Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. Come hang out, it's a good time.

I was at the beach and a girl was filming herself doing exercises, well tricky exercises. Anyway the way the camera was angled when she watched the clip back it had caught me and my service dog in the film as well. She was only young but she came over ever so politely and explained what had happened and asked me if I had a problem with being in the background, I told her no but if I had said yes I fully believe she would not have used that footage. Now this was in a public park mind you so she was under no obligation to even ask me, her respect was something to be praised as not many ‘influencers’ have that sort of care for others.
Yep, we love to lash out but we don't praise ppl for doing the right thing. Some ppl say - why should we praise them for doing what they should have done in the first place. But I think we should
Totally respect her for that
That's what should be done, good for her! I used to like to share the occasional picture of me and my kid online. If there was ever any little kids or even anyone who was like, clearly a minor, I just blurred their face or put a smiley over it. I have the nice copy of the picture at the end of the day, you know?
Thank you😁So much for sharing the good stuff 🤍
Appreciated
Many many blessings
I record videos and take pictures in public places and even if one person I don't know is in them I ask if they're ok with being in it. If they're not I delete the photo or recording. Even if I have to ask ten people I do it.
I ruined an influencer's video - she was filming in the doorway of a cafe and there way a queue of people waiting to get in and out so I just walked up to her and said "you're blocking a fire exit - move!" and opened the door and let all the customers in - New Zealanders are too polite. She was so pissed 😂😂😂
Good for you!
I hate it when "influencers" do that kid of thing! I had an interaction with a "lovely influencer" just today. This idiot, ( yes that's EXACTLY what she was ) was waiting at the bus stop for our bus to come. She was filming the whole time, complaining that the bus wasn't ahead of schedule due to the heat! Then, when the bus arrived, she went to board without waiting for the other passengers to alight. That was her second complaint. Well, the people getting off were three mother's, each with prams, and one with a toddler in tow as well. Anyway, this "lovely young lady" ( now I'm feeling sick from calling her that ), threw a tantrum! She screamed at them to f***ING hurry up and move your f***ing little c**t kids so I can get out of this f***ING heat!
After her screaming fit, she had the audacity to tell the driver that she was to be given a free ride, as "those imbeciles" had taken too long to get off the bus! All while this was going on, she refused to move aside for me and an elderly man to get on the bus, as , in her words " This is more important than you"! Mind you, it is a very hot day, around 35°c, and the poor man was about to pass out. Needless to say, the bus driver looked her straight in the eye and said, " Get the f**K off my bus"! She then looked at her phone and said to the camera, " Can you see the way this misogynistic boomer spoke to me? Those women with the kids were SOOOOO entitled "!
I told her, very politely, to "get out of my f***ing way or I'll shove that phone fair up your ass, you entitled little...." Well, you can guess the rest! She turned around to say something back, but seen all my tattoos and realized it would be a great idea to do as I'd asked! She moved so fast, and I helped the elderly gentleman to a seat. I didn't really care about myself, just him.
That was my morning for you. And the bus ended up nearly 10 mins behind schedule all because of this entitled little brat! The funniest part is that she does all these videos on deportment, which entails politeness, manners, and showing respect to you elders!
😂😂😂
Id do that too
I would so do that also
Charlotte is already a gem, but can we talk about her EDITORS? Absolutely PRICELESS! Who else enjoyed "Breakfast Charlotte," "Devil Charlotte" and especially "Coneheads Mike & Charlotte"? Good times! 😂😂
Breakfast Charlotte was my favorite! 😂😂😂
Agreed. I think we need more character and smack-cuts in the editing.
I like random meme and stock photos with Charlotte's face on it.
I never would have thought it would be silly and work well.
And Charlotte is super cool being silly like that.
Now we need a jumper with breakfast charlotte on!
The faces kill me every time 😂😂😂 Charlotte steak, charlotte car, charlotte doodoo 😂😂😂😂
'Fleeing the scene of a crime and running str8 into another one' is a phrase that makes my brain happy. 😊
I don't consider you "an influencer" Charlotte. I consider you "a content creator." There is a HUGE DIFFERENCE.
Let's be real. Charlotte is great but she does not create content whatsoever. She reacts to other people's content. Influencer is her title on that alone
Reacting to videos, is still content… @@lifeinnahole1081
@@lifeinnahole1081 this is definitely content creation. Content creators talk/create about others, (current affairs, viral videos, invented characters), influencers talk/ create about themself (who they are/want to be, things they like, their kids, their life's)
why would you rain in somebody's parade like this? Did peanut just die?

