Thank you for all the support! Banshee video coming soon! Sorry it's taking so long!
I have some plastics
I do have a bunch of parts for 1981 kdx 420
Wasn't the '86 and '89 KX125's the worst of all the 125's?
I have a spare pipe
revving up a 2-stroke like you are doing when it is cold is a brain dead thing to do... very easy for a ring to break since it has not heated up and expanded properly, meaning it is brittle and moving in and out of the exhaust port is looking for trouble.....
Reving a 2 stroke to the moon when it’s not even warm, sometimes you piss me off HAHA!
My friend cold seized his 2002 cr250 by not letting it warm up and proceeding to "pin it" down the road all taped out. This was back when.
When I was a kid I would want to ride it straight away lucky for me nothing bad happened so now I let it tick over a bit
Bwahahaha literally pissing myself when you trying to start the kwaka with fuel
Passing out everywhere. Looked like you lost bladder control 😂😂😂
Got to love Sunday mornings , Mustie1 7:00 AM , 2vintage then Taryl fixes all .. yeah .....👍👍
yes
Amen
O hell yea love those 125cc 900 bucks is a crazy good deal here in the netherlands they are asking 2300 for that kind of condition
Same in the UK fml
Same in Canada
Yes man that’s too much in Bosnia they are asking 1500-1800$. For that old bike i think that’s too much.

Hi guys and family i had 88 125cc kawaki in 1990 loved it cant wait see the video on it have great day today
I like how he always tries to kickstart these bikes without even putting fresh gas in them or checking if they have oil, spark, air filter etc etc.
he doesn't understand LOL
Greg nobody does all that
Why would he when he knows it runs?
@@jacksonwinter8023 dont think u understand, do u not watch this channel u melt
Stop hating. Your jealous
Nice to see you back into the two strokes, I'll be watching the progress 👍
it’s been awhile sence there’s been a walk around garage vid, i’d love to see the whole collection
Hell yeah, I don't even see the video but I already press the like button, I love this dirt bike content
glad to see you working on dirt bikes again deffently my favorite videos.
Nice to see all these kawasakis coming to the channel!
The small intake boot came with the Boyesen reed valves, I would suggest making a new one or repairing this one because on Ebay the reed valves cost $200
Another great video to watch thanks. Ben from London we love the channel 😀
2 vintage-"we're gonna make this bike look perfect" 🤣 you've never made a bike look perfect.... EVER!
Use a q tip and valve lapping compound and it’ll clean up the seat on the carb really easily, if the rubber is hard, soak it in olive oil overnight, might come back, just some cheap easy stuff to try!
Yooo, these old kawis are sick! AND you got 3 of them, my man! Love the content 👌
Before u order needle snd seat. Try a quetip in drill. Will valve grind compound. D0nt go crazy just clean the surface.
Old school trick my dad taught me in 80s
Your spark plug should be a crisp brown color at the end
I got a 1989 KX 125 and I only paid $200 for it now I’m just adding on accessories and rebuilding the motor. Great vid
Run fouled sparkplugs in the ultrasonic cleaner with simply green 50/50 mix 20 minutes with heat, then 5 minutes without heat with just water, it cleans them great.
Wire brush 20 seconds
@@ianmangham4570 wire brushes aren't recommended, I believe they can damage the plug or if it leaves a stray strand which then gets in the engine, but I've wire wheeled them before with a soft wheel on a bench grinder.
@@ianmangham4570 a wire brush dosen't get as deep and it scratches the porcelain.
@@M.TTT. Bollocks, who cares about scratched porcelain lmmfao
Keep up the great videos, I just started filming and working on bikes you definitely inspired me
3 nice kx's good deal on them, awesome video keep up the good work man
Nice to see you fixing up more bikes I love your videos and would love to do this for a career in the future I used to ride and race dirt bikes all the time as a kid I love the sport and I really really enjoy what you do as a CZcamsr be sure to never stop doing this I love and enjoy watching you’re restoration vids
Sick getting a 250 today
Nice!
Yes! Finally another dirt bike! 👍🏻
Man keep the work up love ur vids they are great man
Quality again my friend 👊🏻
“Accidentally bought 2 more”
You scared jade is gonna watch this video?
Crazy power out of these. Super easy to fix also. I love em
Nice find! I have a 1984 and 1985 KX125. They are fun bikes to restore.
Man I love hearing what you think it could be really knowledgeable!!!!
