Wasn't expecting this style of gameplay but I will admit I am a fan of it can't wait to play this.

It's not though. It's not an ARPG. It's not a Diablo clone. It's more like Lara Croft and the Temple of Light. Or more exactly, it's exactly the same game play of Darksiders 1, just with a different camera.
@@raresmacovei8382 I don't think Dungeon Crawler necessarily means Diablo or ARPG this reminds me more of Guantlet just my take and it looks really exciting can't wait to play

As a fan of the series, i hope that Strife will have his own game as the rest of the Horsemen did.

He will, but it should come out after at least 2 years. The third one was released only months ago. It's still too early
@@g2.a6 yeah I know what you mean and that's how it should be. My only worries are they don't abandon this game just because darksiders 3 maybe didn't sold that much. I love this franchise and I want to see a closure of it.
@@cheilas87 from what i heard they were happy with Darksiders 3 sales. If they were to abandon the series they wouldn't bother with a spin-off.
Fury's story is not yet ended (seems like in july there will be second DLC). So Ds4 will be in 2020-2021.
I want to play as Death bc Darksiders 2 was my favorite and I would have to have a four player Darksiders game where you can play all of horsemen and play with friends
Yeah i think strife and death would be the perfect duo
It's hard to work on ideas for a mainline Darksiders game which fits Strife's fighting style, so Genesis as a spin-off, is an excellent testing ground in order to see what Gunfire Games could do while working on Darksiders 4(As a reminder, Genesis is developed by Airship Syndicate).
Yea but hopefully , Strife will have his own proper game with 4 maybe , unless they do him so right with this game and its story but still i want Gunfire's Strife too. Also they better get Jesper Keeps back .

@@Kobalt_Rax_the_one i mentioned the other developer for that reason. there's no way Gunfire will skip Strife's story, because:
1. Genesis is a prequel story.
2. Strife deserve equal treatment as the other horsemen
3. We still don't know Strife's fate after the events of Darksiders 3.
So with that said, Strife will get the focus for Darksiders 4.
@@MrGRmask Yea , can't think they will never do it and if they get Jesper again for the music and maybe the main artist that drew the world and its characters , would be perfect .
@@sugartoothYT Right!? That's what I like about this approach for this series is how they're fleshing out each horseman before we see all 4 together. And to further add to 3 is we see Ulthane with Mercy (Strife's four barrelled gun) in Darksiders 1, but Alia has Redemption in 2 and doesn't know or won't tell Death how it got there to begin with!?
Strife is just perfect for a Devil May Cry clone. Would definitely play, I love both universes.
It could definitely work because dante uses both swords and guns
to kill demons in all the games.
Strife seems to use nasty kicks for close range combat.
Reminds me more of the “Lara Croft” series (I.e. temple of Osiris etc) than Diablo.
One key thing you mentioned but didn't go in depth on was that the smaller company that is working on it is Airship Syndicate.
And for those who don't know, Airship Syndicate contains the other majority of the original creators of Darksiders before THQ dissolved. Meaning this game has more Darksiders veterans working on it than even Darksiders 3 did.
They have been very vocal about this game being a prequel. That means before Darkisders 1, and strife will have a own game in the coming years
I never thought my favorite franchise would be saved with 3 and then successful enough to not only get a 4th game in the main series but this new awesome looking spin-off in Darksiders: Genesis. Words cannot describe how happy I am! :)
This became my fav game of the franchise, i hope the final game is 4of em with the same gameplay & more
The art of Joe Mad is what makes this game extra awesome.

Guinea Pig Racer! I mean, he was at E3 promoting it and shared on all his social media. I may be wrong but his style is still there therefore it is awesome!
@@Savra The game is being developed by Airship Syndicate, which is Madureira's new team, that previously developed Battle Chasers: Nightwar. Darksiders 3 was developed by Gunfire Games which is made up by some ex members Vigil games as well, but not Joe himself. Really happy to see him back on the series though, game looks fantastic!
Really looking forward to this, will pretty much play anything from Darksiders!
The way stryfe dashes and uses his gun reminds me of lucian from league of legends

It is a spin-off and not a main game... Darksiders 4 is still being made.

This has actually made me even more excited for Darksiders 4 now as the Strife gameplay looks fantastic.
This is really a god direction
they can test strife game feel for the main darksider game, airship syndicate got the chance to make action dungeon crawler for possibly a sequel for battle chaser, the fan got more backstory and bros dynamic as well.
its a win-win-win

As far as I know Darksiders Genesis is a spinoff and there's a high chance we'll see a Darksiders 4 coming out the line with Strife as the main character down

@@xavierjohnson2597 - I personally liked 3 a lot. Considering the team and budget was way smaller then 1 or 2 they did a really good job getting new life back to the franchsie. I bet 4 will really be an improvement now that they know they put more money and time into it.
Damn this looks good. It is such a pleasant surprise to get a new Darksiders game this soon after Darksiders 3.

I'm so looking forward to this game. I love the Darksiders series. They have been great games. Be it gameplay and story. Everything just works. Can't wait. Plus thank you for answering one of the main questions I've been waiting for: is this game co-OP?? And you have answered it. Thank you. I can't wait to own this game several times over. I've been waiting to play as strife for so long. ever since Darksiders 1 came out, this will be a good warm-up for Darksiders 4

This looks surprisingly good.. Is there any loot in the game cuz Darksiders 2 had Diablo like loot in it.?
I'm loving the switch to an isometric camera. The camera in the Darksiders II ON PS3 and in the PS4 remaster wasn't all that hot. This is a game changer, literally. For the first time in a while I'm actually excited for a new game!
I hope they can add a SETTING where you can play local co-op with a single screen and split when the characters are far away from each other.

As a big fan of Darksiders, I could not be more excited for this! Everything looks amazing!
The only thing that saddens me is that it is a prequel. I was expecting them to continue the narrative. With War killing the Destroyer and free from the council, Fury defending the last remnants of humanity and Death bringing the rest of them back, it was building up to be a great setting for game like this with some huge team-ups.
Especially if you consider that some of the Angels and creators also standing at their side :)
Here's hoping this game does well enoguh for them to do just that :D
I'm late to the party, I'm just now downloading this on my PS5 lol. I own & played all others in the series and am looking forward to jumping into this in a few minute's, love the Diablo top-down gameplay 👌

game i can see the deablo feel... but dam im keen.. i have all darksiders ganes got the apocalyps edition of 3... they have done well and this looks different but fun... but nothing drastic...

Never heard of this game until now. Sort of wondering if this is the next "main" entry or if it's a random spinoff to introduce Strife. Either way, I want it.
That boss fight against Mammon looks like it could devolve into a bullet hell. This should be interesting... I think.

I know exactly how alot of people feel, i was personally looking forward to playing as Strife in the same combat style as the last 3 (not sure how they would of done it but I looking forward to seeing what they would have done) but this?
