I wish people would stop calling him an OSRS streamer/content Creator. He does not create content on OSRS. He made like three videos over a year ago and that was the entire bulk of RuneScape content he's ever created. He does raid Shadow Legends, Diablo 2, 4, immortal etc content

Player since release here - Got hacked recently with 2FA, bank pin etc. This was just before they released jagex accounts. Same story as mentioned, no email notifications, no breaches, nothing, seriously wtf.

Just happened to me aswell. Lost 1.4b to a 2fa. I didn't have a jagex account until now since I decided to take a break right before a jagex account was a thing.
I always use a phrase or sentence when making my passwords. Those are the hardest to guess.

I forgot an old accounts pin and just had to disable it and wait a couple days.
Also, I don't believe there are consequences for incorrect guesses besides a short timeout
ye but if you log in daily that shouldnt be an issue since it alerts you that your bank pin will be deleted in x amount of days.

It's pretty funny that you think people aren't using their birthdays as passwords anymore. '123456' and 'password' are still the most commonly passwords on the internet. On top of that, every major hack literally (and I mean literally, literally) ever has been preceded by social engineering. That'll never change. There may be a million ways to get 'hacked,' but 9/10 it's these two things that do people in. That and not having 2FA.

issue i have with jagex account is i want steam to track my hours played on runescape but if i set steam to launch the jagex launcher when i click old school it doesn't track the hours, where as if i have it set to launch the runelite client it does. think the reason it does this is because you launch the jagex launcher and then open runelite through that so it doesn't track. ive had no issues through steam so until jagex allow steam to continue tracking my hours ill just keep using steam, i have 2FA and every other security set up aside from the jagex account since currently its half baked. jagex needs to understand that ALOT of PC players will not touch any other launcher other than steam.

Only exception should be repeat cases because if you get hacked multiple times then it's on you 100% but sometimes there are oopsies like this that need rectifying the problem is jagex probably doesn't want to go through all the hassle of proving if people are lying about being hacked or not because they have to look into every individual account and I feel like people getting hacked probably happens more often than we think it does. Still it is quite unfair but I was just saying he did actually end up getting it back not that I agreed that he got it back.

I could make those tabs fairly easy just depends on how much the person wants to spend. I could 3d print it one for a few bucks all the way to making a heavy stone like one from plaster of Paris for probably $100? Depends on how many i needed to make (because id have to make a custom silicone mold for pouring the plaster). If one person wanted one probably a few hundred but a large amount at once maybe 50 each? This is based on USD by the way. Also, im not advertising to make these justice suggesting what it would cost based on my time and effort of making them.

Runescape has one of the weakest security i have ever seen, 2FA and the "jagex account" does not prodect you, it just takes a bit longer. anyone denying it doesnt know how all the security actually works under the hood. all it takes is an account that rises interest and a little bit of time. its very easy to hijack runescape accounts.
Edit: and the best part is the missing support wich makes it very hard for normal ppl to get help. but who cares i bot and im happy.
