I got the red Plasti-Dip for my '23 Camaro 3LT. It's all blacked-out, including bowties, but chrome trim like yours. I'll be peeling around the chrome so it'll be black bowtie with red outline. (I already have red Brembo brake calipers that came with it new so I'll be keeping with the red accents.)

No I actually did the process with with sides of the car and it never came off until I used product to get ride of it.

You should try Hydro dip it’s pretty nice and easy to do, but it does take longer than plasty dip in my opinion. And on the other hand even though it does come out nice there’s always a chance of going through a car wash or the Hydro dip or plasty dip coming off you know, I like more of a permanent solution like actually buying the black logos themselves and I know it’s expensive, but after doing Hydro dip and having some of it come off I just went and bought the real ones and instead them
Definitely bro, I’ve never heard of hydro dip 💪💪 the safest and probably the cleanest and hassle free way would be to just buy but I’m all about saving as much money as possible 🤣 and your right eventually they may start to peel which is what exactly happened to mines after about a year and half and that led me to re-do it but buying it could be the next move 💯💯 Appreciate it 👏

But if the whole car is blacked out what’s the reason to then keep that chrome around the outside of the bowtie? I thought the whole idea was to delete all the chrome.
he still has chromes on some parts of the car, it just looks better to have minimum chrome and more black, not 100% black

How’s maintenance one a DIY like this? Also is this something that would peel or chip off with car washes or normal wear and tear?
damn what year malibu is that? I have the 2013 2.5L ecoboost malibu and it's black and chrome all tinted windows and i got some clean ass chrome rims. I'm considering blacking out just the middle of the chevy emblem, and leaving the chrome, because i'm changing my handles to chrome in a couple days when i get them in. I'm just going for a clean ass black, chrome, and grey look. I love your malibu i feel like the 2020's and stuff and disgustingly awesome lol

When washing your vehicle or going through car wash will the paint come off the emblem? If so which is best to use plasti dip or the other more permanent paint?
Mine hasn't come off 1 year so far even when washing my car

does that air intake that you bought make a huge difference in horsepower? do you think the car was slow when you first got it before making any upgrades? or did it whip. i only got to drive it for a few minute
Oh Nice bro! And I wouldn’t say it makes a HUGE difference but it’s definitely something that you would notice, especially with maybe a muffler delete and when I first got the car it wasn’t too slow but its a lot more decent now👍
@@malibucustoms4428 Im not mechanic, is a muffler delete just for the sound? or does that effect the car in another way
The muffler delete allows for a better flow of gasses through the exhaust and is also less restrictive on the sound. So for most people they may get it for sound, but it may also add some horsepower to the car as well. With my air intake and muffler delete I do notice a difference in the car. But with the air intake alone you should still see a small difference
