Gadget talk you're the best❤
I thought the noise reduction was for when recieving rather than when transmitting. Great video! Recently ordered one of these and awaiting delivery 😊
as far as all the models that i've seen. it looks like this model radio was first released in the Philippines as the UVR-10 back in Feb 2023. There is also the UVR-10 Pro version which does not have a screen and keypad.
I have these unit since 3 month if I remember correctly and I must say it's one of the best sub 100 bucks radio! I measure 11,3W on vhf with a full battery, quite impressive especially when you see the purity of the signal👍 The TYT th-uv99 is the same radio (and the TYT th-uv58 is fairly close as well)...
Thanks for the info! 73
Motorola professional APX HTs have excellent noise cancelling capability!!!
When using either CHIRP or the RA89 proprietary programming software, I have not been able to reprogram the P1 and P2 user-programmable side buttons after uploading. When programmed to SCAN, it simply monitors the selected channel. Upon downloading the settings back into the program, the settings are indeed correctly set. It just doesn't work. Do you experience the same issue?
I am a white stick operator I noticed the beeps do not change when changing output power so if you can not see not good!!!!! Thank you for the review Joe
You're right. Menus have voice prompts but not the choices within the menus. 73
Thank you very much yes waiting for a rig that is completely accessible so all menus etc spoken can't come soon enough thank you very much love your reviews always interested if the radios beep or speak thank you again best 73's
Does it have voice prompts like the baofeng? As a blind ham we are allways looking for radios like the Kenwood THD74a and the Kenwood coming next year the THD75a.
The menu items have voice prompts for the main menu item but not the choices within the menu item. Thanks for watching and bringing up a good point. 73
I would like to know the power reading on gmrs.
This is a ham radio.
Thanks for the video. I just purchased this HT and I have to say that I’m pretty impressed with it so far. I do have a question about programming a repeater though….is the “encode” function the same as the tx ctcss to open up a repeater? None of my other radios have an “encode” and the user manual is not clear on this. Thanks for any help
Yes. You have that correct. Encode = transmit.
@@GadgetTalk4U thank you
does it do the spectrum display?
No
