Jalen and Cam are the same age, and Cam has the better numbers on the year; they are both still young and can grow their games. So, at this point, I'm not dead set on the idea that the Nets need to make a SG change from Cam to Jalen. To me, it would've been adding another player that they already have in Cam; and their picks back, to which we don't have any idea on which picks they were. It doesn't seem like the front office plans for our picks to be any good when it matters (i.e. 2025). Nets fans are frustrated right now, because most of us (not including me) can't handle a throwaway season and wait until we make more moves in the offseason and then get off of Ben Simmon's contract; it may end up being 2 years before the first retool is complete. I'm not saying that the front office has it put together, but I'm also willing to be patient instead of dumping everything now. I don't anticipate that we will be a contender anytime soon, but we may still be able to get to a playoff seed and win 45+ games each season. Sometimes, we have to appreciate a quality team instead of vying for ring culture. That doesn't go to say that I don't want them to win a ring (or more), but the front office clearly wants to make a regular season team that wins vs. being a contender by making win-now moves (or going full rebuild). Does this stink? Of course it does, but this is also something that is needed to build up a culture so that we can make moves to become a contender, or we can rebuild with a better foundation compared to what we have now. We will likely have to go through 2-3 classes of Nets teams before we can actually look at ourselves as contenders again. Right now, we're in Class 1. Let's be patient and see what Classes 2 and 3 become and appreciate the progress we make as the future plays out.
would this necessarily make the Nets a better team though? Like the Roster is so good yes because of Jalen’s recent play, but they also have a really well-built roster around him with other young guys & vets. Our Brooklyn roster is just a mess right now
All respect to Mikal as he’s a great 3&D player for a playoff team. Mikal in his current form with the Nets is what Andre Iguodala was to the Sixers over fifteen years ago. Teams cannot place complimentary players in main roles and expect them to lead the team to wins. Who will come to the Nets featuring Mikal Bridges as the main piece? Nobody!!! The Nets need to get a better direction to their future. Find a more qualified GM who will do right by the franchise and get some assets to build their future.
Mikal bridges has been one of my favorite players and as a nets fan the fact hes on the team is great but even i would have traded him without any hesitation. Absolutely comical
Yeah that Bridges trade is probably done from a Rockets standpoint. The Nets blew it. Now the Rockets will simply get the Nets picks for the next few years while already being a better team
The opinion voiced in this video is dependent on Bridges playing below expectations and Green playing above expectations. When the offer was made, perhaps that was not the case.
Even without thinking about the 2 players why would you not get your picks back for a player who is a 3rd or 4th option on a contending team and number 1 on a bad one ?
This trade had to be for rockets pick swaps... otherwise the nets would have taken this trade. NO WAY the rockets makes this trade after Jalen Green performance recently. JG basically went straight to the pro's he's super young. The Rockets would be dumb as h*ll to trade someone with his talent level. He is by far the best young scorer in his class. I honestly think this would be like trading a young Kobe or DWade. If JG figures things out he will be DEADLY.
Why does Sean Marks forget that the only reason they lucked their way into Kyrie and KD was because the Knicks were a complete dumpster fire? Nobody is going to play for the nets, especially to play alongside Bridges, who, at best, is a 3rd option on a playoff squad
The Nets had their chance. I don't think Houston views Jaylen Green as trade bait anymore. I expect them to trade the pick they get from the Nets to get a power forward unless the pick moves up in the lottery. The Nets are a dumpster fire. I feel for you guys because it's going to be awhile before the Nets are relavant. and NO I don't think any star players will be blowing up their agent's phone with request to be traded to the Nets because they want to play with Bridges
No way the rockets trade jalen for bridges now. Jalen was playing horrible at that time. It took time patience and coaching but he's gettin it together now. Whytf would Houston circle back in the offseason and trade Jalen for Bridges? 😂 if they give Bridges and 3 more additional years of draft compensation beyond the Harden compensation 😂 but no, thats still not good enough. Houston is giving Jalen the max, dont sweat it
They can’t all their draft picks belong to the Houston Rockets so even if they do suck their pics, would just be swapped that’s why they are so stupid for not taking that trade and honestly the Rockets might just finesse them getting bridges back and not having to trade Green
I immediately stop watching when he said The Nets need a Creator which they do and think Jalen Green could be that guy but diminish the idea that Cam Thomas isn't as if neither one of those guys is actively creating shots for others, they are 2 guards who are shoot first BUT the difference is, Jalen Green has had 3 seasons to learn to be a better Passers meanwhile Cam being drafted onto a title contender playing behind JAMES HARDEN AND KYRIE IRVING! He's only NOW getting that opportunity that Jalen has been getting since October 2021. Cam Thomas has shown improvement in being a player-maker since Kevin Ollie has taken over and made it an objective to put the ball in his hands. As also a Nets fans I was pro-rebuild but Im not crying we didn't get Jalen Green, for me, its Not Jalen Green vs Mikal Bridges its getting the chance to draft Copper Flagg and The Rockets were NEVER giving us that chance, they were NEVER gonna give us the 2025 Swap back.