getting humbled is an important part of an influencers *job*
Not if they are humble already and just a good person

I think most people need to be humbled at least twice to really be well rounded adults

Sameeee!😂❤
Oh yeah! They’re the Yin/Yang of the CZcams-iverse!!!
I have a three year old and I get really vigilant about people in public filming because I don't want strangers' cameras anywhere near my baby. I try my best to keep him off of social media and away from any cameras when we're out in public. I don't understand why people don't find it wrong to film strangers who don't want to be in your videos!
Pics or it didn't happen.
BECAUSE PEOPLE DONT HAVE TO BEND TO YOU KAREN YOU SOUND VERRY INTITLED ITS PUBLIC NO ONE HAS TO STOP THERE DAY CAUSE YOUR AROUND PERIOD OR YOUR KID FOR THAT MATTER ITS ALLED PUBLIC FOR A REASON THE NERVE OF YOU KARENS
I completely respect and understand your point of view. But you have no expectation of privacy in public, at least in the United States. There are cameras everywhere. Every home, every business strangers on the street.
Maybe not to that extent, but I do my best with what I can do@@laurabg379
@@laurabg379 Even so, I still have the right to protect my child and I don't want my kid on some rando's social media. I will control what I can control.
I never notice if people are filming. I also never look in their grocery carts and judge what they buy. I feel like 90 percent of the world's problems can be solved by people minding their own business and/or being kind.
Absolutely. I'm not bothered largely because I didn't notice, because I'm into my own business
💯 agree
You got that right!
Absolutely!
This. I notice America and Canada are finally “catching up” to societal privacy standards that places like Japan, Germany, and parts of the UK have implemented long ago.
We’re finally getting slapped by reality as we’re becoming more populous within the confines of urban areas. (People per square mile). We are highly individualist-minded countries (at least the US) and that is a dual edged concept, as it can breed a stronger* sense of entitlement and lack of self-awareness or at least lack of concern for others. It has it’s pros of giving people more independence, but it can also have those aforementioned cons.
Bestie, I can relate to the heavy hair thing. A person I met at a party told me later, "you've changed your hairstyle three times." I get hot, so I make a bun. Bun gets heavy, I take it down, but I'm still hot. So I make a side braid, but it sticks to my neck. Thus the cycle repeats all night.
Same. I have to redo my hair several times a day, and my daughter doesn’t even bother to put her hair up, she thinks it looks dumb. I’ve even tried layers, and they look like steps, so dumb. Keep up with your awesomeness, loving it!!!
Ugh yes! Not to mention the weight of the ponytail giving you a headache!
Before i shortened my hair recently, my curly hair bun would give me tension headaches. But because of my curly hair, i would get too hot.
Probably the only time I'm happy to be bald 😄 🤣
SAME! It's like having a thick, wet, hot towel draping all over you all night. I lost my hair due to chemo and it has grown back to where it is just grazing my shoulders. It's like wearing that hot, wet towel wrapped around my head! Maybe I'll just rock the bald again. 😆😆
I’ve seen an influencer in the
Middle of a bridge taking pictures and recording and she says she has to stop and move for the runners since she is the one taking over their space, plus she blurs their faces saying it’s their right to have privacy. I actually liked her for that reason alone.
“I look like I’m leaving a crime scene and rapidly approaching another” IS MY FAVORITE SENTENCE and also me toooooo lmfao
"These are the consequences of your actions" just keeps playing in my head. If you film in public, be ready for judgmental looks and comments. If you don't want to be judged, don't do the things in public! Also, don't film in changing rooms! that's a private space for multiple people, not just one person!
Fun fact: While it's a private property, there is "no expectation of privacy" for customers coming into that space. And that is the legal litmus, whether or not there's an expectation of privacy. For instance, could you possibly take a Bath in the middle of a restaurant? You could not take your clothes off. You could not get naked because you would get arrested for public indecency.
This is what now plays in my head in real life whenever I see someone suffering the consequences of their own ignorance 😂😂😂
@@gawd4582There’s no expectation for privacy in the changing rooms of a clothing store?
When will you learn that your actions have consequences 😂
@@gawd4582I think you mean public property. Private property does have literal expectations of privacy.
There is a town in Vermont who had to ban tourists on certain roads because influencers were destroying the area and blocking traffic for locals who needed to get to work etc. I have a feeling this will be more common.
