We continue our tribute to the 1971-72 television season... this weekend, with a focus on one of James Garner's less known television series... Nichols.
In this interview Mr. Garner gave on the Dick Cavett Show, which was broadcast on January 27, 1968, Garner discusses the challenges and financial ramifications of his various series, including the big ones, Maverick and The Rockford Files, but also chats about his personal favorite, Nichols.

A man of competence, confidence and principle. A rare combination to find in the entertainment industry and “Hollywood” culture. He is well remembered and dearly missed. I enjoyed Nichols, too; however briefly.
