- A Massachusetts State Police board on Monday recommended that Trooper Michael Proctor, the disgraced lead investigator in the Karen Read murder case, be suspended without pay amid an ongoing internal affairs investigation into his “unprofessional” behavior following the death of Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe.

Proctor's horrible text messages are one thing, but how unprofessionally he has handled his work in the Karen Read case threatens to be left behind in the text message scandal. All the cases he previously investigated should be looked at in a new light. His unprofessional behavior speaks volumes in all the sectors that his work involves.

The Judge should be held accountable as well. Evidently biased against the defendant, she didn’t include the Not Guilty Verdict in the form handed to the jury for them to decide whether the defendant was guilty or not guilty. Also, the Judge gave the jury very confusing instructions.