Hi Charlotte! I'm from India and I have been watching your videos for a year. It helped me a lot with my mental health issues. I was not very confrontational and was kind of a people pleaser, that's why a lot of people took advantage of me to the point where I became so financially, physically and mentally exhausted that I couldn't even sleep for days. I didn't even know how to say no even if I was ill and in debt. I couldn't sleep so to lighten my mood, I watched your videos. And trust me when I say that the 'petty' kind of videos helped me to boost my self esteem and confrontation skills, I am not kidding at all. I learnt that it's easier to be bad in their eyes openly than being good and suffering from it and still being criticised for not doing more. Thanks a lot. You will always be special for me.
I’m so proud of you, I know how hard that can be. 🤗
Me too. Another stranger from the internet. But well done. You’ve got this!! Keep on keeping on!
Bravo!
thanks a lot.. all of you. I wish you all courage in life.
I love this for you❤️🇨🇦
As a woman who's literally losing her hair. That part about getting to make quick messy buns made my day, really made me feel good about my hair for the first time in years. Thank you xx
Influencers are the literal definition of "Everything in life has a purpose - even if it's to serve as a bad example" . Caroll Bryant knew what he was talking about .
Me and my mom have been watching your videos together for the past year- she’s been bed ridden and in a lot of pain for the past month and watching your videos with her every day had been the best! It makes her feel a little better and brings a little light into our lives. Thanks Charlotte 💗
Aww God bless you both in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. You sound like a great daughter❤

I’ll be praying for mom! My heart and positive vibes go out to you both. Stay strong my besties! 🫶🏼
God bless you and your mother. I hope she gets well soon❤

Funk Frog Bait!!! I love them!!!!!
as someone who can do a messy bun in 30 seconds without bobbypins, I'm envious of people with thick, dense, luscious hair who can leave their hair down and it looks pretty and full >< next time I'm sad about how my thin hair looks when it's down, I'll try to think of the luck of being able to do a bun instead
My partner and I went to a baseball game this past summer and as we were walking around looking for food, two girls had their phone setup on a trash can doing a TikTok dance.
I’m extremely camera shy so we dodged out of the camera view and noticed a lot of the people around us were doing the same. They noticed this and started laughing and making fun of everyone trying to get out of the shot.
I felt so much embarrassment for those two. You’re in a baseball stadium filming a bunch of people in public doing this sad goofy dance and you think we’re the strange ones for not wanting to be on camera? It’s so incredibly bizarre to me.
It's their attempt to not feel so bad.
They have to at least be subconsciously aware of their behavior, and for being 'an inconvenience for people'.
But it's such a tiny inconvenience, they shouldn't care that much about it, nobody else does!
However they're doing it on, probably, a daily basis; their conscience has to be eating away at them pretty hardcore by now 😄
So instead of feeling bad about it, they take the route of "Haha, let's make ourselves laugh instead of cry, look at all the people being so weird....trying to not be on the camera ... the one we set up in the middle of a public event where people you know.... have to walk for bathrooms or food."
😆 😂 😆 😂 😆 😂
I would've thrown the phone in the trash can honestly. Let them dive in and pick it out.
Well said…👍
Do you think it maybe an age thing? There’s a whole generation on camera and their parents are usually the ones who start this behavior; when they themselves put the kids on the internet before they’re even a year old. Perhaps the kids that do this type of thing in public, truly believe this is how the world has always been. And because they’re so comfortable with plastering stupid content of themselves for the world to see all the time, maybe they think everyone else is that way too, even in public??? 😂😂 it’s so sad how shameless & self centered/vain this new generation is.
Usually I dont bother you, you dont bother me. But if you make fun of me for trying to be respectful to both myself and you. You said the phone was set up on a trash can right? Guess who's dumpster diving
@@powerpuff_avengerI was going to say the same thing!! Then, if I had food/drink in my hands, EVEN IF I JUST SPENT $25 for a “hotdog and small soda” and not taken a sip or bite, I’d HAPPILY DUMP IT RIGHT OVER THE PHONE; then proceed to “shake, rattle and roll”, the bin!!!!
I’m also curious how many times she did that “happy food dance” to make sure she got the shot. PS. You’re so cute, Charlotte, and always make me smile!
Yeah, I think the woman in the back was looking at her like that because the person the influencer was with kept placing the pancakes on the table over and over.
