If you got any questions on the Cummins swap that I may have missed just ask. Also if you want to go back and watch the full series playlist in the description.
Will you ever sell it?!? I want to buy a cummins swapped ford
Brandon Petek I doubt he will
I have a question i have a 04 6.0 reguler cab f550 has a shit ton of miles on it mid 500k im thinking of cummins swap but the 6.0 is my main work horse how long did it take you like hours if i was to start and not stop till its done
How many hours??
how many labor hours do you have putting the motor in it?
Take it to a ford dealership for an oil change and film their reactions
Like so he can see it
This would be funny!
This cummins came out of an F 450 originally so it shouldn't hurt their feelings too much.
Stacy Boots no it came out of an f700 md truck😂
My bad it's still a ford!
9:20 - Engine: $1,500. Parts: $3,800. Driveline & Misc. = $655. Minus truck cost. $5955 Total. You're welcome.
Not all heros wear capes
Steve Brantley thank you
Cummins are gutless when hauling heavy shit

Not if you how to turn a wrench...
What about labor cost?
As a guy that owns a Ford, I think this was freaking awesome! I own an 08 Ford with the 6.4 engine and haven't had problems with it. But if given the chance I would love to do something like this, super cool stuff man!
I dont get why people dislike this video he is such a positive person who deserves all likes possible.
😙😘😇
Much love man🙏😇
Weston , you are a great young man. We need more like you in this world! I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work 👍
Who are the 90 asshats that downvoted this? Westen cracks me up while impressing me with his ability on the mechanical side. Makes me want to do something like this myself since I had a 2010 F350 Lariat that I loved...except for the gremlins!
Mr, Champlin, I want to thank you for everything you put into your videos. Its because of the laughs and cool projects you do that got me into the diesel industry. I have a tempermental 6.0 of my own and whenever im down on my luck about it I just watch a couple of your videos and im back to work laughing my behind off. Keep doing what you're doing brother!
I love this comment!! 😘
Man, found your channel last week, and then watched all of your videos quickly thereafter! Favorite channel!
Bro your videos are the best this is an underrated channel
I agree
Word. Such a nice guy, super enjoyable
eez_ it won’t be underrated much longer. It’s growing pretty quickly
Bro, he's so optimistic! I love that
Luke Said : nailed it ! So refreshing to listen to.
Thanks again for the diesel content. Especially on a Sunday
I have an f350 dually. It's studded, Bullet proofed, egr deleted. It has a 6 inch lift it runs great I love my 6.0. Great video brother
Love your channel. Keep the builds comming. Its what glued me to your channel!!!!!
Omg the smiley face had me laughing like a fool in public. Everyone was looking at me. Ha ha ha love it!

How do u get it to pass smog?
Badbad Badley isn’t that a cali thing
Yes It's a Calif thing, but there are a few places like Blythe CA were you don't need smog as long as that where your home address is. It's in the middle of nowhere.
Dude you crack me up and your videos are fun to watch definitely glad I found this channel.
so glad to see your channel blowing up, you put out a cool product and deserve it.
The people that disliked this video drive cavaliers.

Brand loyalists of any brand suck the fun out of everything.
Hahaha
I've always been a fan of anything with a cummins! Great project! Thanks
I wish I knew someone like you to help me with projects. You are truly a great entertainer.
Love your channel, you're a down to earth guy, funny, and do projects we might actually try.
Could you do a tour of you’re property and all the vehicles and equipment you own?
Freddy1444 Bk he does have a lot going on on his yard
I'm sure you mean no harm. That could be perceived as creepy. Some guys will do it. Some guys like to brag, some don't. I sure wouldn't show all my stuff. There's some crazy dudes out there looking to "borrow" things. I do like the idea of a Fummins though!
It’s not much but it’s honest work
mrlpn2 .....It does look like he has a few side projects going on. And he's kind of an entertaining fella. If he decides to show us around that would be kinda cool. I just hope some dirtbag doesn't do something stupid. Westin seems like a nice guy and fun to work with.
Criminal shopping list?
Loved the series of this swap. Answers a lot of questions. Keep us up dated.😎
A straight forward answer on costs-thank you- it would be nice if you said theses prices along the way. I still would have watched all these videos-good stuff Westin!