Dang!!! I just picked up an 1984 kx125 for free and I redid all the plastics and the engine and its an amazing bike I hope you have lots of fun!
Bro you hit the mother load i swear! I'm loving this intro with 3 kx 125s you did good.
When you can’t find boots like that, I’ve had good luck with radiator hose. It has rope lining through the rubber and really resists oil and gas for a long time. Nice buys!
im moving to wisconsin for these deals
Right? A 99 kx250 w/ no compression was just listed near me for $1500 & I was considering buying it but it sold immediately.
@@andrewhart9941 I remember the days you could pick a blown up 2 smoker up for $200
right!!!
Right, everyone wants big bucks for bikes here on the east coast.and you can forget about getting a big bore bike.cant find them!
Nice bikes joe thanks for the video was bored out my head lol
thank god a bike! after the engine the next thing i check is rear suspension sag side to side
movement on swing arm and hubs as to rebuild these can kill finances on a project
Back in the 80's I had a friend who put pam cooking spray on the power valves when he clean them. He said it keeps carbon from sticking to the valves. I don't know if it worked or not
Teflon
We used PAM under our fenders on mud races!! Wouldn't hurt on the power valves but burn off pretty fast...yeah probably some top tip used by many....lol😆😂
@@garymallard4699 I used to use a can of wd40 on my cr500 back in the late 80s ,keeps the mud off everything .
@@ianmangham4570
Anything oily or slippery will help keep the muck from stickin'
I used to fill my air filter walls with Vasoline or grease ...just coat it so the dirt will stick and your filter gets less dirty..especially in sand tracks ..i put some between filter and carb on the boot - inside in case anything got past too ..more for seeing if my filter leaked than anything....easier to tell if stuff was getting sucked in...
Cleaning the filter box was easy..
Just wipe it enough to get the dirt/sand out and recoat it....doesn't take long... I could run one filter on our beach sand track when everyone was changing or cleaning their's ( i had spares ready too - cleaned and oiled in plastic zip lock bags if needed of course ) .
Probably made it worse once it got really hot
Nice score!!lastnight I picked up a mint barn find tri.z250 been rebuilt before it was stored away for 20 yrs finally got a good deal up here in Washington keep it up brother
don't forget to check the floats, float. some times they get holes in them. and fill up with fuel. so that could be an issue also.!
Great find on all 3
Yay.. more dirt bike content! :)
Great video, looks like you might get 3 bikes handy enough from these 2 1/2 KX125's👍🙂🏍
Who else thinks he should buy a kdx200? I think it’d be a good series
I love mine, great all around bike. It's an 89 too. 🤘
1000cc supersport I'd say, let's see 140+mph down that road 😀
No u can’t get parts for them
A 90,s mod kdx 250 would be the go
@@backyardbangers1012 again the kdx models are insanely hard to fine parts he would have to buy a 2006 just to get parts I had spend 320$ to ship a fender for my 94 kdx200 when I had one and they leak oil from the brake lines and exhaust I have a couple videos on my channel of my 94 when I had one there good practice bikes for 250 strugglers but that’s it I advise something 2000s maybe a blaster?
Great bikes from the 80's and video😀
I just love the sound of and old bike starting up again after years 😂
That looks like a Boyesen RAD valve. Nice upgrade over stock. 1989 last year of the single radiator. Always loved the look of those bikes. The air leak is more than likely your top end issue; it's causing the bike to run to lean(will also cause a high idle, I think that's why the idle dropped when you sprayed it, it stopped the air leak until it was all sucked through the crack). Don't forget to put on the two vent hoses on the top side of the carb.
I’ve been binge watching your videos learning how to work on bikes lol
Love it have a 91 kx250 myself and still rips
I’ve actually Replaced the milk in my morning coffee with WD40. It loosens me up and clears out the unwanted grime for the long day ahead. Also, I FRICKING LOVE THE KX125!!!!! 🤙👍🤘
Yeah booooiiiiiii Yeeeeeeew
@@RagdollRacingInc lol
3 in 1 might lube it better after it cleans your orifices up just sayin
SORRY JOE THINGS DONT FIX THEMSELVES.BUY A NEW CARB BOOT I LEARNED DONT EVER DO WHAT YOU DO BECAUSE ITS ALL WRONG 90% OF THE TIME
Very helpful video 👌🏽
I’m not sure if I was doing a triple on that bike and having silicone on the intake rubber could mean The possibility of certain death when the engine revved out of control LOL. Seriously I think you should get all three bikes going it’s great to see you working on Kawasaki’s Love your videos.