@@felinemoonchild exactly! I was imagining her secretly annoyed boyfriend 😂
Note on the voice recording: Here in the US, the laws on recording conversations vary by state. Some states have a one-party consent rule, which means that only one person involved in the conversation needs to agree to the recording. Other states have a two-party or all-party consent rules, which means that everyone involved in the conversation must agree to the recording. In some states, there are also exceptions or special provisions for certain situations. Unfortunately, in my state of Wisconsin, we are a one-party consent state, meaning that as long as I am part of the conversation I can legally record it and use it as I please. However, this does not apply if the conversation is in a place where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy, such as a private home or a hotel room, anywhere that isn't open to the public to listen to what we are saying. In that case, I would need the consent of all the parties, or I could face legal consequences.
This! That's why the "what would you do" show only films in certain states (ie Texas) because they can film without consent
Adding to this that all of Canada is one-party consent.
Even when it is a one-party consent, many places have laws regarding about HOW the recoding can be legally used. You can record without the other party knowing, but often you cannot use the recording however you want to.
Yes, with the only exception being using recorded illegal activity or conversation that can be used to convict someone. I’m in California (two-party), but I assume that’s fairly universal. I’ve done it. A family member was arrested for something horrific and the FBI kicked the door down. We had no idea. I drove 6 hours to get the truth from him and wasn’t sure if he’d be honest about it, so I recorded an 8 hour conversation without his knowledge. Fortunately, he owned up to everything in court and went to prison.
Funky frog bait is perfection. 💜
That influencer who posted private personal medical information and gave exactly who disclosed that is very close to doxing, and it definitely violates HIPAA laws regarding personal information. She absolutely broke the law (if she is in the US) and she can absolutely be held accountable.
HIPPA privacy only applies to healthcare professionals, unfortunately. Private citizens are not required to comply.
@@Amazon_213I don't think that's true because I worked at a company before where we handled vaaaaast amounts of personal health information and we all had to follow rigorous HIPAA rules to keep things private and go through regular training. I think you need someone's express consent to disclose another person's private health information. Whether or not a private citizen can be punished by LAW though, I'm not sure. 🤔 I'll have to look into that.
I think that'd be breaking the law here in Australia too & pretty sure UK at least
@@saracantrell7071 HIPAA's privacy rule applies to healthcare providers, healthcare plans, and healthcare clearinghouses that transmit health information through any type of communication method. Put simply, this means it applies to anyone who has access to, needs to use, or needs to disclose private health information (PHI).
So, you working for a company that handles other personal medical information is different than Joe Schmoe and Jane Doe talking about medical information and one of them sharing that with someone else.
And depending on the state you only need the consent of one party to record the second party doesn't even have to be aware it's happening.
My first photography job was with a chain store studio. They had contests for several different categories and there was a large copy of winning shots on the wall. I won one year with a photo of a baby girl in a tub with bubbles and a duck. There was a private studio opening near my house so they were putting up different sized shots of their style of shots. Imagine my surprise at seeing my photo up in their window. I went inside just looking for a fight. I asked why they had my photo up and they said "the mom gave us permission" too bad I didn't. Filed a copyright case against them. Success was so sweet!
I'm so happy for you. Protect your rights!
"My mom gave us permission"??? What were they six years old?!?!

Why are you worrying about just today? 😂😉
Love you girlie!
That tea on that first clip though. The girl in the back has a TikTok too and she put out a video talking about the reason she made that face is that the 'happy girl' was extremely rude to the server and staff UNTIL that clip. So that was a look of, 'Bssh, you do not act like that after the way you treated them.'
Interesting tidbit. I already see influencers as fake people, so anytime they confirm that, it just gives me more reasons to dislike them.
Content creators on the other hand can be overbearing occasionally, but I’ll give them a pass if what they are making ends up being something useful.
I find myself saying “WHY ARE YOU NOT EMBARRASSED!!!” Several times a day. Love your humor! No one shows us petty revenge stories like you do 😂
OMG I did that at the grocery the other day! This man was throwing a fit about them not having his favorite brand of something & I forgot I wasn't at home watching a "Karen" video. Out loud (LOUD!!!!) I said "HOW ARE YOU NOT EMBARRASSED!!!??!!!" at the top of my lungs! I did the whole hand thing as well! Needless to say, it DID end his tantrum & gave a lot of people a laugh but man, it was my turn to be embarrassed!!! 🤣🤣

The ponytail situation - I have thin, straight red hair and get a headache putting my hair in a ponytail because I have to wrap the hair tie so many times to try to keep it tight. A sloppy bun? There is no such thing. It just slides down my head.

Usually, it is about $1.25 at the dollar store.
They come in black/white and mixed colors. I also use them for drying my small herb bundles from the garden.
