ex. camera, sound).
This fool showed the worst way to run Big Sur go with VMware
You can run VMware off a USB drive or external drive and you need 120gb 40 for VM and 80gb for MAC..... Way better way safe and you still run windows or any other software
The thing is that most people thinks that installing a Hackintosh is like making a Windows / Linux install, if you do the workaround and make it correctly your system will run just like an actual Mac. So sound, battery draining, and that stuff doesn't happen if you dedicate yourself to build a good EFI.
@@DR-gc4on Brother Sorry doesn't meant to offend, but I have tried to install 3 OS (Ubuntu,MacOS ,Kali) in VM WARE 16 PRO version with license key (cracked one) and my system was so laggy.(My Main OS was windows and on top of that I have installed all that 3 by VM vare 16 pro). Sys. Config : i5 8th gen ,8GB, 8core processor,256 SSD. VM vare is just a docker version of container(runs as user thread) and this guy running system as system thread(with direct processor power) it's big diff. in terms of speed and performance.

I have tried the tutorial on two different laptops. Both boot fine with EFI. Once I start installing the OS, it says ""An internet connection is required"", whereas i already have connected internet LAN to the laptop. Any solutions?

this video should be titles how to install malware and give hackers access to a PC or Laptop. from a security perspective you should never follow this tutorial! Their are real ways of doing this. This tutorial however is showing how to download and install hacked software that you just have to trust someone scripted and made out of the goodness of there heart. good luck.

I tried to follow all of the steps but ran into a couple of hiccups. #1. After extracting the EFI folder, the folder contains two folders, one labeled "_MACOSX" and the other "EFI OPENCORE LAPTOP KABYLAKE-R." Does it matter which folder I copy over to the USB drive? Or do I copy over both? #2: No matter which folder I copy over, my HP Pavilion laptop does not show the USB drive in the boot menu. It only gives me the option of "OS Boot Manager (UEFI) - Windows Boot Manager" and "Boot from EFI File." When I click the first option, it just boots up regular windows. When I click the second option, it takes me to a bunch of different filepaths. Not really sure where to go from here.

Check your bios settings, boot mode set to UEFI with legacy OPROM, boot from USB, secure boot off! Good luck
I als noticed this issue in his video, so you have to copy only this one : EFI OPENCORE LAPTOP KABYLAKE-R and rename it to EFI... its inside the original folder with MACOSX. take it out and copy to usb... my HP Zbook booted fine.

I'm very curious why my entire installation GUI is in Russian language... Fortunately I've installed macOS plenty of times, and I know which buttons to press when 😂
Because OpenCore hack is originated from Russia and perhaps some setting require to be changed.
Questions:
1) Does this work on Windows 10?
2) Do you need the program to check your EFI type or can you just look it up online?
3) How much RAM is recommended?
4) What do you do if your computer doesn't have ethernet?
5) Can you back up your files on Windows to a removable drive and copy them again to MacOS?
6) Are you required to disable secure boot?
7) Is there any way to revert your changes?
8) Will MacOS always assume you are using the same type of computer?

Eventually hackintosh *might* no longer work because soon, intel based Macs will lose support meaning the newer macOS versions will only support ARM-based MacBooks (M1 and M2) which means you can't install the latest macOS on intel or amd machines. This is just my theory though so I could def be wrong.

Awesome tutorial, but I've many problem while using MacOS. First I can't change display brightness, although it's displayed my iGPU name. Second, there was no audio. I tried to instal kext for my realtek audio card, but it doesn't work. Tks so much!