I was hoping u wouldn't cover this... It's nothing but pain as a net's fan...
Nets could have had jalen green and possibly cooper flagg but nah they chose MIKAL BRIDGES 😂😂😂😂
Ya that's crazy if you could get jalen green plus all your firsts back when you are clearly not going to win games....omg. they got their own great picks back since they are shitty plus have so many picks from others.
This is a pretty epic fail.
Naw that boat has sailed.. JG is giving no reason to be moved
#3 picks + Jalen green
Can I imagine Brooklyn nets 🤣
Complementary pieces to attract stars? 😂😂😂😂LMAO. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT.
There’s no way the rockets ship a bunch of assets and Jalen for Bridges now
The nets should be the team that moves
This would be silly for Houston. Green is really starting to come into his own. He’s better than Bridges right this second
No way the rockets trade jalen for bridges now. Jalen was playing horrible at that time. It took time patience and coaching but he's gettin it together now. This offseason and 4th yr jalen should be crazy. I would of took that trade for jalen, the talent always been there and flashed. Its just finally coming together now. Poor nets.
Yeah, the Mikhail bridge is things not happening for Houston maybe if they want to trade for Vanvleet and their pics back but they are truly fucked ,green is not on the table anymore 😂
The nets lost 3 stars in one year. Not attractive at all.
Mikail bridges cam thomas for aaron holiday jaesean tate and your 1st round pick back
and cheddar
I mean two can Thomass playing together? Doesn’t sound like a good idea
OKC has like a million Williams
@@J10005 I’m talking about jalen green with cam thomas lol they’re both basically the same player… pure scorer and barely any def…
i been commited for 12 years so basically half of my life but at this point i only watch cameron thomas game highlights i just can`t with this front office anymore
teams are so impatient these days, Jalen Green needs time to mature, he will be the next Kobe, trust me
Did we not been hear this rumor or am i tweaking?
Nobody wanted Jalen green last yr, so I’m sorry it’s not only Brooklyn that made that mistake any team could have offered Houston a veteran player could have probably got him
Whytf would Houston circle back in the offseason and trade Jalen for Bridges? 😂 if they give Bridges and 3 more additional years of draft compensation beyond the Harden compensation 😂 but no, thats still not good enough. Houston is giving Jalen the max, dont sweat it
Rockets trading green and multiple first. For bridges.. seriously houston??. Lmao
Nets need to blow it up and trade for draft capital!
They can’t all their draft picks belong to the Houston Rockets so even if they do suck their pics, would just be swapped that’s why they are so stupid for not taking that trade and honestly the Rockets might just finesse them getting bridges back and not having to trade Green
Mikal isnt a first option. Hes Khris Middleton 2.0
This is all speculation, dont believe that offer was ever on the table
Wait this whole time bridges was their “center piece” lmao. Bruh is just better khris middleton💀
Bro I like your videos but 8 min each 😂 come on
Poverty Franchise
If this is true then Stone is stupid for wanting to do this trade and Marks is stupid for not accepting this trade
Jalen Green and Cam Thomas would've been the new Steph and Klay.
The ISO brothers😂😂 42% from the field 32% from 3
Why are people so obsessed with SG's with terrible efficiency and low effort Defense?
