I think I simply follow Don
Hahaha! Thanks! 😊🎨🎨🎨
Don, thank you. More videos like this will really help beginners like me. I don't have the Army Painter paints but the AK paints offered by my half but I'm going to try my first mini with armor asap.
Oh thanks man! Glad you liked it. This I think is my first video that kept the painting this simple, and I enjoyed it! 😊🎨🎨🎨
I like the colour build up of the torch and osl effects, the frontal details superb.
Is the Space Dust also second to Citadel paint Dorn yellow?
Very nice video Don! Here's an idea for you: do a similar one but using only AP Speedpaints 2.0 please. Just white primer and those paints: even less fancy than here - I'm really curious what the effects would be in comparison.
I honestly think that beginners would have better and faster results with "one coat" type paints, for their level. Slapchop and then just paint within the lines.
I totally agree. Speedpaints are awesome. Will make videos of them again soon. 😊

You used to post almost exclusively Speedpaint videos. Now they're all Fanatic videos. Are you done with Speedpaints?
Ohhhh I love Speedpaints! You like more Speedpaint videos? 😊
@@DonSuratos Yes please! I love speedpaints, and I have no interest in "standard painting" (although I do use/want to improve certain acrylic painting techniques like washes, drybrushing, drybrush highlights, OSL, etc...)
pure red is not red in fanatic range. It's pink
Simply apply Red Tone wash or Poppy Red wash if it’s not red enough for you. 😊
A few people recommended applying an undercoat of Mulled Berry which is the darkest Wine Red from the desaturated violet triad and then apply Pure Red. The Seige Studio Podcast Team mentioned when testing Pure Red it had a pink tone to it and they said AP must have added white pigments or maybe too much?
What's even weirder is that other painters at Seige Studios said they didn't have that problem with Pure Red when they used it...or maybe they applied it differently? Maybe they thinned it too much? Layered it over the prior red triad? Or maybe they used it over a black primer or a white primer? SO many variables. I'm going tpick one up and test it.
I came across a production issue with Tundra Taupe. The first bottle I ordered was way too thick, like mud I couldn't get the mixing balls to move over my vortex mixer. SO, i opened up tye bottle and it was sludge...I returned it and they gave me an exchange. I went home....same issue...I ended up adding a tiny amount of Weapon Stabilizer and then used it over my Vortex mixer and although its still very thick, I was able to at least able to get it out of the bottle onto my wet pallette which allowed me to thin it down.