Plus instead of "pulling" them out you can easily break them to take off. They are tiny things
I can never just throw my hair up without it looking like trash. I envy those people who can quickly throw their hair up without even using a brush and it looks fine. 5:38 in the states it depends on which one you're in. Washington state is a two party state. Both parties need to consent to any video and audio recording. Texas is a one party state. Only one person needs to consent and that's usually the person filming.
Props to the influencer who posted the video of the coffee table. Not afraid to be embarrassed is an honestly great way to look at life!
Influencers make me fear what our future is going to be like. 😢
You are right to be afraid! I've seen some stuff in my 62 years, but the last 8 years or so have been bizarre. I feel like I stepped into upside down world where truth is a lie and cruelty is "love". There are too many empty fake people who have no feelings of compassion for others. As a child, I believed that racism would be a thing of the past by the time I had kids, because that's what my mom told me.
I never imagined a future like this, whatever this is.
To be fair to the table girl, My cousin and I put together an IKEA bookshelf one time and it came crashing down when my brother walked into the house and slammed the front door. Mind you, the bookshelf was in the back room. But we knew that thing was going to collapse when we had 2 screws left over after we assembled it. Good times.
The IKEA Lack tables (which look exactly like the one in the video) are actually super sturdy, you can sit on them, climb on them, whatever you want -- but yea I would imagine it would be advisable to actually put the screws in! 😅
Did it collapse or fall over? Because bookcases and such should be anchored to the wall, especially if there's heavy stuff on the uppermost shelves.
Although admittedly, I wouldn't expect one to tumble over, just from someone slamming the door shut 👀
Screws being left over happens with furniture for self assembly quite often, though - they seem to err on the side of putting in extra stuff, rather than to risk something being missing. I always count and compare to the leaflet, before I start, so I can be sure, I don't miss something.
A friend of mine used to make fun of my leaning shelves that I put together. Lol
@@damnmamaa It sure is I have one and it's great
Yes! I stopped tying it up in a higher ponytail because the weight of it pulls on the scalp and makes it so sore. I now loosely tie it at the nape of my neck, and I think tying it up high damaged my hair over time.
5:48 in some USA states its a single party consent meaning only the person recording needs permission to record for audio you still need permission to record visual unless in a public area (still common courtesy to ask though)
8:40 @Funkyfrogbait is a really nice creator who goes over topics with personal, scientific, and normal thoughts and opinions she even jokes about it but with a degree of understanding
First one: In Germany she would have had a very hard time. People don't like to be filmed here and believe me - they are going to tell you (and most likely the restaurant staff will too). Also we have very strict laws about being filmed AND published without consent - and at a restaurant you absolutely need permission if you film more than yourself or your meal.
Second one... even worse.
I feel that cute bun pain, Charlotte 😂 I have fine hair (just a LOT of it- like I have to be careful not to sit on it) and tried to do a cute messy bun for an event this year. Yeah, there was so much hair that I also ended up looking like a conehead. Wasn't sure if I was networking or directing traffic. Sad times 😂
for the recording clip, there are states that are 2 party consent which means both parties have to consent to being video and audio recorded. Some states like here in TX its a 1 party consent where only one person in the conversation needs to give consent and usually thats the person recording
Charlotte griping about thiccc hair while us fine thin hair girlies are saying “we will trade and remove the burden bestie”. 😂
IKR? I've always had fine, thin hair, but after menopause most of my hair fell out. It's hard to style my hair when I only have a few strands left. I wear a lot of hats and headscarves. I hate it when someone assumes I'm sick because I'm wearing what they call a "cancer hat". I'm not sick, I just have a cold head!😒
Totally 😂
For real! I was excited when I finally had enough hair for a ponytail. 😂
It’s so sad having such little hair, I’m considering buying some 😂🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
If you're in a one party consent state (in the US), they do NOT have to tell you they are recording. They do that with businesses because they might be talking to people in multiple states, so they have it covered either way.
I FEEL YOU on the thick hair! Back when my hair was long, I put it in a lot of braids and “nape of neck” styles because anything higher would give me headaches! Thicc hair girls unite!!
Shadows and lighting are the biggest giveaway of photoshopped pix
Oh my God, the table breaking one reminded me of this crazy woodwork teacher I had in high school. Our last project for the year was to make a small, square coffee table. Once everyone had finished making them he told us that his grading system was him sitting on each table and if they broke we'd fail, and if they didn't we'd pass. Now this teacher was a bit on the heavier side, so all of us were convinced that there's no way any of us would pass, and that we'd all get screamed at for being stupid and incompetent (he was one of the really old, horrible teachers that would yell at and insult us for no reason.) We ended up all passing which was surprising, and when he announced his retirement the next year I swear every kid in the school breathed a sigh of relief.