I found the 3rd video of this swap on fb...had to go back to the beginning and watch the entire thing........keep up the awesome job, and videos coming.
Cool Cummins swap can't wait for more on the dozer
zach Smith I agree, I love those old cats
Cummins swap the dozer
There's a dozer project?
id just like to say sir thank you for your content and will to get at it :P Being here before 50k subs its cool to see the growth of your channel we all know you deserve! Hell Yeah Brother!
Yo Weston, I love your optimism in each video
Another enjoyable, informative posting Weston. your subscriber numbers will be passing those goonzquad brothers in no time!
You should do a video were you take it to the ford dealer to change the oil and record their reactions
Great job Westen, cannot wait to see what you do with the Mustang and the "Dozer".
This was a very informative post. Thank you for the great information. P.S. really enjoy your easygoing attitude and sense of humor. Keep up the good work.
Very sharp young guy, can't believe you're just 21. Your channel is doing great and rightly so. Best wishes from Michigan.
thanks bud!
Ah my Sunday afternoon delight. A new video!! Looks like your Cummins swap was a success and know you eventually will get the A/C up and running. Westen, you and Garrett are doing such an awesome job with your channel. 147K subscribes and growing. Love your positive attitude and thank you Garrett for interacting now. Love how you bring it all together. Love ya lots. Keep em coming!!
How did you learn so much about vehicles so quickly at such a young age? Thanks....love the channel.
The internet is a grand thing. I started learning about it at about 15 and 5 years later I'm a heavy duty tech working for Cummins and before that freightliner.
Dude you can literally learn anything online..then just apply that knowledge..rinse.. repeat
This guys never worked for cummins and damn sure not freightliner... Saintsarecoming13 your a idiot not a "heavy duty" tech lmfao at this kiddo.
Josh Ring you don’t know him lmao don’t be a fucking dickhead
@@joshring9710 you don't have to believe me but I do, in fact, work for Cummins. I'm a midrange/heavy duty technician because I don't work on generators, boats, or high horsepower and I work on almost nothing in the way of off highway equipment. I'm ALMOST exclusively truck specific because that's where all of my experience is. And I did, in fact, work for freightliner. But I'm sure some guy on the internet who's never met me would know more about it than I would.
One million thumbs Western Sir, loved the build/transfer, love ya style and had to sign in to say my piece. Beautiful job and that cummins purrs like a wild bob cat
West, you're the man, great to see that beast rolling
What's happening to the '95 Ford? Let's see what its doing?
Favorite Westen quotes from the video
“I could go off an on out in the bushes”
“ I ain’t the smartest cookie in the jar”
Red faced an barely containing laughter “I got somethin in my mouth”😂
Westen, You are the Man! I dig everyone one of your videos and the content.
Man o' man I'm glad I found this channel. .... funny as hell and does a bunch of cool shit! Love it Wes.
Westen...you're a man of high caliper 😎 This is another content loaded great video! Just wondering...how many hours do you think you have into this project? I'd be interested to factor in your labor as a part of the cost. Keep the fun filled, high quality content coming!!!
Those 6.4 trucks are absolutely gorgeous vehicles
Yeah. Too bad they will leave you stranded and VERY light on pocket book.
One hell of a truck, and you got an awesome truck for your investment! Looking forward to performance upgrades!
Awsome stuff ! Glad someone put a vid of the cumins swap in a ford ! Keep them coming ! We will be watching
One badass truck sounds killer for a Ford Cummins is definitely a great motor
I'm from California not a Ford guy or Dodge but I still love this channel great content keep it up!
Jevon Shepherd geez I would hide the fact that your from California. Used to live there but I’ve been in Montana last couple of years. Don’t tell anyone your from California.
What if your a Californian Republican?
New to the channel... good job man!!!
Watched the series start to finish!!
That smiley face had me laughing out loud. I love the build and I've been binge watching your videos since yesterday.
These videos are awesome 👌 please keep them coming! I personally would love to see more videos on the work you do to the truck. Or any other projects really haha.
Nice job! My Dad had a 2010 6.4 he sold it before it gave birth.
