Hi. Thanks for the video! Can you please explain “end tone elimination” as your statement “I’m going to listen for 120 seconds” didn’t register with me. Additionally, are you aware of what “SW Audio” is? I wasn’t able to identify an explanation for either feature/option. Thanks in advance!

It would probably be easier if you searched Squelch Tail Elimination and read a more comprehensive explanation than I could do here. Not sure, but I think the SW Audio refers to the software enhanced Intelligent Noise Reduction feature this radio has. Menu 38, perhaps? Cheers.

I've been using CPS for the RA89. The frequency and settings seem to program into the radio. However the programmable side keys do not actually get programmed. The CPS says that they are changed to my desired settings but do not perform the function I select. I've seen some other video comments involving the same issue. I wonder if another firmware will be released.

Yes, there is a newer release firmware update that resolves that issue.

@@RLPnKY I did find and install the B91.30 firmware. I can confirm this newest firmware resolved the issues I was experiencing. This firmware also added a few features such as adjusting mic gain via the onboard menu. I found a link for it on one of the Retevis videos involving the firmware update process.

I did everything just like you, but sadly there is something wrong... I was able to type in all the frequencys I wanted and transfer them to the radio - or so I thought..
There is everything, my startup text, my channel names, the settings but sadly it gets the frequencys wrong.
If I read out the radio it shows the right numbers (the frequencys I wanted to programm) but it won't receive or transmit on that frequency but far off. I have no idea whats wrong, everything looks fine, no errormessages or anything during programming. I even did a firmware update, same results as before..
Has anybody an idea what may be the problem?! If so, please let me know, like the radio but I don't want to calculate all my used frequencys to the strange offset it does.
(no, I didn't check if the "offset" is always the same. but as an example - what should be 446.00625 is 429.99875, at least that is what my "scanner" tells me, and it seems to be right if I enter the frequency on another radio I can make contact. Also I checked, there seems to be no logic to the strange offset -> 446.01875 is 429.99750. )
    Thx to all of you!

Very strange. Take a look on the radio menu to see if offset is something other than off and the offset amount is 0.00. If you computed the offset when setting the frequencies on the CPS it may be adding an addition offset. Just a guess. Otherwise email Retevis. Odd.

@@GadgetTalk4UThank you for the quick response! Sadly everything you mentioned seems to be set correctly, in the CPS as on the radio.
Just opend a ticket at the RetevisSupport ;-)
..and excuse my bad english. As you may have allready guessed, I'm not a native speaker
