Difference is clearly notable. If you are used to listen to music with speakers using AMTs or ribbon tweeters it's no trick that your ears get trained and will hear the differences compared to e.g. usual fabric domes.
TL;DR, the reason a lot of people think a tweeter that can get up to 40kHz is more detailed and more natural has nothing to do with the actual frequency it can reach, and these so-called "sympathetic" frequencies we can supposedly detect, but rather it's the faster transient response that allows it to get that high in the first place.
I have got the same impression using my studio quality headphone - But I am unsure about my mind - Not looking to the description was a help to see that I got it right.

For most pop music this is not relevant but for classical music the frequencies above 20khz are harmonic frequencies. For some people this is very important. For most people it's fine. But you still want your analog amplifier to be able to go higher than 20khz. Otherwise the phase is affected
as bad as my hearing is supposed to be, I definitely hear the minor difference with my sennheiser massdrop 6xx and FIIO Q5s. You hand picked great tracks to test this with. As always, unsurpassed video analysis that you always present.

In some cases being a long time audiophile from the 80s it has more an effect like room treatment like dispersion 3 but you need a wideband source 4 Wideband Amp 5 Super Tweeter This is not Audio forklore it definitely goes beyond hearing measurements. Hey we can tell the difference between 2 sugars or 3 in a cup of tea ( explain that)
15khz cut off seems to be more "harsh" and normal response are little more precise and airy but it's very minor difference. It s slightly noticeable even on a low end headphone jbl
If its under 20hz its more of problem with power/pressure of waves and recognizing those as a tone, in over 20khz its similar too, though you mostly cannot recognize each tone, with the right equipment, power and music/sound, it can affect it to create the "perfect" output. The reason it matters is the same as with screen resolution to the eyes, though you cannot recognize difference, you still cannot see the depth, what happens in the real environment. Example, it depends on the device and music, bluetooth cut out under 20hz, majority of details and people listen to it, its not like you cannot hear the difference but if you listen to electronic music and on cheap earphones, to worry about over 20khz is stupid as its less noticeable than the rest.
It does matter, because I want my dog to enjoy the music also.

i have shanling m1and plug 1more quad driver and still dont know when the frequences are in range and dsd files 128 or 24 bit 196 khz or 96khz

i could actually hear a slight difference, the very high end sparkle is missing when you turn on the 15khz cutoff.

Check "Interference" - This is the effect you mentioned
At normal response mode, the high sounds sharper crispier and tend to fatigue.
If one can't hear the difference then your ears has deprived and robbed you of the joys of listening to music.

CZcams cuts off 15 - 16k Hz and above though. Not sure if there's an actual difference or if it's the brain trying to/wanting to hear a difference...
First track big difference especially with voice.
