I never thought I’d learn so much from a binocular video. Very well done. I enjoyed every second.
Your voice is insanely comforting and calming. Thanks for the info!
I’m buying from you because of this video! Thanks for a simple, educational, and enjoyable explanation. Bravo!
Wow, if you were to watch one video as a beginner, this is the one to watch. So much info packed into your video.
Fabulous!!! Finally clear and explained.
A brilliant presentation, thank you!
A few years ago, I created a helpful concept about image magnification. Take the square root of the advertised power and we will have what can be called the linear magnification - such as how many times wider the subject will appear. For example, the subject as seen through a 16 power device will appear a 4 times wider. With a 100 power device, the subject will appear as 10 times wider.
Thanks John, that was a great presentation and had the info I was seeking.
Thank you for this video. I just got my binoculars and I am excited to start bird watching.
Fantastic. I just forwarded your video to a younger friend who is after some clear advice on binoculars for this very same purpose. Congratulations!
Brilliant presentation for beginners and experienced alike. Great for teaching the fundamentals to the beginner and reinforcing knowledge of the more experienced. The bonus factor is the delivery. Just superb! Clear, articulate, smooth, engaging. 👏
Great information, easy to follow and well presented. Thank you.
True professional Thank you for the information..
Thank you so much for this video !
Very helpful and informative 👍
Very clear information.
Great video. Thank you :)
Very impressed. You have one of those voices. Demanded my full attention all the way through, Clear and concise. As to handshake, I use a photographer#
Great advice - thank you.
Any comments on options for night vision and recording of images options.
You are an awesome person with nice skill of teaching others about optics and binoculars. I am very happy that there are people like you.
I have had a camera to shoot photos of birds but I turned to binoculars and observing more than making photos - I sold my Canon Powershot SX60 HS and bought Celestron-Nature DX ED 8x42 binoculars.
I like coffee, and I'm not young, so I'll be narrowing down my choice at 8x32. Beginner birder here. Thank you for the breakdown on binoculars.
Great info on binoculars in the style of a ghost story.
We’ll done. Very informative.
Good info. Thank you!
Thank you. I know most people will want binoculars that see everything from the birds to the moon. Basically, the magnification of binoculars is a line of being out and about bird watching vs having a very high end magnification that is heavy and will need the help of a tripod to stay focused and deliver an image that is not blurred.
Enjoyable video with dry humor, ha ha!! Thanks!
love this
Very good video, thanks. Nobody ever mentions zoom binoculars, though!
Whats a good mid level Binocular for viewing vultures in flight? Love the video and Thanks. P.S had been looking at a Bushnell Falcon 10x50 Wide Angle Binocular model
What model did you end up getting? Are you liking them for tracking big birds in the sky?
good day sir i bought 80x90 binocular i just want to know if 80x is the magnification at 90 is the messurement of the objectives?,im just new in this hobby.
Oh my god this guy is awesome
Great info and guide, surprised you did not touch on the low light advantage of a wider lens, guess one can´t touch on everything.
Also surprised you did not mention the many other uses for special options, compass, range finding re sailing and the many other
fields that people want good optics for.
I am juggling between bird watching and the longer view range for tracking, so thought I would need a zoon feature and a low weight option?
Maybe I should go for one of those small scopes instead.
you should take up fishing.
Thank you
Which is good for long distance view?
Nicely described!
I am 78 years old and like to purchase one. I think I should go for 6 x 32 as you prescribed. Would you please recommend what make I should purchase?
This guy doesn't respond to questions
Excellent! From South Africa. ( nothing wrong with a tea addiction!)
Is Nikon monarch 7 10*42 better than celestron Skymaster 15*60? Which one is more sturdier
As to handshake, being as you put so well, no longer young, I use a photographers walking pole for support and balence so that if I stop to see someting interesting I just click the bino's on. Handshake reduced instantly. Best Wishes.McIntyre. Scotland.
I have found that the porro? Prism binoculars are better for those of us with very close set eyes.
Wow~
omg thanks
being blind in one eye . do you make monoculars or could recomend a better choice in binos for birding
Yes we have monoculars. Here are the ones we carry: www.celestron.com/collections/monoculars
Are we getting college credit for this? 😂
I thought I knew a lot about binoculars but I learned a couple more things today explaining the degrees of field of view and magnification to objective lens ratios was helpful. Explaining the advantages of 3 dimensional detail from porro prism Binos vs roof prism was helpful. Is that based on the prisms themselves or the spacing of the objective lenses? I appreciate your time with these videos and sharing. Thank you!
Awe
15X70 (have wide view). Giant Binoculars are easy to handle and in strong arms binoculars are not shaking in case of 70mm objective lenses. Just install good eye guards and practice how to hold it.
How much for the beard?

Hated to knock off your 666 likes, but it was a great video. ❤❤❤
Papa Bino is da bomb.
This guy is like the Ollivander of birding, but instead of wands his thing is binoculars.
I have to say sir you look like lord of the rings fellow
You look like a charming inn keeper with a secret magical backroom and potions distillery. If I speak the secret code, will you grant me a quest?
Wheres the pipe?
10 to 1 this guy smokes a pipe