Once worked with a regally beautiful lady whose neck was like a swan's, whose hair was naturally honey gold and as thick as Miss Charlotte's. I asked her once why she never wore it up, as it would have been absolutely stunning. She sighed and said she had tried, but it gave her a migraine-level headache because it was too heavy. A blessing and a curse, apparently.
Yep, I get headaches too everything I put my hair in a ponytail. So I have started wearing it low and on the side of the face.
It does suck having thick hair especially in the summer in Australia. I wear it down I'm hot, I wear my hair up & I get a migraine or headache if I'm "lucky". I had to take thinning scissors to my hair for it to just be bearable.
I never considered that just a thick hair thing. I have thin hair, but easily get headaches from ponytails, buns, headbands, etc. Definitely annoying because I happen to love hair accessories 🤨
The absolute irony that as a furry with a fursuit, I go out wearing my suit PURPOSELY to get those glances that some of these influencers seem to think are abnormal 😂 Good or awkward glances, they're all fun to get! Full on waves from adults and friendly car honks are the best though ❤
I had a friend who did this. She posted a very ugly picture of me that I just wasn’t comfortable having up. When I asked her to take it down she actually got so mad at me she started calling me a bad friend and that I was simply overreacting. (She used me as the “fat friend” to make her look better so Ik that was bs) I told her that if she wouldn’t take it down we couldn’t be friends anymore. Immediately took it down (she used me for money so if she didn’t she’d lose it) but never apologized. I cut her off like 2 years later cause she’s a pathological liar. Been doing much better ever since!
Omg. I was looking for this comment.
I have (had) a friend who seemed to always take bad angles of me in photos. I let it go for awhile until....
....my birthday....
Friends gave me a small birthday party a popular restaurant. Of course we all were taking pictures.....and again hers of me were horrendous. Yet THIS time she posted them on her Facebook without consulting me first.
I was absolutely LIVID! I literally looked awful! Even the other friends noticed.
When I called her to please take them down and use other ones she told me..."No. Those pictures look good to me."....
I came to realize she considered me the
"ugly old friend" and this was her passive aggressive way of her letting me know she felt that she was much more attractive and younger than me.
Never again I allowed her to take a photo of me again.
And like you I ended the friendship not long after.
I, 35f, went on a first date today I left my husband 2 1/2 years ago and so far I haven't found a connection with anyone.
Me and the guy are coming out of his car to go into a shop and I was telling him a story and he turns around and goes "oh no not me I would have done much worse - because I am very petty"
Roll on date 2 I'm very excited
Good luck with your second date, bestie!! ❤
Oh yes! Wouldn't it be cool if he's also a potato-head? I'm sure if he doesn't know Charlotte already, you will fix that.
I'm excited for you! Please keep us updated. Maybe you've found your perfect petty partner in crime! Good luck!
The influencer thing has gotten ridiculous. Walking on a beautiful private beach in Florida I had to walk around a professional photo shoot. No worries they were nice and professional and had people even offering free water to the people who had to walk a significant distance to get around them.
Then you get the influencers. I try to politely stop and wait a minute or two to get the shot. They never even acknowledge you or say thanks. They don’t stop so eventually I just have to walk by. They just scowl at me as if walking on the beach where we own property is causing them personal offence.
06:41 - you LIED TO US about your ear size xD they're so normal!
Thick-hair headaches are totally a thing! I get them all the time, and my hair is only shoulder length. The base of my ponytail has a bigger circumference than a quarter.
You're not the only one, Charlotte!
YES!! High Ponytails cause my hair to hurt at the crown of my scalp so badly. After taking it out it hurts like hell (but also feels so damn good) to massage it, but I do so until my hair follicles are no longer angry. For me it’s the quickest way to relieve that pain. Even a slight breeze blowing my hair hurts after I take a ponytail out sometimes. So I avoid ponytails at all costs.
Same. I’ve tried explaining my hair hurting to my husband but he just doesn’t get it lol.
@@raimeyewens7518 Yes, I’ve attempted to explain it to my husband but I realize how crazy I must sound to someone who hasn’t the first clue what I’m talking about 😂 Your HAIR hurts?!?! 🤣 I’m not sure that I could understand it very well or believe it could possibly be true if I’d never experienced it myself. It honestly sounds like a child making up excuses while trying to get out of having their hair brushed 🤣
Ah yes. The painful yet somehow satisfying head rub at the end of the day. A classic.
