@@rgncal4872 nets should be selling but the stock of every player goes down with every loss. Maybe it’s a bit early but I’d call it quits in Mikal as a first option ever and just say he’s most valuable on a contender. He’s a bit younger and on a longer contract than Pascal Siakim so I don’t think it’s crazy to say the Nets could get a slightly better return for Mikal than the Raps got for Siakim.

As a Nets fan, let me tell you, this team has the talent to be .500, but Vaughn is arguably a worse coach than Monty Williams. His defensive system is making Claxton, Bridges, Johnson, & DFS look like liabilities out there, he's afraid to bench veterans because of politics, and it's causing the whole team to suffer. He hates Cam Thomas, and will actively find a way to bash him any chance he can get and has a very short leash with him. As for Bridges, Nets fans are slowly starting to hate him, mainly because Vaughn treats him like a god when he's not that much better than Cam Thomas. You can't say he's a better defender because as someone who's watched every Nets game, Bridges has been a negative defender this season (partially because of the scheme and his load on offense). Myself and a large portion of the fanbase wants to rebuild and sell these assets, however there are some fans who don't want to do it because we don't own our picks and they wanna trade for win now player because they don't wanna look bad when it comes to those Rockets picks. The organization has decided to not rebuild because they're worried about the optics and ticket sales. Frankly, the entire fanbase is miserable and we all universally agree we're screwed.

Brooklyn WILL lose to Detroit in their next and last 2 meetings. I can see that happening for real. I'm proud to be a SPURS fan as of Sunday Night, January 7th.

I’m a Sixers fan so you probably know more than me but I feel like Brooklyn are really close to contending. If they could flip Ben Simmon’s salary, Cam Thomas and picks for a legit star, they could be kinda nice in the east.
The last loss against Portland like 10 days ago Dinwiddie hardly played the second half and was visibly upset about it. Last night they let him play the 4th and he makes a crucial defensive mistake that cost them the game 😂

Houston also has rights to swap picks with Brooklyn in 2025 and 2027 and have Brooklyn's first round pick in 2026 as well. Basically, the Nets need to be mid at worst (i.e. reach the play-in tournament) for this season and the next 3 in order to not give away a Top 10 pick to the Rockets.
As a Nets fan I’m tired of people disrespecting Mikal but blaming Jacque Vaughn for Cam Thomas playing bad both players are way better than what they’ve been showing lately the issue is the offense has no structure so it’s a glorified pick up game vs a NBA team our players are going to struggle because we don’t have a scheme

I'm Proud to be a SPURS fan as of Sunday, January 7th, 2024. 11 years of being a Nets fan has led to nothing but complete BETRAYAL. Even many of my friends in Michigan hate this team as this point. The Nets have NO bright future at all. It all started with the inauspicious Garnett-Pierce bait package trade that happened in Summer 2013. The Kyrie-KD-Harden era was also an absolute JOKE. Not to mention I CAN see the Nets even losing to the worst-record Pistons for the next meetings between Brooklyn and Detroit. As a Spurs fan, I can see this squad developing a superteam only through their young players, not by always changing the roster. The Spurs may not be a playoff contender for this year, but maybe will get close to a playoff-contender kind by late season. Wemby and Sochan are my favorite dudes. What I have been sharing about on my Strava runs has mostly lately been about Sochan (who is lol my Strava profile pic, where he attempts a one-handed free throw) and the Spurs, meaning that becoming a Spurs fan has been something I have been PREPARING for for months now. The night when Brooklyn decides to blow up their lead against the Anferee Simons and the Portland Trail Blazers was the ULTIMATE MOMENT I officially changed teams. I say this again, the Nets have NO FUTURE at ALL. The Spurs, under Victor Wembanyama, Jeremy Sochan, Doug McDermott, and all the other young players on that roster, do. They will eventually transition from mediocre to playoff-contender to maybe even championship-contenders. GO SPURS!

They don’t really have much of great picks coming for them. Don’t expect PHX nor DAL tanking and they’ll be play in team since they have many asset to sell off to get decent player back if their roster don’t work out in couple years
They need to accept sunk cost in terms of the rockets picks and blow it up. Everyone who isnt on a rookie contract needs to be traded. Maybe keep claxton. But bridges, johnson, royce oneal, dfs, dinwiddie, lonnie walker all need to be traded. But as a nets fan nothing really changes until we fire GM sean marks. He's personally attached to certain players and coaches and is unfortunately never going to have the guts to blow this team up

Big questions for the Nets fans. Would you take Evan Mobley for Mikal Bridges? Move Claxton out the Center position and insert Mobley in. In exchange Cleveland will have their three and D wing to line up with Allen , Strus Mitchell and Garland. With Levert as your Sixth man.

I think people knew the Nets weren't gonna be very good this season. They were sub .500 last season after trading KD and Kyrie and the they lost their shooters in the offseason (Yuta, Patty Mills, Joe Harris).

If the Nets trade for Murray, he'd be sent to a slightly worse situation than he is in right now. I like Murray, but he's not a #1 option anywhere. The Hawks overspent for him.

OKC should call up Brooklyn and inquire about a trade for bridges or Johnson. Like maybe they can offload giddey and Mann and a ton of picks, get one of those guys and maybe sharpe to be a solid backup big. Could potentially push them over the edge come playoff time
Bridges is very good but very similar to Williams. Johnson would be an excellent get for OKC, and wouldn't cost much in resources. What would be even better would be to poach Claxton or Sharpe. They need some beef up front come playoffs.

Kuminga has ben playing a lot lately not because he likes him but because he is starting to become very good and Kerr has no choice but to play him and in my opinion he should be untouchable. And Moody unless he plays like an all star Kerr won't play him so I thiny we should trade him.

This was pretty predictable. Bridges is really good but he's not a primary ballhandler. I like some of their frontcourt--Sharpe looks like a guy who could really catch on with more minutes--but Brooklyn may well have the worst backcourt rotation in the league. A palyoff team would not want any of their guards if they played for free. It's too many of the wrong guys taking the wrong shot at the wrong time.
