Advise from a tax accountant: Don't get an LLC just to get one so you can feel like a "business owner".
Depending on the state you reside in, there can be a mandatory yearly tax plus a bunch of tax prep fees that may be unnecessary.
But what to do instead
This is bad advice. why would one be doing business without an llc
Depending on your business, having liability insurance can be suitable enough for protection. Plenty of people waste money on an LLC that's not required.
For tax purposes, A single member LLC still get treated as a sole proprietor (self-employed) unless you elect it be treated as an S corporation.
If the LLC is not elected as an S corporation, then whether it's a LLC or not, all the business' income and expenses will still flow to your Form 1040 Schedule C and be taxed there.

Its a good thing.. Those protection and taxable loop holes take financial responsibilities somewhat away from him publicly... Ever rich /wealthy personal ive worked for have shells co's and LLC/corp to move $$ or hold the liability and assets of the company in which they maintain control.. Its a wonderful thing. "most of us" are just not educated.

Quick question: Does having a LOT of LLC helps like "lessen" your tax due to how it is usually taken advantage of instead of having a main corporation to operate instead?
The main reason to have separate LLC’s is to limit liability to the operations of each business. You would set up tax planning for each entity, according to the tax code for that business (federal, state & local level). So each entity can have different tax planning to minimize the tax burden.
If you have one corporation that houses “selling music” and “touring” income & operations, if someone has a probable with the operations of the touring business, they will sue the corporation, exposing the music sales income to potential damages. If you put the operations of “selling music” and “touring” in separate entities (LLC or Inc), if someone has a problem with the operations of either business, the “touring” income & operation will not be affected by “selling music” operations.

Rather, they’re what’s called a “pass-through entity.” Their income (or losses) are “passed through” to the company’s individual shareholders to split up amongst each other (reported on a Schedule K-1) and report it on their own personal income tax returns.
S corps report their income to the IRS on Form 1120S.
Once you’ve made sure that your company satisfies all of the IRS’s requirements, you must then file Form 2553, Election by a Small Business Corporation, signed by all of your company’s shareholders.

Lots of people have LLC if someone has lots of high networth they own many business it’s normal to have them in a LLC in case you were to lose your money , or so I e tried to sue you your LLC companies in which you have money will be safe your business will be safe . If someone tried to sue you if your business is under a LLC they can’t touch your business and your money . Depends on how much you own as a single member LLC. If you make over a certain amount as a single member LLC, an S-Corp is a better tax option.

@@monica62888 If you are not profitable yet, yes, stay as regular LLC for your state. I can’t remember the dollar amount right now, but there is a threshold for tax benefits for single-member LLCs that would help by filing as an S-Corp.