1:41 that part I can understand. This woman has the most valid opinion.
some states have a one-party consent. this means that if two people are having a private conversation, one person can record it without telling the other as long as the person recording is also involved in the conversation. so you could secretly record your neighbor telling you they stole your ladder, but you can't record two other neighbors talking about the theft without their permission.
“You will need more than 3 waffles” made me cackle 😂
I freaking love Funky Frog Bait. Id watch them every single day
8:03 love this girl, she’s so funny 😂 her deadpan face with the commentary posed as questions. 100% more relatable person than the influencers she’s commenting about
yes my head hurts when have ponytail, best come back I have ever heard was " is your ponytail too tight or are you just crazy" works for either gender with long hair ha ha
You and funkyfrogbait should have a snark-off. Get some folks to volunteer their worst stuff for a good public roasting for funsies. See if you can get 'Google translate sings' to do a theme song. 😂
recording conversations and getting permission to record really does depend on where you are. Like, it's legal in Canada to record a conversation even without the other person's knowledge (except in private places like change rooms and bathrooms). It is, however, polite to ask or at least inform the other person you're recording
Same in Finland, you can record a conversation without the other person's knowledge. But it is not legal to use that material any way you like, you can't just publish. Recording a conversation can however be practical if you need some kind of proof if you get into a dispute later with someone.
Yes, it depends on where you are. For example, Florida is a 2-party state: BOTH (or all) parties must be aware of being recorded. Otherwise, you can be charged with a felony.
My state is a 1-party state for recording convos. (I needed to know this awhile ago!)
I'm pretty sure in Canada, at least one person involved in the conversation must consent to the recording. So you could secretly record a conversation you're having with someone but not secretly record other people having private conversations. That being said if you're in public ( ie not at home or at a private establishment) you have zero expectation of privacy. In public anyone can record anyone else. But be careful because it can be quite nuanced and slightly different depending on the province.
Yes, filming and recording rules vary on what state/country you are in, but it's "great" when an "influencer" comes into your workplace and not only films and records without permission, doesn't tell you they're filming and tries to get a rise out of you all for the sake of "content". Guy ended up getting bashed by the whole community, so at least most people are aware that it's uncool to harass and film people without their permission.
“Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth” 😂😂
You're right that recording people with or without them knowing is different depending on where you are. Some states (in the USA) are single party states, which means that as long as 1 person involved with the recording knows it's being recorded, they do not have to notify anyone else. This means that the person recording (who obviously knows it's being recorded) doesn't have to tell anyone. Including in public. Check what the requirements are in your own area BEFORE you start recording or saying anything where you think someone MAY record it. Always assume someone could record anything, especially since there's CCTV everywhere. That influencer may have legal rights to have it removed depending on their laws.
Loving binge watching your videos! Keep it up!
Fun fact:
Restaurants are not actually public. They are PRIVET PROPERTY. You are actually REQIRED to ask for permission to film in PRIVATE PROPERTY!!
Nope. Any place open to the public, is a public space. And you have no reasonable expectation of privacy. Yes, you can be recorded and photographed in public places without your consent.
@@OhFFSno,actually it’s private property but they give permission to anyone to enter the place, that’s why they can ask you to leave, they’re revoking your permission, you really should do research before making yourself look a full on numpty
@@OhFFSNo. Many private businesses(i.e. restaurants , gyms, shops, etc)are publicly ACCESSIBLE to the public, but they are still private property, and have every right to request you stop recording. And therefore has every right to trespass you if you refuse to comply with their policies.
Some states are single party consent, and you can record anyone. What you do with it may be regulated separately.
@@OhFFSThat's not how that works.
I totally credit Charlotte for my new ability to spot a doctored photo 😂❤ The earlier videos that taught us that social media is fake have given me a new perspective on a whole lot 😂
U ARE NOT ALONE! I have that same issuee, my scalp is so sensitive and the worst is not actually tying the ponytail, it’s untying it after a day when ur hair roots have bent to go in a certain direction and opening them forces them in a different direction
13:36 Really sounded like she said "Oooh Kate, look at this!" I'm just like "Oooh what are we lookin at!?" 😂
lol I once had beef with an infuencer ...she was filming herself right in front of my college door and started yelling and having tantrums cus I ruined her shots by trying to enter the building....according to her no one cares about my stupid exam and I shouldve waited for her to finish 💀
This is why privacy is so important. It’s not cheap to go to school and living in dorms etc & not have shitty people who ruin your chance at good grades.