Love your videos ya'll are good old boys how is the mustang build going you have a good sense of humor I'm from Alabama can't wait for the next video
I’m a new subscriber. Love this build, looking forward to the next one!
at least you're good at dragging 1 or 2 minutes out to 10. I do wish I lived in Kansas though
Nice job !!!we here in Wisconsin do the same swap !!tons of junk power jokes up here to !!!!
Where do you find them?
I love your work brother. keep going with new vids
Every day I check to see if you posted love your vids
That’s Kansas state government school math right there.
Can you elaborate on how the transmission is controlled? Stand alone? Or just the factory PCM?
This is a great video series in how you did this conversion and was fun to watch.
I just wish I could find an engine that was anywhere near what you paid. Just have to keep searching.
I like your Channel , and all your projects . I got a 2000 F-350 , long bed with a 7.3 6speed ,a simple program kit with 4 Setting , towed lot's of things with it from my Case Skidsteer to brother F-250 4x4 long bed on it from up North over 7500 feet to down here in Hot Phoenix .
Fred had a perfect entrance! Great video!
Finally, Wes! Been waitin' on this video since man was waitin' on a woman.
2:38 6.0 is far better than the 6.4. They need headstuds, gasket, egr delete, oil cooler and few other things. 6.4s are pretty much non-rebuildable; they're throwaway engines.
There both junk
Wade you are correct 6.0 studded and deleted is the most reliable light duty v8 diesel besides the 7.3
Not true! The 6.4 fixed all the mechanical problems of the 6.0. The new emission requirements wreck the 6.4. Over fueling the rear two cylinders to heat the DPF only washed down the cylinders and filled the oil pan with fuel destroying the engine. My deleted 6.4 is at 299,000 and about to roll over. No issues other than leaky radiator hose coolant fix. That said I have a 5.9 bus ready if I ever need it. Love the power of the tuned 6.4!!!!!
So why do I say 6.0 6.4 junk. My 96 Dodge manual 4x4. How old is it? I only two ball joints replaced two belts. Still on stock water pump clutch and everything else
This truck I give it hell and back and 4 wheel the hell off road it
All friends that did buy the Ford's said never again . Why should you need to fix the motor of a diesel . At 100.000 miles ?
@@larrysheftel8380 The issue is the DPF!!!!!! A stupid poorly designed contraption that sent extra fuel into the rear cylinders for heat to regen. It didn't work and only filled the crankcase with fuel which makes a shitty lubricant. Wore out everything, so yes, junk by then. Throw it away. If you get rid of the EGR and DPF BEFORE it eats the motor they will last. I'm not comparing to the 5.9 which I still have in a 1989 1 ton 4X4 from new. My deleted 6.4 has right at 300,000 and NO problems. After all the bad press I also have an early 24V 5.9 sitting in a low mileage bus if I need it. The 6.4 is quiet and powerful and so far very reliable, but it has been deleted since new. Others have the same experience. Others let the fuel oil in the crankcase wear out everything from the rockers down. It was famous for 'making oil' on the dipstick.
I LOVE that Fummins! Good work on it, looks good and runs great! Great I’d and content!
I have really enjoyed scrolling through your videos good sir, I like seeing the technical side of the videos and the series builds. I probal5gotta go through the vids but I would like to see more about that barn find charger. Keep up the on the good work.
Power driven diesel is definitely the right address 😬💪🏻
I drive a 2008 Ram 3500 Laramie but I like the looks of that Ford better. Then again, I sure do love my Cummins
Happy to hear it's going to visit the guys at Power Driven Diesel
Well sir you have inspired me. I use to have a 09 6.4 that blew up and I cut my ties with it. Now I am going to find another one and do this exact swap.
Damn dude that’s cheaper than I thought it would be. I’m stationed at riley and go to Wichita on occasion. I hope to see it!