We used to make intake boots with radiator hose. It works if you can't find oem part.
Mannn I’m still waiting for banshee great video joeeeeee
Finally some dirt bike vids been too long
Nice bikes. I had 2 1986 kx 125s. I sold one but have lots of spares available. Stator cdi, forks etc.
when you first fired up the bike, she sounded like she's idling high to begin with. then when you found the boot, i was like, "ahh, that might be an issue."
AWESOME project's for you to wrench on mate 🙏🇬🇧🙋♂️
Great stuff! I've been working on restoring my first dirtbike ever, a 1985 Suzuki dr250! Got all the parts ordered but the back axle bolt.... Can't find one ANYWHERE. Sucks.
Nice joe!!!
Nice team green:) Maybe find a boot on one of the other 2 bikes?
They made us use the sparky ate the silver lake sand dunes in Michigan . Good buy 65 isn’t to old 🥸😂😂🦦
holy shit ! never clicked on a viseo that fast
I’m excited for the kdx 175 vid. Those are rare!
Q tip and compound on a drill will clean and remove any tiny burrs from the seat just do that before cleaning the carb body...
Me and my uncle got a 1991 kdx 250 with title and street legal for 200 bucks
Need some vforce,or vetoes reeds, those bikes are awesome dude you scored big time, you got a very good deal on Those!!
Thanks for the tip when I buy bikes
2nd time I’ve heard you say could be water in the float lol
Looks like it might have a boysen rad valve should be able to get a replacement boot for it
Those are quick bikes I know from exspearience the one I drove was lil older and yee haaaw .power band engaged and hold on sweet.godbless and stay safe.
Good find! I am currently searching for a Kawasaki KX125 to build! Why can't that be in Phoenix, AZ?? I am looking for a 2004 if possible ...
Please show the float seat replacement, I have the same drip issue for my KDX 200 and stuck
Sooo jealous, nice one! 👍😁✌
125s were always my favorite dirt bikes as they're almost full sized, lightweight, nimble and were plenty fast enough for lighter riders but not scary like the 500s could be plus the parts for 125s were less and usually in stock at lots of stealerships back in those days...
I love your channel only you can go for 1 and get 3 😅😅😅love and respect from England 🏴
That's a good video love all of them
When you said you bought the 2 others on accident, you reminded me of my dad lol
Nice find man
Wow nice finds👍
Nice man!
Great video. Educational
🤡
Lol, 2 87s you were set up, good score...88-89 are the same, clean your kips valve, and check the crank seal, you need a new float arm and needle, the 88 is fun off road, and turns great..
Please hurry up Joe,i need to see that rubber inlet manifold fix ,Awesome channel mate just sick 😎🙋♂️👱♀️🇬🇧🇺🇸
get that quad running man
I still got a 86 KX250 from my years of racing...course it needs put together!! But one day i will get to it ..raced 15 years until 91
shoe goo works awesome for repairing intake boots!!!
Did you set the float height to spec? You can clean seat using qtip and toothpaste or mild abrasive.
I had one in college, great trail bike
Cheap turns out to be expensive. Hope you have better luck than I have. I picked up a '96kx125 last month and finding parts is hard and expensive. I have way more money in mine that I will ever get for it when I sell it.
leaning out check crank seals and intake
Why didn’t you check the reeds when you had the carb off?
Sweet! I would buy one off you if I lived closer.
Great trick to check a piston if your not taking it apart is by sticking your phone in there and take a flash on video while you push it over by hand 👍🏼
@2vintage that boot isn't hard to find, you just need to know what it is. It a boyesen rad valve. So that what you need to find the replacement boot for. Good Luck. Here is the model number for the replacement boot. # RB-3 www.ebay.com/itm/Boyesen-Replacement-Boot-for-Rad-Valve-RB-3/233923336223?epid=171190172&hash=item3676ead81f:g:dC8AAOSwL0pgRbgc
I replaced my carburetor coupler with a piece of automotive radiator hose, it's reinforced and holds up better than the stock coupler, done this several times
you can use a piece of coolant line for the diy carb boot
@2vintage what sources do you use for finding used dirt bikes? I don't have much luck even locating bikes for sale