And I’m sorry to hear that happened to you and nothings changed in all these years since I was in dorms. Respect!
10:30 YES!!! There's constantly 1 or 2 strands pulling at my scalp so I have to keep messing around with it
The old and sad chic is clearly such a happy person 😂 she must have been starving when she answered those comments
The girl being recorded without consent can both sue and press charges. She needs to do both.
I have the thick hair problem. I RARELY curl it because it takes hours and hours and it doesn’t usually stay. My best friend offered to curl it and she regretted it quickly, but she still did it 😂
I'm jealous!
@@lotstodosame😢
I actually like that people are willing to post the "outtakes"/"bloopers"... their perfect imperfections 😂😊
The recording thing depends on where you are. The state I live in in the US is a one party state so if you're in the recording and you know you're recording the interaction you dont have to notify the other parties you're doing it. Of course, you can't record in a bathroom at all or in a bedroom unless there is a weapon involved.
Love the fact that Charlotte used Funky Frog Bait on this vid. That girl is brilliant! Clever and HILARIOUS!
Lol I Love FFB way of just cutting through the BS and of course the Potato Queen
PS while we all know Charlotte's channel is a reaction/commentary channel at heart don't forget you're also an influencer but the best kind a Realist Influencer someone influencing us all to be more real more authentic 😜
Social media personalities are like graffiti artists doing their work in public. It is a blight on society, at the same time a few artists are really talented, only a few. I love the way Charlotte sees that she is also doing her best as we all are trying our best! Love you Charlotte!
there are one-consent states in the US. Meaning only one person needs to be aware of the recording, and that can be the person doing the recording. I've used it for an abusive person who is no longer in my life. it's totally legal in those states to record anyone. Video is/can be a separate law, so check both for your state. (again, the US).
The picture of you licking that potato gave me the laugh I needed today. Love you Charlotte!! xD
seeing frunkyfrogbait in your video was so euphoric since i watch both of y’all’s videos, you guys are so funny!!
the way my jaw DROPPED when I saw a @FunkyFrogBait feature! Love them, they're hilarious! One of my fav CZcamsrs
Humble pie with our petty queen helps me digest my dinner better 😔✨✨
GURL DINNER!!!
That depends where you’re from, too. Where I live, any conversation can be recorded as long as one person involved in the conversation knows that it’s being recorded.
In Germany (and I believe EU overall) you are allowed to film strangers but are NOT allowed to post footage of them without their consent, unless they are celebrities, politicians etc. (=people of public interest). If you don’t get their consent then you have to obscure their identity or make sure they aren’t directly in a shot. An exception are shots with more than X number of people in it (ex. Shot of a busy street with lots of people) and filming for the specific purpose of recording evidence.
That’s what we were taught in school when we did a week specifically about media and internet and the laws around it, Idk if they changed those policies in the last 8 years
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how incredible Charlotte's nails look? I love that polish!
i kind of feel bad for people who base their self worth on renting a plane in a hanger to take photos of themselves to trick people into thinking they're traveling and living a crazy fun life when they're actually sitting at home eating Ben & Jerry's.
I don’t. They’re pathetic and trying to feel better than others 😅
👏 👏 👏 😂😂 🙇♀️
Man, she didn't even rent a hangar. Someone just photoshopped her into pictures that already existed. Check out her feet on the stairs. They aren't on the stairs! And on the one of her sitting on the seat, you can see a thin black line around her whole body where they cropped her out of another picture and plopped her into that one, not even taking scale into consideration.
Haha love your whole vibe in this video!
charlotte you are my absolute favorite and have been forever! Pls don’t ever change your one of a kind!
And then there are those of us with thin hair trying a messy bun and wind up looking like scrat from ice age😒🤦♀️
I basically despise " influencers"..actually the folks who worship them are even worse...it's high school clique crap...sheep. You however....are real and hilarious..I'm not "influenced " by you..I'm entertained. Thank you!
I’ve thought about making a pin or a hat that says “I don’t consent to be recorded in any way” when I’m out and about so that people would have to either blur or not include me. And then have visual proof that I did not consent.
I also worry that it might attract attention from people who have no boundaries. It’s like this anxiety bubble I get myself into sometimes.
Lmao! You crack me tf up! And, btw, all of us who have thin, flat hair that goes in a messy bun in 30 seconds..... wish we had that "thicc" hair! 😂🤣😅
Yesss!!! I love Funky Frog Bait!!! Their content is fantastic and commentaries are super hot takes that should be talked about more often.