I live in Andover😀
My 6.0 is running great! 225k with stage 1 turbo, one over stock injectors, tuned, and factory head gaskets! It's daily towed also
I love that you could what give the prices of things you paid because it helps us get them a figure in our brain of how much this stuff cost we know you have to make a profit when you sell it and I love that you put the date a video
The smiley face was by far what made my day thanks for awesome content
Cool swap Weston . Now, where is 97 Aeronose crewcab Longbed ? Us OBS guys need to know .😂
I like way you do no bs show how to do it and good so I say good job that come 47 yrs retired machainc that you meet good work later on
Awesome man I really loved watching this conversion and a bad ass truck
God damn your channels taking off like a rocket! Been here since the silver f250 the first truck
😇😁😁
My question is about the gauge cluster and transmission. What did you use to make the gauges work and how did you get the trans to shift, did you use a stand alone system?
Put Cummins badges one that truck man, hide the fact that it was ever a power stroke
he'll only be reminded every time he opens the hood since he used the shroud from the power stroke :(
@@jettables9470 Dremel tool can fix that as well though.
Drevain lol good idea
Drevain that’s some fuckery right there
Texas Aggies The fuckery is in the Powerstroke
Westen how many hours did it take you for this built. Your CZcams channel is one of the best here. When I get your notifications I stop what I’m doing to see what’s new on your channel. Keep up the great work.
I am EVER GOING TO do any of this but I subscribed because Wes is a big goof ball.
You said you got the 5r110 tuned. What tuning did you go with? Great video!
If they tune the existing computer you can still have the tow/haul function. The other option you don't have tow/haul. I don't think they have any stand alone tuners the customer can tune by themselves for the 5r110. They didn't a year or two ago when I did my swap.
I bought a livewire ts to record a datalog off the computer, then email that to DCS. They write a tune, email it back, use the livewire to load it in the truck computer, take it for a spin and record another datalog, email that back to them, and keep doing that till it's dialed in.
Could maybe take it to a performance shop to tune also probably.
Hey bud! I have a 2009 F250 Super Duty with a 5.9L gas engine I’d like to swap out for a Cummins but idk if I need the 12 or 24 valve for what I need it for as I’m trying to get into hotshot work!
I drive an F750 flat bed with the 6.7 Cummins in it, with the push button Allison trans... it’s a sweet set up. Only thing that gets that Cummins down is the def system, nothing but junk. Sweet conversion you did, looks great, thumbs up 👍
Great job bud. Most people really BS around and about when it comes to admitting how much money they dumped into a project. I appreciate your honesty with this. Rock Chalk! ;)
I like the Fummins a lot more than the Mustang. It's the best of both worlds.
I'd drive it till the wheels fell off.
Good Video. Now wait til someone wants to borrow it,or they need you to move furniture cause thier moving.
Bout time we got a new video! Thought I was gonna hafta drive out there and check on ya.
I really enjoy your videos I don’t really know that much about trucks but I have a Honda ridgeline but it’s nice to see how someone could take on an engine and put back another engine in another truck it was very cool
I have a 2010 F-350 6.4L/bad and am now considering a swap to a Ford 6.7L. Would it be more economical than swapping with the 5.9L Cummings? Seems to me it may be a easier swap match. Your thoughts?
1 week is too long to wait for new content!
Haha I agree 💯 but at least we're getting some.
Man if only you were around before the internet waitin a week for the next episode of your favorite show

Im going to try to get more videos out.

Hey buddy
Cummins Chevy hey chevy 👋🏻
@@mikestrucks 👍
Cummins in a Chevy is nice
Can't go wrong
Now that you have done this swap does this mean this truck is "Built Ford Tough" or is it "Cummin strong"?
Edit: I just realized I misspelled "Cummins" but I'll leave it there because it sounds like a good time either way
Still "Built Ford Tough" cause over 90% of the truck is still a Ford..
@@CreatedMind sadly
I'd say best of both worlds. However he did use basically the only good part in any Dodge truck.
Westen, I like how you break down the cost(s) for your projects........
Great build Westen way to go ...
YOU GET EXTRA CREDIT FOR BEING LEFT HANDED.....AND THANKS FOR THE COST INFORMATION.....
What auction sites do you use to find a truck like this that needs a motor?
I remember I was looking at which would be a nice diesel truck option to buy and surfing through different channels I and up watching this man doing a rebuilt with a wrecked ram 2500 and now I have seen all his videos
I just found your channel and I love it. Keep up the great wrk
