Is the computer working now? Because the same problem happened to me with the water spill and I have the same model. Also did you only need to replace the battery for the computer to turn on?

    It`s Binh Damaged............
    I would suggest the following:-
    1) Place a towel on the table to stop the all-aluminium laptop from getting scratched to hell.
    2) Guide the screwdriver to each screw so that the screwdriver doesn`t scratch the aluminium bottom to hell.
    3) Use the correct nylon spudgers/pry-tools to separate the bottom aluminium plate from the main laptop chassis - DON`t use fingernails or bend the bottom panel to release clips - I have successfully pulled several XPS 17 9700/9710 laptops apart for upgrades using this method NONE of which have been damaged in the slightest.
    4) DON`T short pins out using a screwdriver bit - What could possibly go wrong??? Just press the power button for a few seconds!
    4) TAKE YOUR TIME - DO IT CAREFULLY - DON`T RUSH - MORE TIME LESS HASTE!

      Hah!...
      1) it wasn't scratched and a towel could cause static damage.
      2)wuh?...
3)lol pry tools. I guess you're new to the world of taking computers apart and how things work. Fingernails are superior in how agile they are and the different type of working angles and leverage that can be applied.
      4) Holding the power button won't reset the bios...noob
5)Rush? You think I was rushing?
How about you make a video of this same model for comparison...
